And I just made it to the end. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to watch/prep/review/share. Given the 2 of you are so darned busy, it's great to see you still finding time to paint. Brian's mini's were cool, and loved the "Santa". My fave for this ep. was Jason's Alien buildup though - I love the sculpt (inspired by a Sideshow prepaint) and the paintwork was awesome. Great work by both of you.
I thought *_"No One Will Save You"_* was OK - I enjoyed it for the most part, but I was a little disappointed with the ending. I won't watch it again, but it WAS worth the single watch. As regards Brian's choice for next round - *_"No Hard Feelings"_* - I watched that and laughed my ass off at various points. Thoroughly enjoyable (and *YES* - that is *HER* "for real" in *THAT* scene!) Hope you both enjoy it.

Take it from someone who use to work in a theatre. Never go to a new movie when it is in it's first 2-3 weeks of release. Wait until the movie revenues have fallen off to the point where it is about to be dropped by the theatre. Before COVID, movies that did well in 1st run go onto dollar theatres. Now movies when they are dropped from theatres go onto either 4k/Blu-ray or streaming.

If you don't mind subtitles try some older movies which are two of my favorites, City of Lost Children and Delicatessen directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. I too love odd and quirky movies.

Jason your rant is not a ridiculous one, I feel the same way. I have not been to a movie theater since 2009 because of idiots in the theater.

Have to find that sweet spot when no one is there. I also don’t want to go there and see students. Why I go on Saturday afternoon. Sundays work too.

First of all, the best Kong is the Skull Island Kong! Don't care what Scott or anyone else says. The only Kong I want to see is the Legendary one.
The reason clear stuff is more fragile is the alignment of molecules. In order for things to be clear, molecules need to be lined up in straight lines instead of connected in multiple directions. With that alignment, you lose a lot of strength.
Godzilla -1. I want to see it. But I am not driving 40 minutes to Erie PA to see a movie. Especially during xmas shopping season. Besides that, from what I know of the movie, it isn't gonna be worth it for me. I want my Godzilla dubbed. I know that is a whole discussion in itself. There are many that swear by watching all of them in the original Japanese. But that isn't for me. I grew up and spent my life watching dubs. Godzilla dubs. Ultraman dubs. Johnny Sokko dubs. Anime dubs. Those cheap Saturday afternoon karate movies dubbed. Subs have their place, but not in action movies. I like my Godzilla fighting other kaiju. I mean, the original is fine. It's a great movie (which I still prefer the one with Raymond Burr). I don't care for 1985. Shin is meh.
And the worst one of all time is the Tri-Star one with GINO.
My favorite G movie is probably Godzilla vs Megalon. It has it all. Godzilla, Jet Jaguar, Gigan, and Megalon. Second favorite has to be Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla. It has G, Mecha G, King Caesar and the aliens turn into monkey-men when they die. Give me goofy 70's Godzilla all day long.
And I am with Brian. If you want to go to the movies, Saturday matinee is the way to do it. Cheaper, less crowded, and the people there, are there to watch the movie.
    Deadwood was amazing!

OK, here is my take on Godzilla minus one. The original Godzilla(Gijora, not Raymond Burr) is and will be number 1 for me. Nothing will change that and I am adamant with that as Scott is with the original King Kong. I rate original G as a 10 and Godzilla minus one a 9.5. It is my favorite movie of the year and I've seen quite a few. Interesting enough I have never seen Shin Godzilla until Jason mentioned it as his favorite Godzilla flick. I was able to see Shin a few days ago and my impression of it is Meh. The best part of Shin is his atomic breath or what ever he was spouting out and his atomic ray coming out of his back and tail. Pretty neat. What I didn't like was Reptilicus Godzilla and statue Godzilla. I though the movie was slow plodding with too much dialog between people I had no interest weather they lived or died. Also the first half of the movie the musical score was something out of a cool jazz dinner playhouse. I actually went a second time to see Godzilla and thought it was better than the first showing. lol. I think the last time I saw a movie more than once in a week was Goldfinger(saw it 5 times in one week). Anyway, just my thoughts and I won't give any spoilers, just go see it. Jason, I think you are going to the wrong theaters, I went last week and I was the only one in the place, had my choice of any seats I wanted. Today, I went with my Brother and there were 5 at the showing including us.

27:00 in so far - Jase - Bro - I am with you 100%. Human beings generally SUCK, and they turn the dial up to eleven when at Cinemas.
The last film I saw at the theatre was *_"The Predator"_* back in 2018, and the one before THAT was *_"Civil War"_* in 2016 (so you get the idea!)
The combination of almost 100% crappy movies nowadays, + *_"slobs & yobs"_* in the audience has meant I will *_NEVER_* set foot in a cinema *_EVER_* again.
BTW - only 2 "near misses" as regards fights at cinemas? - you're just an amateur - I'm in the teens by now 🤣😇

I agree with you on the theater experience....I've been to 4 movies since 1991...T2, death race 2000, infinity war, and most recent....Five nights at Freddy's ....the amount it costs to go to a movie, get popcorn and a drink....and then too have inconsiderate people talking, taking pics of the screen, etc....ruine the experience....I'm with you, Id rather watch at home...people as a whole suck.

I don't think location for a good movie experiance matters. It's this generation and the crap that gave birth to it! They forgot what respect is. I'm like you I love the big screen but everything around it just sucks! Save your money and get a big ass TV, a good sound system and a good popcorn maker and you are good to go!
No one will save you I think was great! Your next choice is the type of movie I would usually not pick but I was suprised and enjoyed it. Seen Thanksgiving with my son and I also fell asleep! What the hell is wrong with Hollywood!!!
