@@BlackflowerGamerz for couch surfing the web and social media, the small iPad is wonderful. I find that editing small video projects I can still do in Lima fusion with my external monitor just fine. Plus the portability is now more important to me with work travel.

Just got my iPad mini earlier this week and I love it so far. Perfect size for watching content and I’m excited to use it for it productivity. Currently waiting for my Apple Pencil and a few other accessories to come in
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make a series for iPad only accessories, no cases and monitors or stands but fundamental game changers for the user experience. Simplicity is appreciated.
Got my paper like for the mini six in the mail today. I installed it while watching the video. And I almost made a total mess of it. But I rescued the situation.
I like the way it fits on the screen, and it looks OK. I don’t think it takes too much away from the screen brightness or clarity.
And that textured feel when you use the Apple Pencil on the paper like screen? That has a nice feedback and I guess you could say it almost feels like you’re writing on paper.

The 3L doesn’t have Padded Tablet Sleeve. I used and cut Padded Insert Liner from my old camera messenger bag to make the Padded Tablet Sleeve like the Sling 6L and 10L for my 3L

First one I got for mine.. Was the Type C SanDisk 512 drive...With the USB 3.0 transfer on the other end...I have it on my Olight 1R2 EoS flashlight..

Just got my iPad mini 6 yesterday and I can't put it down! And I bought a whole bunch of accessories for it too including the paper like, pentips, the 65W Ahon charger, apple folio. Now on to the credit card bill LOL.

Nice think about owning a iPad with a USBC Port already is I have most of the accessories I need. I am up to three different cases for the mini. I like the ones with the pencil holders molded into the side. The Apple Pencil falls off too easy. I have lost my pencils so I need it to be more secure.

Patrick your videos rock… I was using my iPad Pro as my only computer for awhile and loved it. However one issue I ran into was multitasking. For instance. If I edited a video in LumaFusion I had to leave LF open while exporting. That hindered me from working . Do you think Apple will ever fix this? Apps going to sleep or whatever when in background.
Hey Casey, thanks! That's a two part question. I think partly it's down to the app developers whether an app stays awake in the background. On the M1 iPads, there is absolutely no reason for an app to go to sleep, especially on the 16GB version. As far as pro apps are concerned, we all had high hopes for WWDC earlier this year when they announced iPadOS 15, expecting things like Final Cut pro on the iPad etc. It was a huge letdown. If you look at Apple's lineup, you see that most of the devices are extremely capable but all of them have flaws that seem intentional. The iPad mini for instance is super powerful, but it had a sub par screen and no smart connectors on the back, to name a few. The iPad Pro doesn't have real multi window support and no decent external monitor support. I think all of these tablets could be laptop replacements, but apple doesn't want them to be. They want every item in their inventory to be a companion to another item. Currently, I'm using an iPhone, an iPad mini, iPad Pro, and MacBook. That's what a apple wants, unfortunately.

That model of case provide no protection from impact or scratches that potential hit the metal side of the ipad, i suggest you to get a spigen transparent case that work the same with better protection.

I honestly don’t like cases with the front cover, So I just got a cover that snaps on the back, has a built-in stand, and pencil holder. It’s nice not having to worry about knocking your pencil off your iPad

Type A or Type B CFExpress card reader? Also is it as fast as the ProGrade version?
Type B. I haven't done a side by side comparison but is pretty fast, can't say I notice a difference using either one. Officially it's up to 10Gbps.

Finally got my ipad mini 256gb cellular model in purple and the Apple pencil, loving it so far, very responsive unit and prefect for gps navigation as well in the car. Great follow up review Patrick, awaiting on the case to arrive from Amazon that holds the pencil as well as unfortunately, the cases from Apple have a delay here in Australia of 4 weeks! Keep it up Patrick!!!

