Been thinking about using a Streamdeck for all the functions in Star Citizen. Especially now when they're changing all the keybinds around. ;) Joking aside it would suit the game a lot. As a small example, just having a sub page on it with all emotes would be sweet.

The Loupedeck Live is also another great alternative for this purpose. The benefit is having 6 programmable rotary encoders that serves three functions each. I have mine programmed for autopilot functions like HDG, ALT and SPD adjustments. Seems to work great so far.

Touch Portal - an app for Android/IOS devices. You can set up all the key bindings you want for MSFS2020 and is very customizable, plus you can use this for programs such as Photoshop, OBS and others. ALSO - far, far, far cheaper than Stream Deck or Elgato at around AU$20 - compared to, for eg, the Elgato at AU$200+ (It can be free, but a bit limited in what you can do, but well worth paying the small amount of bucks). Have used it for about a week and it's brilliant for the flight sim, which atm is the only thing I use it for.

I use an old tablet with the deckboard app. I'm limited by the size of my tablet but it still fits up to 35 buttons. It's a little RCA Voyager with a 7" screen. I think deckboard is capable of about 98% of the same functionality if you wanted to put the time in to customizing it.
Most of the benefit is that It's a significantly cheaper option for those who might be interested. You could get 4 - 5 of these particular tablets for about the same price as a single 32 button Elgato.

Thanks for the info and in particular the video shots of the Monstertech MFD mount you're using for the 15-button Stream Deck. I just got my Stream Deck and have in inquiry about the distance across that hinge piece, to find out how far off the aluminum bar the MFD mount attaches - my Warthog throttle overhangs the bar about 1.5" so that hinge needs to stand off the MFD mount by at least that far. Looking at your video closely and comparing to the size of the buttons on the Stream Deck, it looks like it would be about 2" - 2.25" so it should work to clear my throttle base.
Ya just never know what's going to help somebody when you make a video, do you? Have watched quite a few of your other ones; this is the first one where I took notes..... :-)

Hey there, just saw this vid of yours as I have been thinking about getting a stream deck for DCS. I do have one question though, is there a lot of work in setting up the buttons on the stream deck to coincide with the buttons and switches in the cockpit ie configuration, scripting, downloads required and so on.....if so I think it would be easier just to learn the keyboard I just want something easy like the stream deck with just as easy set up - not into hard work or long thought out config, I am using a Tartarus for WoW and that was simple set up with installing one piece of software that just worked with the Tartarus, no scripting or config it just worked. Will the Stream Deck for a cock pit be just as easy?

Look into PCI USB cards. You can only get so much bandwidth through your mobo's USB controller, but PCI cards have their own lane. It's basically a must for simmers since nobody puts enough damn USB ports on mobos anymore! I use a PCI card, along with a 10 port hub that has two on-off buttons. That way I can turn off a whole bank of devices.

@@NOOBIFIER1337 Than it is quite a pity they do not make also sort of master + slave units. Because button price change from ~16 € to 8 € with increasing size. It is lovely thing especially i.e. for someone flying more than 1 bird in DCS who wants something more than just keyboard and controllers but specific home cockpit cannot fit different planes.
(And I was thinking that my expenses had been satisfied with VKB Gunfighter. Now they want to rise again ... bastards)
