Courtney and Sawyer have been together for over six years and have talked about van life since the beginning. After graduating college, they saved funds and dove into their life on the road! Their tiny home on wheels is a 2003 Isuzu NPR named Elfie.
This unique rig used mostly recycled material within the design. From a salvaged BMW battery to grandmas wood repurposed into furniture! They installed a lift bed, a functional kitchen, and large windows in the living space. Courtney and Sawyer even built a kitty condo for their fur baby, Mew Mew. The mural on the side sets them apart from other box trucks, along with the front porch at the back door! A beautiful design and a lovely tiny home on wheels.

This is really the first box van conversion I could see myself living in. The layout of the living room and kitchen are so smart. You can tell these 2 are extremely creative. Great build, I love it!!!

This build will go down as one of my favorites for many reasons. First, it crushes the sprinter van cookie cutter builds that are just claustophopic and redicliously expensive. Your build screams comfort and practicality. I love refurbishing things and you have incorporated those items perfectly. It also shouts creativity. Every nook was carefully considered. The bed lift was ingenious. The cat nook was brilliant. It didn't matter the size; you just made it a real home. You must of had a lot of fun contructing it. I can imagine the cat overseeing all your hard work. You both have such warm personalities so seeing the end result was beautiful. Well done.
Isuzu N Series is the most underrated truck. Secret is out now I guess.

I really like how you show how the bed lift can be inexpensive and achievable. And the corner storage is a really insightful idea.

I found and bought a box truck $3,700 and building a pad and put it beside my garage.
I was going to put shelving and used as a storage container on wheels for my Electrical left over stock materials.
9 feet high about 20 feet long Ford E-450 run great and but my daughter was telling me about van life people. Maybe and I’m thinking about turning into a small house. I think it will be fun . Great Ideas. Great video.

What an amazingly well designed home on wheels. If I had to make any criticism, it would be that that the stove should be where there sink is. I say this because in the 90's I had a Bedford Ambulance converted into a camper and the stove was where it is in this set up. The problem for me was the smell of the cooking went up into the bed and made it smell. I had a bed platform as opposed to a lift. Happy days......

Your home is lovely. I’m just 69 only just lol. I’d live in a tiny house tomorrow but yet to convince my husband. I don’t like what everyone else has and I find tiny homes so individual. Yours is so well designed and I like you have re- used wood etc. Happy travelling. I know envy isn’t a good trait but I’m envious. 😊😊😊

I'm currently building in an Isuzu box truck as well. Similar layout to what I was planning and slightly jealous they got such a good deal. I had to pay 4k for a 1994, and I didn't even get a liftgate! Just rust :(

What a beautifully designed home!
It feels like I have seen every campervan, box truck, and cargo trailer build out there, and this one is still one of my very favorites.
I have found that I have 3 requirements that I can't live without on my build. First is a hydraulic bed, so I can have a spacious seating area like this one. Second, if it's a campervan, the cab needs to be walled off. Ideally, there would be access to the cab. I'm not sure if this is a deal breaker. With a campervan, I would definitely have a passage to the cab. With a box truck, I would probably cut a small door so I could hunch over and crawl into the cab. My 3rd requirement is a shower that is either separate.from the toilet, or that has a toilet that is hidden in the wall of the shower so you can slide it out when you need it, and the rest of the time it is slid into the wall, out of the way. I would have a no flush toilet. It's the only toilet I would be ok with that doesn't involve a black water tank.

I've watched lots of these and hands down this is my favourite build. Every space is well thought out, and utilised. It's amazing. Helps that you're both so talented. And that bathroom is something else. First one that I said to myself "that is a home"

They certainly managed to get everything in there without it looking crammed cluttered or like it was too hard to move around or anything.
looks like a 16' box, 8' wide. 7.5' tall

Really love this build. So homey and rustic which I love and all of the reclaimed items are so cool! So many times you see new builds and they are so modern and perfect you’re afraid to touch anything. The bed on a lift is brilliant! Excellent idea. You don’t even realize you’re in a box truck once you’re inside. Great composting choice. I looked at the Natures Head but after a while it just lost its appeal so I started looking elsewhere and came across the one you installed. All in all I love everything you’ve done. I could easily see myself living there! Vaya con Dios!!
Seriously, this build is absolutely fanfreakintastic!! I’ve lived tiny since 2013… but in prefab rv’s & trailers. This build has everything!! That bed though 🥰 The whole build looks beautiful & absolutely functional 💗 if y’all ever come to Austin (I’ve got a place for you to park), I’d love the opportunity to chat & see the rig irl!!