You are wrong on the peak design space. The iPad mini can easily fit in a 3l peak design bag & for the 6l, an 11inch ipad. Thought ill just put this out to prevent confusion. Cheers, great review

The mini is more powerful than the iPad 9 but it's a lot smaller. I don't know how important the screen size is for you.
Yeah it's really the upgraded specs that really got me interested with the mini! Going to use it for drawing and also as a second monitor for research / media
I checked the link for the card reader (at kickstarter) and a lot of people are complaining about the device not functioning as adverticed. The last update on kickstarted was three month after this video was posted and it was announced production was delayed. I am curious how this thing can be the holy grail before it was even produced. Nice kickbooster link though.
Obviously the project won't be live anymore, it's called a kickstarter project for a reason. A quick Google search will help you figure out that it's been in full production for quite some time now and available on Acasis' own website, as well as many third party retailers. As for the "nice kickbooster link" comment, I'm very sorry us creators make use of the opportunity to got a miniscule kickback for a limited amount of time whenever someone decides to buy the device we spent time reviewing and documenting for you. @@PatrickRambles Hey Patrick, thanks for explaining Kickstarter to me, that's very kind of you. I am aware the project isn't live anymore, still this is the link you had in your description. Surely I tried to search for the dock but probably I am just bad with the interwebs and could not find that specific Anyoyo product. I checked the Acasis website (did not find any info about Acasis on Kickstarter before) but could not find the product there either.
See, my problem is you are advertising a product which you call a holy grail (so it must be extremely good, right?) without talking about your experience with it while the product wasn't available yet and with people complaining about it not working as advertised later on. It doesn't matter if the Kickstarter is over, I am left thinking whether you actually had a working device to show. You didn't answer that. And you actually didn't review it, at least not in this video.
As for the "I hope you enjoyed your free video." comment, thanks, it was quite enyouable. But actually it wasn't free. I pay "creators" by watching adds and giving viewtime (you are monetizing your videos, aren't you?). And I am very happy to order via an affiliate link. But I expect some transparency. I want to have trust in a creator only recommending products they trust themselves. I watched other videos about iPad accessories and people did actually show and proof that and how a dock works. All you did is show me it comes in a hard shell. And then send me straight to the kickstarter link. Where I read complaints about the product.
So your intransparancy combined with actual users being unsatisfied combined with you getting a kickback for your recommendation makes me feel like I smell something fishy here. I want to give you the benefit of a doubt though. I am not saying you are dishonest, but unfortunately that is the impression I got. The way you react on me calling you out isn't helpful either. Instead of appreciating the criticism and clarifying (maybe provide a working link to the product and explain your experience with it) you chose to get defensive and make some snarky comments. That makes me rather not watch more of your content and trust your recommendations.

I cannot Imagine why anyone would pay premium Apple prices for a cover. I have always been over priced total rip offs. So many equally as good or better after market choices.
It's just a matter of preference. There are plenty of great third party cases and I use those too. I just like the apple ones for the iPad.

I'm one of those people who has never had a smart phone...just a flip phone. But, in this day and age, everyone assumes you have a smart phone like for buying tickets to things or for QR codes, or for GPS, so I am going to bite the bullet keep my flip phone and get an iPad mini 6 with WIFI + cellular. I'm looking for help with a couple of things: what would be a good car mount so that I can use the GPS, and is there a way I can get a cheap sim card with low monthly charges for use when I need it and that I can turn off when I can use hot spots or other wifi. Anybody have an idea? I'm a little afraid to put my personal email here to get a response and I don't know how I'll be notified, if a response comes in. Fingers crossed.
Hi Beverley, I'll keep an eye out for a good car mount for you. As regards the Sim card, it could be a good idea to contact your carrier. I'm located in Belgium and here we can simply apply for a second sim card which shares the same data bundle. It might be different where you are. Best give them a call.

Thanks. If I give a product a negative review, it's possible that the company will not send me future products, that's their choice. When a company sends me a product, unsolicited, and it's not a good product, I usually don't review it. It's not because of some bias, it's just that my reviews are usually based around products I actually think are useful and that I use myself. I don't see the value in creating a video about a shoddy product.
