Clemson played Georgia Tech on Monday night in Atlanta at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The defense looked incredible, but the offense looked out of sync. Their mistakes were unbelievable at times. But, the most incredible, yet depressing moment, was when Cade Klubnik entered the game around the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter. Suddenly the Tiger offense looked like a new team. Klubnik's passes were crisp, fast, and accurate. The Clemson team was rejuvenated. Unfortunately, seasoned Clemson fans know that Cade will see reduced action. Will it take a loss for Cade to finally receive the keys to the car? I truly hope not, but don't be surprised.

I respect you acknowledging that DJU is somebody’s kid. Talking heads on ESPN don’t do that nearly enough.

I love college football and I do believe people/society as a whole is too sensitive. With that said, trashing players just for ratings or to seem intellectual is unethical and unprofessional. Why pick on anyone, especially a college player

There was just a different feeling similar to turning on a light in a dark room when Cade entered the ballgame

A thought just struck me while you were talking, Not Bobby. You should advise Dabo and all of the Clemson coaches. If they could hear some of your pointers I feel like things could really start firing on all cylinders for your team.
Your quarterback situation is reminding me of the 2015-2016 season with Ohio State. The quarterback battle was between Cardale Jones, JT Barrett, and Braxton Miller. All of the fans and the media were in a constant state of angst over who should be under center and it kind of just swallowed up all of the energy from the whole season. It all ended with us losing to Michigan State at the end of the season and not making the playoff. A footnote to this story is that the 4th string quarterback behind the three I just mentioned was a little fellow named Joey Burrow.
We never really settled into that season, and many think it was partly because of the quarterback situation. I feel your pain about your quarterback situation. It really gives strength and stability to the team if there is one guy under center, but it doesn't always work out that way, so there has to be a kind of "quarterback battle" that goes on after the season has started. I hope things really settle down for your Tigers, because it's insanity to have a quarterback situation up in the air. I still feel schizo from that season.
I've been reading a lot about Ohio State the past couple of weeks. Our fan base is INTENSE and sometimes I can only handle it in small doses! All of Buckeye Nation has been jonesing for some football for months now, and the cage door has now opened. The media and hyper fan base are now going crazy with the emerging stories and exciting plot lines unfolding so far.
One that is a carry-over from last year: a lot of fans get furious at Ryan Day because he is so obsessed with CJ Stroud's passing game that he won't run the ball when that's what is needed to win the game. It happened last year a couple of times, where it was obvious the running game was cooking and Ryan Day would not give up on the passing plays.
Hearing you talk about Dabo reminded me a lot of the conversations I've seen in comment sections about people criticizing Coach Day's play calling. People get angry that someone would dare question the head coach of The Ohio State. Then it starts this back-and-forth between irritated fans. Another thing about my fan base: no matter HOW good our team is or HOW many games we win, there will always be fans that nit pick incessantly about any flaw our blue blood team has.
Love your two channels and I'm loving that college football season is finally here!

Sue, I'm glad you're here!! You're summary about Day is quite telling. No one is beyond critique (notice I used a nicer word variation of criticism, haha). When an individual or entity is beyond critique, a fall/corruption is soon to follow. It's my favorite time of year! Thank you so much for supporting my channels!

@@ClemsonFootballLive That reminds me when Urban Meyer wanted to keep Zach Smith as his wide receiver coach, even though Zach was a super shady character and a sub-par coach. Urban hired/kept his friends on the coaching staff and no one dared question him. Zach's sketchy ways got exposed and Urban Meyer lost his job.
