Hi Danielle would you please react to Misty Mountain Cold Geoff 's newest release he does all parts himself . This song and video is amazing it gave me the shivers and was teary eyed by the end I have never had a song effect me that way in a long time.
Danielle, you definitely need to check out Voiceplay's cover of My Mother Told Me. You are going to have a BLAST reacting to it!
4:33 I love how Geoff announces the 'secret' to J.None's key-shifting. "Majorize!" Then J.None changes up his solo from a minor key to a major key. Then Geoff's "Bring it back," and it's in the minor key again. Very clever, not only doing it, but announcing it!
I would definitely recommend checking out some of Geoff Castellucci's solo covers 😊

Yes!, and "Blackbird", (Beatles cover).
Geoff is the feature voice in Voice Play's song "Oogie Boogie Man" It shows a lot of his vocal range.
Yeah I second all these suggestions also Geoff recites some poems on his channel may favourite so far is the Raven by Edgar Allan Poe.
But so many of Geoff covers are great if you're a Bass fan.
But just voice play in general is awesome!

You should definitely listen to Voiceplay's "My Mother Told Me." Geoff (pronounced like 'Jeff') does some insane low notes using subharmonics, and it will give you chills! I would love to see you do a video of this song!!! #subscriptionsquad

"My Mother Told Me" then "We're Good" then finish with "Man in the Mirror". You will see three completely different sides of the group, and each song is awesome in different ways. The group is so creative, there are always surprises in store for you!
Deejay Young is featured in their latest release “Butter” as well, it’s so good!! He’s been featured in four of their songs this year and I’m hoping so much that he’ll be a full time VoicePlay member!
Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci is the bass but can sing tenor, Eli (pronounced ellie) Jacobson is the tenor but with a wide range down to bass. J,None is baritone but also with a wide range. He has now left to sing for the navy. DeeJay is a guest artist here with a phenomenal voice, see him also with them on Man in The Mirror, and You're My Best Friend.

Eli's name is pronounced Ellie and Geoff's name is pronounced Jeff.
It is one of those simple mistakes that is understandable but when you are a fan of the group it is very noticeable ... lol

Also, in the UK "Geoff" is pronounced like "Off" with a G in front of it.

DeeJay Young is a local musician that we here in Florida have been keeping a secret for years... just like Voiceplay themselves.
Voiceplay has had a fluid membership over the last few years (Layne, Eli, and Geoff are the constants). Tony Wakim left and was replaced by J None. Earl Elkins left and they were looking for a replacement for him but hadn't found one before J None left the group to join the Navy.
This video (as well as "You're My Best Friend" and "Man in the Mirror") is effectively DeeJay Young auditioning for a permanent place in the group. Their recent videos featuring Adriana Arellano, Omar Cardona, and Cesar de la Rosa have also basically been audition videos of one sort or another. They're still looking to fill the holes in their lineup.
"Hoist The Colors" by Voice Play is an outstanding track! The production is on another level.
If you want to hear some awesome riffs from Voice Play then please do a reaction video of their version of Tennessee Whiskey. The riffs they do at the end all together in perfect harmony is amazing. Eli, J None & Geoff each do a riff in this song.

Hi Danielle, you should react to Geoff's solo work, especially his cover of "Sixteen Tons"
I think it's more a case of they adapt so well to another singer rather than picking singers that work well with them. Some of the singers I have seen Voiceplay sing beside, you would think they couldn't ever work, but Voiceplay seems to change their style slightly to adapt and it just works. I would never have believed that Rachel Potter would work so well with Voiceplay, her voice is too different, but they made it work so well in the Moana Medley by adapting to her voice instead of making her adapt to them.
I think that they are so tight and when they create a piece they specifically select the guest to fit the piece and work with that guest.

Check out Warriors and True Colors. Lots of good stuff, but these are different and give a sense of their range. OH... then watch Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare before Christmas ( Danielle Marie has a reaction, too) to see how crazed they get when they decide to play AND sing for you. They don't hold back. Top notch. Then check out Geoff Castellucci (their bass) in his cover of 16 Tons.

The Phantom of the Opera of Voicplay with Rachel Potter is also insane.
Next to watch would be Kiss, Butter, Phantom of the Opera. If you haven’t checked out Home Free you should! Their rendition of Folsom Prison and man of constant sorrow are unbelievable. Such a fan of your videos!
I highly recommend the Hercules Muses Medley from Michael Korte. Those boys need way more recognition!

You should listen to Geoff's new solo Over the misty mountains cold (from the Hobbit) and then compare to the Peter Hollens with Tim Foust version. Tim is the bass in Home Free which is another amazing Acapella group.

Many of VP seem to be from another planet with their vocal abilities. And, they seem to feature a fifth artist to compliment the group for that particular song. DJ Young was or still is touring with Hamilton. He, just like J-None, fills in when needed and available. Laine hinted that they (VP) like the idea of the possibility of featuring some other talent instead of having a steady five-some. It sure gives them more latitude throughout every genre of music. And, of course, Geoff on his own is phenomenal.
Voiceplay will have new video out on RUclips sometime this week featuring Omar Cardona. The song is "Dream On" - Aerosmith. Great job and they all sound and look amazing (Geoff 🥴🤪🥰).

HOME FREE is a county A Capella band (the only one) , that does more than country. PLEASE listen to HOME FREE - MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW or anything else that suits you. to start your journey. They have a big fan base called Home Fries. These guys have a comedic aspect to some of their songs

I highly recommend one of the other big acapella groups, Home Free. Their harmonies are honestly the best you will find around. "Man of Constant Sorrow" is the classic first song to listen to

Would love to see you react to her. She's extraordinary and I think you'll enjoy watching and reacting to her like the other vocal coaches or vocalists. She is now really starting to blow up and be recognized. Her rich deep lower timbre and silky higher upper register is fantastic.
Check out her stripped concert performances and stripped versions of her songs. My recommendations are her most popular songs; Tears of Gold, You dont even know me, How it all works out, Minefields ft John legend, Elon and This Mountain. My first time ever hearing her gave me goosebumps when I clicked and watched her live concert performance of "You don't even know me." I've been a fan ever since.

I prefer their female guests over Deejay Young, like Rachel Potter or Adriana Arellano. The reason is, that Deejay just filled the role of J.None. Don't get me wrong, he really did a great job singing, but he was just stealing J.None the spotlight sounding so similar. But adding a sorpano into this mix opens up their variety so much that it seems like a waste not utilizing this.
