Thank you so much for sharing this important information about pipeline, do the parameter rules also apply if I'm using fields parameters? It just that I have a report with fields parameters but in the prod stage it is not working the pipeline, why do you think that is happening? I'd really appreciate if you could help me with this issue I'm having :)
if you are deploying a new report, will you use the existing pipeline or you can create a new pipeline. I created a new separate pipeline but I was not able to access any workspace to it because the old pipepline was assigned to the existing workspace. hence I had to use the existing pipeline and I had to re-published already existing report and the new report together to the app
Very easy to follow guide. Thanks. Is there a way to use csv files from Azure Data Lake in Deployment pipeline. I could not create a working connection in Deployment pipeline while data is coming from Data Lake.
Hi there, great question! I don't think Deployment Pipelines support versioning, so the best thing in this case would be to version your reports separately in GitHub or OneDrive
Hey Chris, usually that's because you're not the owner of the Power BI item OR there is an issue with it (here's the doc I found I hope will help you: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/deployment-pipelines-create-rules)
Hi Fernan, how the gateways are used for dev and test.. Test will have different gateway or same which is used for dev? Or both gateways do we need to use?
Hi Fernan, Kamusta ka ? Great demo BTW. Is it possible to have only two stages or more than 3 stages ? like dev and prod For two stages , I believe for now workaround can be to configure test stage same as dev stage if it is restricted to 3 stages only. But not sure about if there more than 3 stages possibility. for example workspace for each region head. And can this be used in power automate ?
Hi Harsim! You can have just two stages, either DEV and TEST or vice versa. So you'd publish your reports on the DEV then publish your changes up to TEST which will technically be PROD. Remember the pipelines are just a deployment concept for you to segregate your dev and prod work. I don't think there is a possibility of using 3 stages though, if you need this I think you'll need to use the ALM toolkit which I will cover in a video very soon
You are one of my favorites Power Bi developer. Kudos
Thanks Fernan. Was waiting for this
Thanks for watching!
This is an excellent tutorial. Thank you.
amazing! thank you
Great demo.
Great Video - thanks
Thank you so much, great video! :) 🌹
Great explanation!

Very helpful, thanks!
Thanks man!
Do my testers need to have Premium per User to do their testing? Better question, what can Pro users do with my Premium workspace?

Hi, Can we automate this deployment pipelines?
Very easy to follow guide. Thanks. Is there a way to use csv files from Azure Data Lake in Deployment pipeline. I could not create a working connection in Deployment pipeline while data is coming from Data Lake.
Hi Fernan,
If Possible, Try to make an idea about Performance Tuning
Great idea, thanks for that idea!
Any idea why the gateway connection is greyed out after pipeline deployment?
Hi Fernan,
Does deployment pipelines help in version controls ? can we roll back to the previous versions?

Any idea why the "Data Source Rules" option is greyed out when using a Power BI Dataflow as my data source?

I too have the same question. Also do the deployment pipeline support dataset scheduled refresh ?

@@SolutionsAbroad Can we reduce it to only 2 stages, DEV and PRD?
There is no navigation option?
Great video. Thank you!
