In 2015, a senior level designer, Péter Gelencsér was on a podcast and when he was asked to give a secret to the audience, he revealed there is an island he worked on in skellige, that if you look upon when the sun is at its highest, the shadow cast by it points to the location with a secret chest. Im pretty sure it was this chest. He also said thats why the fortress is called kaer Gelen, because he created it and named it after himself :D
You need to play it slowly and carefully.. And don't just use the road as the direction to the destination.. Must use the forest or the hill as well.. If it's hard to climb, long press the jump button.. All high hills can be reached
In my opinion, looking for treasures using such indirect instructions is much more interesting than stupidly catching another chest that has already been marked with a question on the map in advance. The developers first need to come up with such a problem. And, unfortunately, it won’t work the second time - there will be too obvious a tautology in the gameplay.
They need to make items more interesting, because unfortunately witcher gear is better than all secret chests. Hope they find a solution in the witcher 4
Although I agree, Witcher 3 deceives you in that you almost think that a question mark being cleared is all there is to that location when in fact there’s nooks and crannies of stuff littered throughout the game like this

whenever I see something related to The Witcher 3 ı get emotional. he time spent in the game the characters, the story I've played so many big-budget games in my life like Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last of Us Part 2 but no game has left a lasting impact on me like The Witcher 3 I can't think of any game that could fill the place this game and its music have permanently marked in my heart
BG3 is pretty phenomenal, Elden Ring as well, all very different games but that's what's fantastic about gaming. Don't own a switch (because the joycons are for ants) but I hear tears of the kingdom is great as well; love the witcher 3, played it three times through including DLC but there are equally great games out there just waiting to be played.

I replayed this game so many times. The only game that I have replayed for 4 times and counting. The attention to detail, atmosphere...amazing. Also, the music is absolutely superb. Lots of game ignore the importance of music for the game atmosphere and immersive experience.

Another secret i found is in on the north east mountain of the bigger island of Skellige. From a empty (and high probably, not calculated zone to walk, for how poor refined was compared to the rest of the game), i could see from top a draw in the valley, made with the grass. It was like primitive draw. I get down to search there, but I don't found anything:(

This game had for me the same problem as skyrim. I literally went out and around the world and there was always something interesting. Dozens of hours later I was looking for where the hell the main quest was. And this is a characteristic of a great game.

Watching him run through the forest near the end was fun because irl, you'd be covered in ticks if you went off the path like that lol. It would be funny if there was a game that added something like that as a joke.
If I ever find out that there's a treasure in some place, I'm going to make sure I don't write down its location, leave it in a voice log, or othewise record it in some way where it can be found next to my skeleton. Way too dangerous.

then that only means who didn't explore much. this is an old treasure location and one of the easiest to find. because its so obvious.
I reached that place but never knew a treasure was involved... I was just like "huh rocks look interesting...moving on..."

You can fall from pretty high. Just make sure to hit the jump button 2nd time to roll

It's a +100 hour story... which has several story threads, and many endings. You'll be suprise on how nice it is to play a 2nd time
