That beautiful Ducktail rear fender completely changes the looks of your Scooter ! Has to make it 10 MPH faster aerodynamically . You have a good eye for what looks sharp . Some $69 drag pipes & a tune would sound even better . Be safe !
I'm so glad I found your video I have Screaming Eagles slip-ons too on my 883 Sportster I didn't know you could get the bathroom that sounds so good like how it sounds your bike can you please tell me do you have any information like model numbers for the baffles thank you😊
I used a hair dryer and fishing string. Used the hair dryer to heat around the old emblems then I doubled the string and ran it between the emblem and the tank very slowly. Then I removed any access goo with a warm cloth and soap and water. New emblems went on easy with the backing tape then have on them.
Sounds good. Are you going to try and get a little better performance putting on a stage 1 air cleaner and a remap? If not you have great sound and probably a lot of decal popping from the lean condition the bike is running at.
I am in London, vance and hines fitted and rejetted here is £1200, thats about $1800, well done, it sounds great, i will check out if i can buy baffles here
When I finaly chose my baffles. These would be the best choise for me pesonaly. It has not the intense whiplash sound, that only destroy your ears. This sound is a softer sound.
Hey man It sounds awesome. I don't really get it. So did you remove the baffles and put new one in or what? I can't remove mine unless I damage the slipons. Can you please answer in a short message its life and death (of my slip ons lol)
Just bought a 2006 Softail Deluxe with 5000 miles and the Screamin Eagle stage 4 Kit. It also had the baffles on it. The sound to me is horrible. Now I'm also the proud owner of another 2006 Softail Deluxe with 36,000 miles this one is carbureted and has Vance & Hines pipes. The Longshots to be exact. That bike sounds lean and mean and badass
Question for ya man - so these are NOT the Screamin Eagle II's? These are the SE's that are legal in 49 states? Your dealer was able to swap the baffles out? I have the newer (quieter) SE's on my 03' low rider and I'm looking to do the same thing!
There are many debates on whether you need to get it tuned or not. Some disagree with me paying more money to get it tuned but I honestly like paying for "peace of mind" knowing and at least hoping the dealership did everything correctly. In this case, I just added the slip on's so I didn't need to get a new breather and have the bike Dyno'd
only slightly, but mostly from the riders seating position. The people on the street will probably not notice anything. And it's mostly under hard acceleration that the rider hears anything in excess of stock.
My baffles are welded in place. Will I still be able to make this modification? I hear there are some screamin eagle models with torx screws holding them in place making the baffle replacement much easier...
I've got the same one's on my 04 custom. They have a great sound. Almost as deep of a roar as the 103 engine put out buy harley. You can only tell the diffrence if you see them coming.
Do you know if those baffles you got were Screaming Eagle baffles or some after market or off brand id like or better yet if you have the info where I can order them thanks
I'm confused that your dealer does not know. The baffles I got from the HD Dealer are Cycle Shack Baffles....sku #1861-0468. Cycle Shack is an aftermarket brand. They had a catalogue up there and purchased them out of there for me. They were only like $40 too! Let me know if this helps!!
When you put slip ons on your bike...you still need to have it tuned, slip ons or complete exhaust it changes the back pressure and your bike runs to lean if you run it like this it WILL dramatically shorten the life of your engine.
Zooksc1k: I feel like my bike runs more "rich" now. I do feel a little more power. I honestly love the way my bike runs now!! I do have some popping when decelerating but not too bad. If it pops I usually just pull in the clutch and it goes away. VERY PLEASED with the results!
Like this they are "street legal" ?? in Canada's a Hell to get a ride using SE mufflers, the police here has a device to measure the noise, if it's more than 80db, you must pay a fine 161,00.
Hi, I am using the same slip-ons but mine is black. I didn't replace the baffles, but I did modified it so the sound is similar with yours. BUT, the idle of fuel injections sound is not as nice as Carb, right... so I lowered the idle RPM from originally around 1250 RPM to 800 RPM... and it sound much better during idle. You can even shake your head following the engine rhythm :P I ride it everyday to work for more than a year already with this modifications and there's no problem at all so far. My mechanic suggested that with this low idle, is better to replace the headlight bulb with LED one because of its low electric consumption behavior, coz with low idle means the battery charge is not as much as the original one. But as long you ride it, the charging will be normal. Its not recommended to lower the idle under 800 RPM because it will disturb the battery charging system and the oil compression.
lower the rpm might not be a healthy way for your bike engine lubrication my friend cause oil need to travel through out engine even at idle. Maybe you need to rethink about this
Thanks for your input bro. Yes, understand about the oil compression. That's why my mechanic forbid me to change the idle lower than 800 because it will make oil compression issue. He said that 800 is still safe. Lets hope so. I really loved it because the engine is not as hot as before and the sound also nicer.
