I have never built a single thing but been watching since you started building inside the house. I think I finally might get my tools & empty a spot for building in my basement. Im getting closer to making something...lol
I really like the deep drawer!
The woman is right. Deep drawers are a GOOD THING!!
Sssooo!, I grabbed my current night stands to chalk paint. Then realized I had not seen the shop build up date! While watching the update you posted the night stands!!! Off to the shop to build night stands!!!! Thank you so much! Give me two weeks and I will send you a picture of our new Master bedroom!
Beautiful, classic - both the night stands and you Ana.
Great build! Loving the safety glasses too.
You are always awesome
Hey Ana, hope you won't mind if I alert you to a potential problem I've learned myself that I noticed as you were assembling your nightstand. I saw that the short 2x4's you used inside had the "bullseyes" in the end grain, which means those boards were from the pith, or center, of the tree. Boards cut from the center of the tree will ALWAYS crack eventually. Just wanted to give you a heads-up on that. Love your design for the nightstand. Very nice.
Thanks Mike!
I kept pausing the video and listening for my chirping smoke detector and then realized it was in the video!! 😜😂Great project!
Sorry about that, I will get the batteries changed today
Ana White You don't have to do that or apologize! I just thought it was funny 😊
Ana White my ears are so bad, I never noticed. Oh no, my smoke detector is chirping too. 😁❤️👍
Lol. It threw me off for a couple of chirps too. Then I realized my smoke detector was in the other direction and the chirping was in the video.
I'm with Mike Thompson...I never heard it either.
Love the nightstand, but I would make them a little taller and make 2 shallow drawers.
Kirsten I bet you could do a swell hack with the plans.
Love your channel! Will continue to watch and build things from here!
Awesome! Thank you!
Am I the only one that thought that when you wer cutting the 1/4 ply, it looked like you were cutting at an angle .....the bottom was smaller than the top......wow optical illusion. And no I have not been drinking....lol.
My daughter said the same thing when she was watching the video too, camera angles?
I saw that! Didn't make sense to me.
Me too! I thought, Why is she cutting that at an angle? ...Oh.
@@AnaWhiteDIY i think it was camera angle
When I have my own house I would love to learn to make my own furniture :D
Well done
Thanks!
No ones going to be standing on it. I’ve been standing on it.
Ok you got me hahaha. I should have said no one should be standing on it
A+++
You're a ninja Anna!
Will you make a Murphy wall bed/desk sometime?
We have so much interest I think I need too!
Ana White yes I need to make two without buying a kit.
Ditto!
I noticed your use of Brad nails, nothing particular bad with them, but could we substitute use self tap screws to assemble 🤷♂️?
Nobody will be sitting on it. Nobody will be jumping on it.
Thinks about my childhood, and all my relatives children.... Yeah....... Lag bolts, welded frames, lots of glue, cross bracing....
Then we might be distantly related. And I was a small child.
Thank you for the video. I love your creativity!
Fantastic DIY that is proper Do it Yourself 💞 i saw a pinterest mentioned but cant find it.. do you have one?
P.s. im gonna try the outdoor furniture... i looooooove it 💞. Glasgow UK
Requesting a home tour!!! I know I can't be the only one dying to see y'alls beautiful home! I love your style and it's an inspiration to me and my home. So please share a tour!!
Hi! I love this project! Do you have one for matching 6 drawer dresser?
Not yet but was thinking of adapting!
@@AnaWhiteDIY I am looking forward to it! This bedroom furniture is exactly what I have wanted!
Thank you for the plans. I made the bed as well as the night stands. I also would love a matching dresser. Your projects are wonderful and so easy to follow. My house is full of your designs. Keep up the good work.
Anna you built everything as easy as making a ponytail. Thank you for inspiring me. 😍😍😍😍
What a great job you did Ana! Just amazing. Your skills are so on par. Better then some men's.
Keep it up gf,
Chris from Missouri
That was really clever way to cut that full sheet of plywood...I'm allways so amazed with your utilization skills.
Nice project. Matches perfectly with the bed. Love the little ones jumping at the end. Brought back memories 😃
When I jumped on my mom's bed and broke the leg it Didn't make for a pleasant memory!
Very cool, thank you for sharing your design. God bless you and your family
Oh. I need to do this one for guest bedroom! 👍🏻. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this. I was dreading calculating the change for the California king. My husband really needs a bed. I love your designs.
Looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing another great video. Keep up the great work. ATB : )
Love it. I might make some of that in my guest bedroom in “Texas Longhorns” Theme along with your headboard smile 😊
Thank you for the video. Your well designed plans are a definite hit and can be customized so easily.
Great just finished the bed. Now on to the night stand.
It's a very easy way to do it.😃👍
Such a great look and so simple to build. Love your builds
what are the dementoins
Easy, simple, beautiful! Love it. Great job.
love the simplicity of it,and the stain genius! adorable kiddos!
Why didn't you just cut the corner off the sheet of plywood? I really like the way that table goes together. I could make it longer and taller, and add a drawer at the other end. Then I would set it up to the backside of my 48" base cabinet as an island. Nice work!
I have found that trying to store a 4x8 piece with a corner cut off tends to catch on any thing you want to move in or out next to it. Could just be me ....but I don't think so.
Nice work and you can make a shelf under the drawer and maybe you can put a squared piece of glass on the top it’ll preserve the top of the wood
Love this idea!
U r so cool it is so neat to see a woman building her own stuff.
Nice project ...think I'll try it👍🇺🇸what make are those cordless tools ? Does that nail gun take different size nails? I never had a nail gun.😁
Ryobi, and yes it takes different size 18 gauge nails.
