So happy to see a powder foundation video. I’ve used MAC Studio Fix powder for the last 10+years. I get compliments when I’m out on my makeup. It looks flawless and lasts all day without touch ups. It is also such a good value as a compact lasts and lasts! I put it on with a primer and use the MAC Stay Over setting spray. I have normal-dry skin. I’m 77years old. I worked in cosmetics until I was 73 and still wear full makeup every day. Love MAC products.

I have very dry skin, so would never opt for powder foundation, except for a recent trip to Greece and Turkey, where I anticipated (and got) very hot weather and was trying to pack as lightly as possible. Tried the L'Oreal Infallible powder foundation on the advice of my sister. Could not have worked better!! Stayed put ALL day long. Beautiful coverage. Took the place of my normal liquid foundation, concealer, setting powder, and accompanying brushes.

The timeliness of this video for me is astounding. I just finished watching you powder foundation videos from six years ago and just ordered the MAC powder foundation. Also, the technique you taught for applying foundation has proven to be a major game changer for me. I tried it yesterday with the Fenty foundation and was blown away by how much better it looked on my skin than how I had been applying it. My husband agreed, telling me I didn't look like I was wearing any foundation at all, so another BIG thank you for helping me out so much.

I’ve tried bare minerals and the Natasha Denona powder foundations and both are fantastic. I find the bare minerals to be more full coverage while the ND is more medium but is still buildable. Both leave me with a beautiful, glowing skin like finish that I haven’t found with liquid foundations. I feel ND has a slight edge because it travels well and isn’t as messy to store and apply as bare minerals. But with that said, I love them both.

PUR powder foundation is hands down the best. I wish that all the reviews of powder foundations recently would include PUR's. I think everyone would be impressed at how much of a contender it is. Creamy, non-greasy, long-lasting, great shades (for my skin anyway, light neutral...they used to have 100 shades but I believe that has been cut back by now). I've been using it for over 5 years, tried all the others, none have even compared, for me. Thanks for bringing back the idea of powder foundation....and please do try PUR just to see where it would hold up against what you've already tried. Would be so interested to know what you think! :)

My ride or die is Laura Geller's Baked Balance & Brighten marbled powder foundation. I've been using her products well over 15 years now. I wear it over a water-resistant tinted mineral SPF 50 & those together give me close to medium coverage, & that helps control the perspiration too. You see, I need her flexability with the color and touch-ups are a dream. I also use & enjoy her baked bronzer, baked blush, marbled lipsticks, eyeliners, etc! I guess you could call me a devotee of hers!😅 I really hope some of your subscribers/viewers try her baked marbled powder products. I'll bet they're going to be pleasantly surprised.😊

I used Guerlain powder foundation for years very successfully but when I got into my early 60s ( I’m 64 now, dry sensitive skin) even if I prepped my skin exactly as I always did when I wore this foundation, it started to show the pores on my nose and chin BIG TIME. I was devastated. I loved using this. Any idea what I can do to make it work again? And why did it stop working? Getting so frustrated about it. Thank you. I love your reviews. So glad I finally subscribed!

You tried blurring Primers? And blurring finishing powders also after the foundation ?

the fenty foundation has kaolin in it which makes sense about the better oil control compared to the others. My favourite is actually the Makeup forever powder foundation, I have dry skin and always use this without any issue, it has great coverage too

I LOVED the original MUFE so much! It was in my last top powder foundations video. But they changed the formula and I didn't like the new version. I reviewed it in one of my roundups. I miss the old creamy version 😔

It's definitely a bit dryer/cakier? Plus the shade range is attrocious. 1N00 then a jump to 1N06. Really? I need a 1N01. I tried 1RN2 and it's porky pig pink and I can't bother w/yellow (which is good for my redness) because that starts at 4. I thought it was just Australia getting half the shades like usual but no. Their US website is the same. They think that's acceptable in 2024. Warm comes in at level 4 and there's 5 shades missing in neutral. Yay. Of course deep skintones are just "bye, sorry".

I recently discovered Laura Geller powder foundation and can’t tell you how many time other women compliment me on my skin when I wear it. I do live in a non-humid climate which is probably key when choosing a foundation.

@2CorgiMom I love Laura Geller foundation. The baked blushes and highlighters are very nice too. My other favorite is Clinique Superpowder Double Face foundation. I have normal to drier skin in winter.

I appreciate this review as I alternate between liquid and powder foundations at 55! I did discover Lancôme Dual Finish powder foundation a few years ago and it has performed very well on my combo skin - I’m also in a super hot, humid area in Memphis, so I feel your heat and humidity pain! 😂

i love the L'oreal one, it's perfection! the powder is like silk! i use it now and also the Maybelline super stay, but i think the Maybelline is not as good. i also love the Mac one, but with my combination skin i find that it gets too shiny during the hot summer months. i also love the Kiko powder foundation for winter. i tried the essence one too, but i couldn't see if it's doing anything for me. maybe because the shade was too light and they have a very poor shade range in general.

Your recommendations have helped me greatly and I thank you. The pores on my nose and cheek areas are visible no matter what type foundation I use including Laura Geller Baked Balance and Brighten, ELF Soft Glam Satin Foundation and About Face The Performer. I like these foundations a lot and would appreciate finding products to blur large pores. I have tried primers that claim to erase pores under foundations but have had no luck. Can you help ? PLEASE Thanks for all you do

Perfect timing. With the hot weather, my everyday routine is skincare , tinted Sunscreen and a dusting of powder foundation . But im needing a soft matte formula for my 55yo combo oily skin and a brand that matches my dark tan skin. Sounds like Fenty will work for me. Would you still recommend Wander powder foundation?

I was going to but saw it was removed from retailers. I thought it was discontinued and then saw on their website it's been repackaged. It says it's the same formula, but these days you never know!

As another viewer mentioned, the timeliness of this video was spot on. Recommend that you do an annual powder foundation roundup this time of year….it’s hot. Foundation melts right off. As your neighbor (uptown), I often rely on your input due to our shared climate. Would be interested in your thoughts on the Chantecaille powder foundation. I know it’s pricey :/ They have testers at Blue Mercury on Magazine

I never had problems with the pores around my nose and chin but as I get older I’m having problems. I have mostly dry skin with a little oily area around the nose. What primer would you recommend to help blur pores with powder foundation? Thank you.

Love Laura Geller, but the shades just don't work for me - too peachy. After watching your video, I took the plunge and bought the Fenty Powder in 130. I'm one of those fair olives. It's the best color match of my life, and the finish is soft and beautiful. Thanks for the tip!

Are any of the similar to the Giorgio Armani luminous silk powder foundation. It was my favorite. I also have oily skin and some slight dry patches in winter. I tried fenty, but not as high a coverage, not as creamy, looks more powdery in comparison.