I did bro. At first, I just replace the headlamp bulb with 40 watt LED. The light from the bulb is very bright (kind of disturb the sight of the opposite incoming vehicles), yet the visual on the road is not good at all. So now I replaced it with Daymaker. If you have budget concern like me, you can choose daymaker made in China that you can buy on ebay or aliexpress. Very cheap but can compete with the original daymaker one. Very happy with the result.
im sure some people do.... if you want loud pipes get loud pipes... if your worried about getting pulled over keep it stock... I just ordered a set of rush slip ons for my sporty which are supposed to be pretty loud... could give a fuck less bout the cops tho
Sounds good really. I'm not one for straight through obnoxious noise. This had just enough bark and deep grumble to it to make it have a little authority. I cringe when I see a helmetless rider or with hardly any clothes, my neighbor and his girlfriend are recovering from 70mph road rash. A one week and 3 week hospital stay respectively..... I'd think twice...
Really nice Bike Brother.Looks good and sounds Perfect, not obnoxiously loud.👍
I've ALWAYS dug the 1200 Custom Sportsters! I wanted a 72 but now I'm either going 1200 Custom, 1200 SuperLow T or ... INDIAN SCOUT!!!
Scout bobber 🤤🤤🤤
Thanks for the post. Beautiful bike. Your bike has the perfect sound. Not to quiet and not to loud.
What baffles did you use? nice sound
What you did with the mufflers was a great choice , made it sound 👌🏼 👍🏼 kickass bro !
That beautiful Ducktail rear fender completely changes the looks of your Scooter ! Has to make it 10 MPH faster aerodynamically . You have a good eye for what looks sharp . Some $69 drag pipes & a tune would sound even better . Be safe !
Love the sound, like someone is thumping hard on my chest with cotton candy drumsticks. Thanks for posting.
Sounds real nice. You will feel the difference in the seat of your pants. Keep the shiny side up
Congratulation. This was realy a beutiful sound you found there. Maybe the best I ever heard.
Your Sportster sounds great, good advice on the baffles too. Thanks for posting the cycle shack part number. Dave from Oz.
I'm so glad I found your video I have Screaming Eagles slip-ons too on my 883 Sportster I didn't know you could get the bathroom that sounds so good like how it sounds your bike can you please tell me do you have any information like model numbers for the baffles thank you😊

I love it ! Man i dont think you need more sound 🔊
Looks good, sounds great!
I have Vance and Hines pipes on my sporti and I can set off car alarms with that bad boy ...nice bike man
Which pipes you have?
What did it run you installed
Same havent set off any alarms tho yet
What baffles did you get? Id like to grab some also?
I find it hard to believe that a bike can sound any better than that one does. Sounds great.
Did you notice any performance increase? More torque? Smoother throttle response?
Sounds good. Are you going to try and get a little better performance putting on a stage 1 air cleaner and a remap? If not you have great sound and probably a lot of decal popping from the lean condition the bike is running at.
Nice motorcycle bro, love the sound it has. I like mine loud.
I am in London, vance and hines fitted and rejetted here is £1200, thats about $1800, well done, it sounds great, i will check out if i can buy baffles here

i like that sound great mate ! big bass !
I got an '11 last summer....exactly what I'm looking for to upgrade mine. Thanks 5832. I'm in KY too....the Ville.
How did you get the stock baffles out of the Screaming Eagles? Seems that they are welded in place.
Nice looking Sporty!
(Sounds good!
Runs good!
Looks good!)
NICE SPORTSTER, AWESOME SOUND.
Hey man It sounds awesome. I don't really get it. So did you remove the baffles and put new one in or what? I can't remove mine unless I damage the slipons. Can you please answer in a short message its life and death (of my slip ons lol)
stupid question but. do I need tune? or nah cuz I know full exhaust you need to tune it but I don't got the money and just want a slip on
Just bought a 2006 Softail Deluxe with 5000 miles and the Screamin Eagle stage 4 Kit. It also had the baffles on it. The sound to me is horrible. Now I'm also the proud owner of another 2006 Softail Deluxe with 36,000 miles this one is carbureted and has Vance & Hines pipes. The Longshots to be exact. That bike sounds lean and mean and badass
You are correct. I bought the legal slip ons then replaced the baffles inside the slip ons.
