I'm able to avoid cakiness by using a fluffy brush & bouncing it lightly - almost dusting it on. This way I get the thinnest layers & I touch up the same way if needed. I'm very dry, but my skin is "juicy" - I let my skincare soak in. No cakiness 😊. Thanks for this comparison!
I just bought the new one yesterday with the VIB sale at Sephora. I also have the same shade, 1N10 and it's a perfect match. I don't have the old one for comparison, but this one is lovely. I used it lightly today over the Ulta serum foundation, and it applied beautifully. Tomorrow I'll try it without any foundation and see how it will wear.
I actually just picked up that lipstick the other day but in mulberry bliss and it really is super comfortable! I’m really picky about how lipstick feels on and it’s basically like a lip balm in texture. So nice.
When you’re comparing it to drugstore yes it’s pricey but drugstore is not that cheap anymore and for a higher quality product that will last a long time then it’s an investment …you’d buy 2 or 3 powders to one of these for sure but is their performance up to par ? I don’t have many drugstore products anymore cuz I always end up throwing them away … waste of money . I’d rather invest in something I’ll use .

You have to consider that you are comparing a brand new product to a older one… After time the powder will change, it will get dryer ( just like eyeshadows ) and sometimes the pigmentation weakens as the powder dries. A fair comparison would be between two brand new products - I know that it’s not possible…

I like the new formulation better. It is lovely on you. Love the L’Oréal lip color ,too. Will check both out.
