I think that’s why MOS was the only movie and hero to start the DCEU. Superman had to realize the beautiful lie that doing the right thing always comes with hate. Some people will love him and other will not accept him and he had to lose his birth parents and his planet. He had to lose his earth father and finally had to lose his own life and leave the love of his life to save humanity.

WOW !!!!!! I have been pondering the connection!!!! I love that you have done a complete video about this. Music is powerful anyway and this specific piece is so beautiful that it was brought into WW1984.and ties it to BvS and every other hero. You have really made me very happy. I loved this connection and never could put it in words. This video is powerful. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love you!
What a beautiful video. You also capture the message of WW1984 perfectly. While I understand why people don’t like the movie I don’t understand how someone could hate it when it is able to give such a beautiful message about love and hope. It’s what the character Wonder Woman is all about and it is a core theme of the DCEU as a whole.
I’m sorry to say but I was angry when they used beautiful lie in ww1984, beautiful life is Batman’s theme. It does work and you did great explaining why but I still think he could of tried a something different
Amazing video!! The dceu has so much to offer. Not only with its rich characters and storytelling but by the amazing themes brought forward by the producers and directors of these projects. Just a shame we live in a world where people pick sides and only choose to like one thing ONLY. While putting the other down. If people spent just half the fraction of time they do analyzing the mcu and gave dc a chance (instead of tearing it apart) they would be mesmerize as well.
Brilliant BRILLIANT stuff here mate! Really well done, the narration works really well and the editing is great! Must have been working on this one for a while
Thanks dude! I appreciate that. Weirdly enough, this one came together pretty quickly! Had a specific vision in mind and I had the concept pretty fleshed out before I even started writing haha.
This was such an awesome video! I was wondering why A Beautiful Lie was in the scenes they were in. Your explanation made so much sense thanks for the insight.
Thank you for this! I re-watched WW84 after enjoying Snyder's Justice League and I actually didn't mind it as much the second time - I think it'll be one of those movies which will hopefully age beautifully over time like BvS. I love your emphasis on the movie soundtracks because they honestly don't get enough credit - I've been listening to "Truth" from the WW84 soundtrack on repeat the last few weeks and I thoroughly enjoy the timelessness and powerfulness that these composers convey in their music! Anytime someone complains about DCEU in the future I'm showing them this video 😂 Keep up the great work!
What an incredible analysis!! Love seeing these deeper dives into the dceu. These movies are so much more than ppl will give them credit for and it's a shame the Gen pop would rather replace this art with shallow superhero films. Hope that changes Mos- terraforming/flight Bvs- their war here/beautiful lie JL- cyborg becoming human/at the speed of force I could listen to all 3 of these films complete scores on repeat
Inhuman are those toxic fanatics who did not like the "Martha moment." I liked it, it was genius on Snyder's part. Up to now, I still don't understand why the thumb-downers hate it. Maybe they don't want anything that reminds them that they're living in their mothers' basements.
Awesome vid! MOS, BVS, WW, WW84, ZSJL, & Aquaman all had dynamite scores (Shazam! was pretty good). Fav DCEU score is still MOS, which is also my fav film score ever. It was Interstellar before Interstellar lmao!
Wow, this video was waaayyy better than what I expected. I am certain that I will be watching your other videos. Thanks mate, you just gained a new subscriber.
Ur essay is awesome. Love listening to you (not bad to look at either). 'The Beautiful Lie' - humanity and making sacrifices (and how the music underscores the emotional beats). That's a really cool throughline you explore. I am left wondering though, how much you're piecing together vs how much was intentionally placed there. Even if in my heart I'm not fully convinced I still appreciate your view. You surely make those movies sound so much better than they really were. While I appreciate a different tone and taking chances, I'm not as convinced Snyder was successful in his execution and the same goes for WW84 nonetheless I'm excited to see Snyder's conclusion and his version of Justice League. I'm probably more excited though, to hear what you have to say afterwards. Although I'm getting the feeling the DCEU can probably do no wrong in Ur eyes. Even if I see the movies way more flawed than you, I look forward upon rewatches considering your essay.
Ive always been more of a Marvel guy myself but I do appreciate the DC world as well. I have my prefrences of course and do some gentle jibing but more heroes...more hope in the world, to me can only be a good thing. How many heroes do we need? As many as it takes. Some heroes connect with some people some with others, but I think theirs an underlying pulse behind them all. A universal truth that is hidden deep in the essence of every hero.
This song playing in WW84 was the only reason that I somewhat enjoyed this film, and probably the fact that my expectations were so low after hearing the reviews
I am a Marvel Fan but I have to admit that the thematic continuity in the DCEU is much better than the MCU. Even though recently Marvel composers try to improve this flaw.
