Not a green screen, but a printed backdrop with plants in the forefront. They do everything themselves, including getting on a ladder to hang that backdrop! Ashley's outfit was rented (?) and they sent two sizes to make sure they would fit. That's how Geoff had the same shorts and blouse that she had. I just knew you'd love it. Everybody was great Ashley Diane making another appearance rocked this part IMO. But as always they gave the exact right parts to each person. And that moment where Geoff takes over her solo & her outfit... priceless! Layne... crushing it in this one. I could just go on and on about all of them!

Having listened to this video and your reaction dozens of times in total, I'm convinced that the extra "S" you heard from Ashley on "mischievous" was actually one of Layne's cymbal noises happening at just the right time to sort of blend into her inflection. Also, I can't get over your face when Geoff drops that G1! 😂

No. Layne used a picture and editing software to make it look like a painting. (The same software that he used in Pattycake Productions latest video, Villians.). It was then printed onto vinyl and hung as a backdrop. Layne told us this during the live feed from the shoot as he was letting us see the set. As far as I know, the only time they used Unreal Engine was when Eli made the backgrounds for My Mother Told Me during the pandemic when they each had to film separately.
Caesar would make a perfect live action version of Felix. One other thing I'm not sure you noticed was Layne and Caesar's facial expressions during Geoff's costume change. They are hilarious.

Geoff is portraying Camilo the Shapeshifter and his costume change is because he is stealing Ashley‘s line and channeling Isabella for the second half of that section. They filmed it a double speed and then slowed it down because otherwise the petals kind of fell to the ground but it really paid off because of his hair flip and the gently wafting hand in the breeze.
Ashley sings "mischievous" (three-syllable pronunciation, favored e.g. in the Received Pronunciation, /MISS-chiv-uss/; I don't know if that's how she would normally pronounce the word, or if she's copying the original, which also pronounces it the same way). The extra "s" you're hearing is from one of the other singers, singing a syncopated part. If I were to sing it in my Midwest speech pattern, my instinct would be to skip the short pause after "in", allowing the stressed syllable in "mischievous" to fall in the same place: Original: Bruno walks in with a miss chiv uss grin Midwest: Bruno walks in with a miss CHEEV ee uss grin
Geoff's costume change fits into the Encanto plot, because in the original, his earlier part "7 foot frame, rats along his back" isn't really Bruno singing, it's Camilo the shape-shifter looking like Bruno, what Geoff is wearing in most of the video. Then when Ashley sings Isabela's part with the lighting change and petals, Geoff (as Camilo?) finishes the Isabela part in her costume. Oh, and plus, it's hilarious! :)

The vocalist who sings in my husbands band has taught me a few things about singing jazz. For example, sliding notes is one thing. You see, to a non singer these things are something one would not know about unless they choose to learn, and I love learning even if I can not sing myself.
I have not sung in many decades. When I was in high school (hint: the President was bald) we had a doowop quartet. The baritone and tenor were pretty good, the alto was passable. Me? The only reason they made me the bass was that I was the only one around who could reach those notes. Knowing how is nice. Doing is another matter

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but in the ending, Layne is apparently doing something that he calls “inhale singing.” So that last line he does is with his breath first going in, then out, then in again. (If you’re like me you’ll now go back and listen to that 10 more time to figure out how the he!! he does that?! I still don’t know.)
You must watch If I Were a Rich Man/Girl. Ashley Diane really is amazing, she sings with a vocal jazz quartet called Resolve. Her performances with the guys,however, are epic! I love her text painting (I think that is the right term) coming up to the end she sings a bit of Delores' part and her descending run on "Falling SAND" hits me in the gut.

Ashley Diane is a good friend of Cesar - born born in Puerto Rico. Yes Geoff was also wearing the same pink shorts. He is playing the shape shifter in the film. Layne's idea but Geoff makes a great Disney Princess. And yes Cesar is gay so the words about the man of his dreams were approppriate.
His C2 sounds like a C1 because his voice is kind of gnarly and have lots of overtones, then our brains might construct the C1 from those overtones. Also the C2 ticks in his voice might be the edges of a C1 square wave. Maybe the same thing really.