Nice! The Farmhouse look I everywhere lately. Thank you for posting previous projects : How to build a sliding wall mirror cabinet. Somehow, I missed that one. It is so needed! Thank you for ingenuity & prob solving.
Wow, these look great! Thanks. Your Kids are really growing!!
We always enjoy your builds but we really like the simplicity of this one, yet it is a beautiful end table. Great job!!
Thank you!!!
thanks for sharing the video
Anna, such an easy design with a good look.
I do have one question as to top edge overhang. Is that your own style preference or is function built into the idea of no top overhang?
Thank you! I wanted to match the modern farmhouse bed that has no overhangs so that’s why the top is flush.
But in the plans the top is about 1/2” bigger (I left this overhang on the back) so if you wanted an overhang on the front, just move the boards forward. You can also cut the top boards up to 2” longer without altering the shopping list- it all still fits on an 8 foot board

Thank you, Anna.
I tend to over design things I make and to watch your ideas come together is a pleasure to see.
Great video. Thanks. Great job.
god job gretings from,,. argentiina.,.,
Nicely done Ana! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Hi Anna. My nightstand is out of square on the right front by about an inch. Everything is level, but I was wondering if you could advise me on how to get my nightstand square? I have reviewed your video several times. Thank you for your help.
I loved the ending...can't believe how much your daughter has grown!
That’s my favorite part too! So hard to work though lol!
Wow, awesome table Ana! And you can use it as a step stool! Lol
Ana , I love everything you & your husband are doing. Thank you so much for sharing. 💖👍👍😊
Thank you! Feels good to get a project of my own done! Baby is getting bigger/easier!
I cant watch...heavy metal rock music and I don't mix.
Ana, you do such great work.
Me podría proporcionar las medidas..muchas gracias
Thank you Ana for sharing, love your channel. Awesome tips and brings lots of memories when my husband custom built our van back in the 70’s, my husband does easy wood project and myself lots of quilting projects. Aloha for now!!!
All hail QUILTING!!
Love the video.. I was trying to do it too, it didn't go well the little wheels of the drawer came off of one side but not the other..
Awesome and simple .... love it ... and love the kids ماشاء الله تبارك الله على الأطفال
I see this video is two years old but did you ever replace the battery in that smoke detector?
This looks so good!
I started with Woodglut plans.
Ana, “Nobody’s going to be sitting on it...” Me, “Clearly she doesn’t know my kids...”
LOL!
That's what I need! Thanks Ana.
Would love to build one myself but I'm just a young kid (22) with no power tools or the experience to do it. I'll just have to buy one instead.
Great jub ana you are so good in what you doe I ALWAIS learn from you
Thanks so much 😊
Столько гвоздей! Гвозди не видны? Гвозди не портят внешний вид изделия?
Nice night stand Ana! Thanks for sharing the video.👌😎JP
Nice project but in beginning of this video you have said that “show you how to build this with very basic tools” did you mean 200$ nailer or 800$ festool mitre compound saw?
Couldn’t finish watching with the smoke alarm chirping incessantly...
sehr einfach gemacht ist aber nicht interessant ausser für die garage
Could one use self-tapping screws instead of brad nails to attach all the pieces (if one doesn't have a brad nailer)? Thanks.
It's doable, there might be more filling holes and sanding. I would recommend a screw like this www.homedepot.com/p/GRK-Fasteners-8-x-2-1-2-in-Star-Drive-Trim-Finishing-Head-Screw-100-per-Pack-119730/203525326
You would also need to toenail the screws at an angle in step 4.
@@AnaWhiteDIY Thank you.
Even if you didn't toenail the screws to attach the back (Step 4), the screws would just go straight through, and stick out hidden from view under the top boards anyways?
giveee me thaaatt so cute
My goodness so great to see you. I have subscribed but my phone has stopped notifying me about nearly everything! I'm so glad I stumbled over your site.
"Nobody's gonna be sitting on it, nobody's gonna be jumping on it"
Your parties must be lame.
Excellent.Love the "Bulky" clean lines.Could probably rest a truck on four of those
What a talented young lady you are Ana👏👍❤️
Thank you!!
Hi Ana!! Amazing job!!! I love all of your builds!! I’m currently in the works of making the cal king bed frame. Almost done putting it together and then on to sanding and staining.
I’m debating if I should make these nightstands 5-10” higher because I’d love to put a shelf on the bottom for a basket to store all of my odds and ends. 🤔
Anyways, can’t wait to see what you come up with next!! If I could make a suggestion, floating nightstands with drawers would be so awesome!!😊
I can't find the actual drawn plans for this anywhere?????
One diy project I still have came from ana white.
They turned out beautiful. I’m starting my build today. 🥰thanks
Great video, thank you for sharing.
I’d like to find the plas

Muy bonito! Gracias por compartir!
Ana White is the best.
Thanks you
Thanks for the visit!
I enjoy watching and seeing your projects Ana. I would love to see a floating nightstand. Our bed has drawers under the bed and no room for a night stand, so would love to see one that can attach to the wall.
Now that is a good idea!
That's a great idea, but for anyone who rents, or for whatever reason doesn't want to put the holes in the wall for a floating nightstand, you could build this one and put it on casters. Then you could roll it out of the way to get to the drawer(s) on the end. It would still be a pain because of lamp cords and such, so you'd want to store things you don't need to get to very often there. Also, you might need to shorten the legs of the table to make up for the height of the casters.
Simple
Yes, thanks for the visit!
Nice!!!!