“How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?” - Bruce Wayne. He’s had several allies. I encourage you to watch Twin Perfect’s analysis of BVS but to say it short, it was Superman that brought him back because Superman was the only one he was on the road to literal premeditated murder. His code, officially broken and a hero/vigilante no more. He was at the brink and Superman selflessly asked him to “save Martha” who was someone else and just happened to have that name stopped him dead in his tracks. Bruce has issues. And it was never treated that he has real trauma in any other movie other than this. It’s literally laughed off in Batman Forever. Anyway, watch the Twin Perfect analysis of Batman v Superman and you’ll get your answers.
For me, a score (better, a leitmotif) is the soul of any movie/franchise, the leitmotif needs to fit the mood and the identity... My favorite score before was Beautiful Lie, now is The Foundation Theme from ZSJL.

The World only makes sense….
*When you force it to.*
🦇
Brilliant BRILLIANT stuff here mate! Really well done, the narration works really well and the editing is great! Must have been working on this one for a while
Thanks dude! I appreciate that. Weirdly enough, this one came together pretty quickly! Had a specific vision in mind and I had the concept pretty fleshed out before I even started writing haha.
@@FilmSpeak oh yeah man, always works best that way! And it shows too
@@LetsCrashThisParade Glad to hear it! Yeah I love when that happens...very rare but always welcomed haha
This was such an awesome video! I was wondering why A Beautiful Lie was in the scenes they were in. Your explanation made so much sense thanks for the insight.
Love this!!
Thanks!
Hope that changes
Mos- terraforming/flight
Bvs- their war here/beautiful lie
JL- cyborg becoming human/at the speed of force
I could listen to all 3 of these films complete scores on repeat
This would work if Beautiful Lie wasn’t just Batman’s theme and they put it in as temp music in WW84 and just never got a track that fit right
You beat me to this topic lol. So proud of your video
Inhuman are those toxic fanatics who did not like the "Martha moment."
I liked it, it was genius on Snyder's part.
Up to now, I still don't understand why the thumb-downers hate it. Maybe they don't want anything that reminds them that they're living in their mothers' basements.
I couldn’t have said it better. F the Martha scene haters. 👍🏻
This video essay was absolutely beautiful. You do amazing work. Thank you.
That musical piece is beautiful
Awesome vid! MOS, BVS, WW, WW84, ZSJL, & Aquaman all had dynamite scores (Shazam! was pretty good). Fav DCEU score is still MOS, which is also my fav film score ever. It was Interstellar before Interstellar lmao!
Really appreciated this thoughtfully constructed video essay. But I have to warn you that you misspelled 'trauma' at 18:33
Beautiful lie will appear in ZSJL, Zack said it
Wow this videos explains everything perfectly I was looking for 😍 well done
Wow, this video was waaayyy better than what I expected. I am certain that I will be watching your other videos. Thanks mate, you just gained a new subscriber.
I must say that this video has definitely made me appreciate WW84, a largely disappointing film for me, quite a bit more. Great video 👍
The way dc is not supporting Snyder rn angers me DO DAMN MUCH.
Great video! I’ve never gotten the hate for BvS! It’s one of DC’s best imo!
I thought batman beautiful lie was the world only makes sense if you force it too cus his parents died for no reason so he felt he had no reason?
These are soooo good. Keep it up.
Amazing video as always
Thanks dude!
This song playing in WW84 was the only reason that I somewhat enjoyed this film, and probably the fact that my expectations were so low after hearing the reviews
Excellent video!
Very thought provoking
Good job!!
I am a Marvel Fan but I have to admit that the thematic continuity in the DCEU is much better than the MCU. Even though recently Marvel composers try to improve this flaw.
Are you serious ?? DCEU continuity is worse than MCU
@@bolobalaman I said musical, thematic continuity.
@@bolobalaman Then why are you here?
Beautifully done!
I feel like Batman would have allies during his career, I don't know why it has to be Superman to "pull him out of the dark".
Underrated channel
True. This guy needs more subs.
@FilmSpeak please tell me the name of the font in your thumbnail. You don't realise how much I need it.
Did...did you just give me a reason to like wonder woman 1984, because... I think it worked
Yay!
Basically. The DCEU is too smart for the room.
That’s what separates DC from Marvel, movies that were ahead of their time.
Omg, this video was a great watch. Thank you for this
amazing video dude !
Thank you!
Zack Snyders Justice League rejuvenated my love for DC and if WB aren't going to continue that vision I'm not interested in watching.
For me, a score (better, a leitmotif) is the soul of any movie/franchise, the leitmotif needs to fit the mood and the identity...
My favorite score before was Beautiful Lie, now is The Foundation Theme from ZSJL.
Can anyone pls tell me the name of the font in the thumbnail... It's life or death for me.
I still don't see how the Lasso wrapped around Max's leg though. That wind kept it from being tossed...unless she wished it to make it to him.
Plot convenience?
As the beautiful lie appears also in WW 84 but not in ZSJL, I think it is a theme about the world before the creation of the Justice League.
