I believe somewhere in toussaint you can get to the Fantasy/Dream world also there is an easteregg with a real life picture of the devs. Would be cool if you check those out

Yep I've seen this before. You have to travel an insane distance out of the world borders but can eventually get to it. They probably thought nobody would ever find it.

Beyond the playable map in any open world game, there usually is nothing really there. And as you noticed, the "maps" behind the map are quite unstable. The regions beyong the playable map only serve the purpose of creating a "endless" world, they're used as a horizon view from within the playable map. Nothing more.

Out of boundary in Toussaint You can actually reach the fairy tale land. Or climb Mount Gorgon (up there Geralt can find his creators, by the way). When You get out of boundary in Velen, just at the south eastern end, You can find O´Dimm´s realm.

someone should just do the mod to just expand map by moving devil border some distance away from vanilla game and just do collisions and texture low textured places with textures used in game make herbs spawn and do some kind of gryphite and other creatures lairs from lairs that are in game
