Avieon Terrell was shutting down Bryant Wesco a 5 star WR. I can't even imagine how high his ceiling truly is. AJ Terrell might be giving him some tips too.
@@ClemsonFootballLive How could anyone criticize Mike Reed? I mean yeah he did miss on Fred Davis but that was the biggest miss in my opinion. Sheridan Jones should've probably been better than he was but they can't all be superstars like AJ Terrell, Trayvon Mullen, Andrew Booth, and Nate Wiggins. The job he did with Nate Wiggins honestly probably impressed me most out of all of them. You look at where Nate Wiggins started to where he ended up. I still remember Nate Wiggins not knowing how to track the ball and giving up a long pass play to South Carolina State and then getting torched over and over again against Wake Forest.
Brian this is one of your best videos in regards to informative. There is no doubt that if transfer portal were the problem, it would affect both sides of the ball. Not only that, but we absolutely have fans that are still drunk with the 2018 win, and they go into attack mode when anyone tells the truth about the current state of the offense. We are quickly becoming a has been.
@@ClemsonFootballLive I wonder if he wanted the starting job but understood Etienne was obviously going to be the starter and then Shipley came in and was the starter. I think he got very frustrated with that happening.
Like Dabo says and just said during the Spring Game, if the ball hits you in the hands, you catch it. Period. It has always seemed strange to me that our head coach played wide receiver and now they seem to be one of the least developed position group. Nothing against Grisham, but he needs to go.
As an outsider looking in, I feel like Clemson fails too much on 2nd and long and 3rd downs in general. I could be very wrong about that, but it seems like the offense isn’t centered around the talents of the players there. I think more read options and pre snap movement would really help confuse the defense more.
Have patience my friends. Turnover in staff is a fact of life. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss replacing people. Sometimes you hit on recruits, sometimes you miss. Long game. Patience my friends. Go Tigers 🐅🐅
Clemson, Penn State, and Iowa. All outdated on offense. All have established head coaches who are set in their ways in an ever changing college football landscape.
Coaching matters, but the culture there also works against them. Win or lose, it`s always basketball and BBQ`s at Dabos house. Too bad we lost that game, but we need to hurry back cause there`s beach volleball and jet skis!
Did you hear Dabo mention that O Line scored well in effort but was scoring low on technique? I’m curious how they were scoring on technique under Austin?!? Maybe it ties back to what you have said-M Luke having to break bad habits. I think it was after Spring game
It's hard to learn something but it might be even harder to unlearn something. I think Thomas Austin really messed these guys up and now they have to just keep repping what Matt Luke is coaching them to do and over time they should be able to break what Thomas Austin had them doing.
It is one of the simplest things anyone who has ever played understands .Offense requires more timing and working together Defense is about being an athlete and physical anticipation and reaction Defense is always usually until mid year ahead of offense for teams that have good defenses. GA & Alabama teams their defenses set up the offense with short fields etc. Have you not been watching football with any real.world analysis. You win with Defense go look at how many times the Defense gave DeShawn & Trevor short fields or added touchdowns .
I see your point, but I think we agree more than we disagree. For example Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian, and Lincoln Riley are notorious for killer offenses while their defense struggles. Why? Coaching. Clemson’s offense has struggled for multiple seasons. It goes back to poor coaching at the position level.
players that should under normal circumstances go to the NFL: Ugalelei, Klubnik, Vizzina, Stellato, Mafah, Collins, etc players that might not go to the NFL: Ugalelei, Klubnik, Vizzina, Stellato, Mafah, Collins, etc
I feel like you do about Cade klubnik to he has the athletic abilities to carry us to another championship but his development is so pore it's ridiculous and it's sad
Thank you thank you thank you ..... I've been saying since day 1 Cj had no business being our rb coach with zero experience. Simply because he was Dabo very first 5* he feels indebted to him. Cj and all other former players should have to work their ways up the ranks.... but Dabo, heyyyyy you played here of course you're a D1 level coach SMH
Hear me out here, I think our offensive line is ruining our quarterbacks. When they consistently don't have time to throw, I think they lock in on one receiver assuming they won't have the time to process their reads. And they also start to lose the touch on their passes and I think the pass blocking has a lot to do with it. I think Matt Luke can have a big impact on the quarterbacks if he can find a way to give them consistent time to throw and process the field and the defense post-snap.
That’s a very valid point. I believe it was Jim Harbaugh who said that the oline is basically the deciding factor of success or failure. This could be the reason Swinney gave Grisham another chance. I definitely agree with you
@@ClemsonFootballLive Maybe so. I definitely think Dabo should start thinking about guys that would fit the program but are also top tier receivers coaches. Grisham might not be as bad as we're all thinking though. It's hard for receivers to trust their quarterback when the quarterback is inconsistent. If the offensive line can get a lot better, we will find out for sure what the actual issues are.
Having zero experience in the offensive coaching room has definitely been detrimental to Clemson. Now we have Riley and Luke in there, but they have a lot of work to do. These guys have had zero coaching from experienced high level power 5 coaches. My guess is it will take at least another year or so to retrain add/or recruit players that fit our scheme.
I don't believe in calling people out by their names, so I am going to give you the initials of 2 coaches that need to be shown the door: Tyler Grisham and CJ Spiller There you have it. I hope you can figure out what coaches I am talking about by their initials.
The answer is in Coleman last year and Justin fields and trey sermon in the playoffs. I've heard that Dabo had offered and tried to get some transfers, but perception is that dabo is outdated. WRs were huge for clemson in those nattys but WRs are the deva position. They want paid. That means NIL.
8:59 wait until it opens up after this week... Also defenses are naturally more of a developmental position compared to being able to through in a bunch of star players at key positions like QB and WR
24:08 Jimmy V in basketball developed players, but then he started caring more about the character of a person and trying to change and develop them as people more than developing them as players. Yes you need to develop both, but don't forget you're running a sport program.
Im telling you u get a experience Wide Receiver give him sum time and give Matt Luke time. Actually develop the QBs things will change on that offense. CJ Spiller gotta go man can’t develop or recruit. Tyler G should stay and be a recruiter.
20:44 If Clemon had grabbed the QB Dequon Finn from toledo I would have called it an amazing move. Don't tell me teams like Baylor can utilize the portal better than Clemson. QBs and WRs are specialists.
Are you blind? Turner is probably mediocre but Stellato? He’s the toughest guy in that room full of pu**ies. Most of them won’t make a tough catch to save their lives. Stellato and maybe Tyler Brown are the only ones who’ll make a catch when they know they’re going to get smacked.
Mike Reed is a treasure he don’t miss very much

Dixon was a badass running back. He had a bad attitude cause he didn't get the touches he deserved in my opinion
