What did I like most...his home is recycled....repurposed....reused....perfect for him. We have become a disposal society. If it doesn't work, toss it and get something new. I love when someone can make a home out of that which someone else rejects. Well done, Mike. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Safe travels. 🚚

This guy has perked up my day. I love finding people who aren't afraid to find themselves, and this guy has been successful at it too. The truck, just the type to have, his ideas, so much the type to have, I wish him the best of luck in exploring the places he will go, and the people he will meet.

Pretty good setup. I would make 3 changes. 1. Working remotely, you need a high availability internet set-up 2. Seems to need something in place for security. Hopefully, you will never need it, but being on the road, you will likely get yourself in some awkward situations 3. You really need a better office chair with proper back support.

I would put a portapotti under the bed, and a shower stool with inflatable kiddy pool and a hamam bowl for pouring water over me, like in a Turkish bath. Then if I wasn’t near a gym or it was late at night, I would have options.

I like the build. I myself don't cook much so if I had this kind of build, I would just remove the cooking area and replace it with those portable induction stoves used for camping. They're small and they run off of electricity. One less fuel resource to worry about. Also looks like enough room for one of those portable showering tents. Just deploy it to take a bath and fold it back up when you're not using it.

You should find a way to have like a screen or a window addition to the back door. So if you want you could have the door up and have either a window with tint so you can see out but no one can see in. If possible you could also do a screen so it would let in fresh air when you need it but keep the bugs out.

I feel exactly like this guy when it comes to why I’m building a box truck. I just picked up a 2003 GMC savana 3500 with a 16 foot box. I can actually afford rent and afford mortgages and I have great credit but the idea of paying all the interest or getting someone else rich isn’t something I like.

This is the way to go if you don't have the luxury of doing a full build with a lot of up front money like I did, buy the best truck you can afford and just move in and immediately stop wasting your money on rent, get cheap/free stuff to make if functional and turn it into exactly what you want over time. More freedom, less slavery. I also agree about the lack of windows, not many of us can afford a view anyway and if you can then just go outside, you can maintian temperature easier without them and stealth might end up being more important than you first think. A single large double glazed skylight is enough light during the day and good ventilation if you match it with an air intake fan. I will never live in a regular house again, it has worked out just that well.

Hi friend just seen your video Box Truck conversion it was very educating .I too am converting my 88 ecolonline 350 in my tiny home for financial reason 😮 I'm working to get out their MOAB. Just seeing new people mew horizons. You got great ideas with the open concept and the furniture that's what I do old furniture is still got life I do refurbish old pieces
Solar is another necessity when off grid I got them to be placed on my Truck ...Water concept love those 5 gln containers always useful.. your Roll up same as mine needs painting alsway good security. You did great job living wherever your horizon leads.
I would like to pick your brain and hear you talk about Solor and its connections. Thank you
    Sincerely Patricia

I just love going off-grid, but not with all the conveniences that most people have in their vans. I'm off grid with just a Jackery and I do fine. Actually I have two Jackerys, one is recharging as I drive and I switch them out. The water at my sink is gravity-fed, which I prefer. My shower is also gravity-fed with a nozzle that creates a spray. I have eveyhing I need in the way of lighting, cooking, bathing, etc. so I don't need a solar set-up at all. Life off-grid suits me just fine so I wouldn't change anything.
