At one time there was a geocache here. It’s what led me here the first time. It’s always been of interest, and I’ve known about the birthday gathering for a few years now, but never had an opportunity to attend.

Looked like some great weather! How many Abraham Lincoln’s were there?

I’ve cancelled my trips out there in the past because of the awful weather. It was just drizzling and cold, so better weather than most years.
At least two, but none that were vertical.

I had no idea there were Lincolns in Virginia.

I did not know either until a geocache brought me to the spot. It was really surprising to see the grave of Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary in Virginia!

So can you go visit the cemetery anytime?

Pretty sure you can. The house, however, is privately owned. They occasionally give tours. The first time I came out it was sitting there empty and for sale. I thought wow, it’d be amazing to buy that place and fix it up. When Harper and I toured it, I quickly realized that would have been biting off more than we could chew.