Was that fishtail rear fender already on there. I have an 08 1200 custom and my bike doesn't have that.
Were did you get the rear fender from? I like that way better then the stock sporty one
Do you happen to know what baffles you used to replace
All this is about noise. Does performance improve?
Question for ya man - so these are NOT the Screamin Eagle II's? These are the SE's that are legal in 49 states? Your dealer was able to swap the baffles out?
I have the newer (quieter) SE's on my 03' low rider and I'm looking to do the same thing!
Beautiful sound & ride. Where did the rear fender come from? I like it
Where’d you get that front wheel?? Please....
what is the part number for these baffles? I've looked all over and can't seem to find them. Thanks
hey thank you for the video. i have the same bike. will do what you did, what is that rear fender called? where did u get that?
There are many debates on whether you need to get it tuned or not. Some disagree with me paying more money to get it tuned but I honestly like paying for "peace of mind" knowing and at least hoping the dealership did everything correctly. In this case, I just added the slip on's so I didn't need to get a new breather and have the bike Dyno'd
What kind of baffles did you get?
Sounds better than stock! Thanks.
only slightly, but mostly from the riders seating position. The people on the street will probably not notice anything. And it's mostly under hard acceleration that the rider hears anything in excess of stock.
sounds awesome beautiful
So I have a 2007 sportster 1200 custom. If I put slip ons on my bike an the baffles you speak of do I have to change the air intake or have it tuned?
No you do not need to change the air intake or have it tuned
Where did you get those baffles? My Harley dealer doesn't carry them
never mind, I went with Vance and Hines straight shot slip-ons. Believe me, they are plenty loud.
My baffles are welded in place. Will I still be able to make this modification? I hear there are some screamin eagle models with torx screws holding them in place making the baffle replacement much easier...
Do you have the part number for your baffles?
Hey man, i just bought a used Roadglide with screamin Eagle pipes installed and will try calling my HD dealer and ordering new baffles
nice bike man !
Hey friend,,,why do i think screaming eagle exhausts have a better sound than v n hines twin slash exhaust? Anyone else has the same opinion?
fuck no lol
I agree with you.
late post - can you tell me what baffles you got ?
sweetness, beautiful sound
What baffle did you install in these?
Love the rear fender . Is it a factory piece or aftermarket ?
Thanks! Ordered it straight from HD through my local dealer
@@matthewdilorenzo6070 do you remember any of the detail$$
possibly part number. My local dealer wants to sell me Chinese food.
It's the HD bobbed rear fender. You can find it in their catalogue.
Can you please tell me what model Screamin Eagle pipes and baffles you purchased? I'll call HD and get them in now!!! thanks
You don't have to do a chip open grade to put the VH slip ons on your bike, Just saying. Mine runs great.
I've got the same one's on my 04 custom. They have a great sound. Almost as deep of a roar as the 103 engine put out buy harley. You can only tell the diffrence if you see them coming.
Very nice!!
I just bought the Seventy-Two could I just change out the baffles on the stock pipes?
Do you know if those baffles you got were Screaming Eagle baffles or some after market or off brand id like or better yet if you have the info where I can order them
thanks
my local dealer has no knowledge of these baffles - I like the sound way better than mine with no baffles - anyone know where I can get these baffles?
a low profile solo seat would suit you better. it would put you back more...but i do like the bike! i have a tricked out 1200 custom xl
Nice ride! I like the ducktail rear fender in particular. Is that an original Harley-Davidson item? Enjoy your bike!
Ducktail its from a wide glide
How do you like this motorcycle
What year is this harley what make is it
Cool Bike…Thanks for sharing….
can you tell me about the new baffles you put now
Sweet Bike! Sounds Good!
Thank you. You just saved me some BUX!!
Nice bike Sir
Now I have been trying to figure out, does air intakes make the bike louder? Like the st
The seat.... gave me some cool ass ideas for a next bike!
How did you remove your tank emblems and how did apply the new ones? Thanks
New drinking game. Take a shot every time he says uhh
Sounds good.
where did you get your rear fender?
Where you get a gas tank belt ,
I think Short shots sounds little better and louder, but they cost more.
Do you lose the catalyst with the baffle change?
I think it sounds great.
When you put slip ons on your bike...you still need to have it tuned, slip ons or complete exhaust it changes the back pressure and your bike runs to lean if you run it like this it WILL dramatically shorten the life of your engine.
love your bike
Nice, I think I'm sold on these pipes for my 07!
Hey dude nice ride.

Nice, very informative!
Direct from HD. I saw it in the HD catalogue
Are you speaking of the fender ?
Thanks man.
