He really is a champion, stopped Benn, who at that point had knocked 22 people out in 22 fights, beat Eubank and got robbed on a decision, then beat him again but one shot done that to him. Then he has fought back to be able to move and speak again. True warrior, total respect to Michael.

No doubt, but Eubank was a warrior too. He admitted he was beat, outclassed, knocked down and still got up and moved forward. Michael was crippled and still got up and recovered. Both of them are the embodiment of warriors, and a lesson of what we are capable of. If we tap into that

Michael had absorbed a lot leading up to the last round from Chris's timed punches and a flurry in the last round. But what did the damage was the perfect uppercut from Chris.....It would have made zero difference if Michael had hit the rope or the canvas.....That was brutal and Chris won by getting back up and delivering the perfect KO......

I remember those fights with both Benn and Eubank.. and of being so disgusted with that first Eubank fight travesty, as well of course as the horror at what came to pass in the rematch (a fight that should never have been required!!).. Michael Watson was and clearly remains a real class act, and - as someone whos been in a coma themselves and, in my own case, has been fortunate enough to make an almost complete recovery - its fantastic to see that he's come so far back in his recovery!!!

Glad he survived after that rematch with Eubank. That must have been scary and I think he was winning the fight until that point. At least he won the main fight.... His life! 👍
