Crazy thing is Clemson has money to pay coaches really good

Yep, we could have the best offensive position coaches in the game as a whole, but we're still dabbling in the "you played here, you can coach here" game

Clemson has the talent to get back to the CFP. The defense is incredible and will give the Tigers a chance to win a lot of football games this season. But the offensive struggles are what makes me not so confident in that. They could do a lot better come in season, but It looks mostly the same as last year offensively which worries me. Great stuff as always bud!

When I think about 2018 Clemson Football the first few things that come to mind are Christian Wilkins, Dexter Lawrence, Clelin Ferrell, and Austin Bryant. With that being said, I agree with your assessment about this current team.

Bro are you for Clemson or not? Or are you really Tyler from Spartanburg? Do you think you should be coach? All these equivocations, yes but yes but yes but. Dabo brought 2 Natty's to Clemson. Who are you to judge

Hi Michael, I call the issues as I see them. These issues are why Clemson’s no longer dominant.

Pate is a sycophant who always toes the company line. He's pollyannaish about any particular player, program, you name it. Go watch Uncle Lou's take on him. Spot on.

What I have heard that Riley was hired because Dabo thought that Alabama was going hire him. Dabo and Nick Saban are pretty good friend thru all of this. I think Riley not the man for this job.

Transparently, this Riley/Swinney relationship is exhausting. Who's running the offense? Will Riley bolt because his stock is dropping?

Looks like you got another mention from Josh on his show.... Coaches at a Crossroads... I think I agree with both of you, as Josh clarifies Clemson " should" be able to make the playoffs this year. But, like you, I'm not sure they will and I hope I'm wrong!

Still salty about that beat down. I wouldn’t laugh about “a fall from grace” if I were you. Your team is about to experience the same thing in the distant future. Bama will be back to nothing like before Saban made them relevant again🤣🤣

@@justmando9488 12 rings before Saban got there??? Clemson finished 6th in the ACC. Thats pathetic. It’s not like the Tigers lost Dabo, yall just suck all of the sudden. Don’t be mad bruh.

Last year before the season began Someone in the media asked coach if his new offensive coordinator was going to be running a lot more of the plays and sets that he was using at his prior stops And when coach said that he would be running the Clemson offense I thought maybe he was trying to keep Duke and the other teams who were early on our schedule guessing, but as the season went on, we saw a lot of the same things that we saw in prior years. why not allow the person you made one of the highest paid offensive coordinators in the nation implement his offense? why not give him access to the transfer portal? and allow him to bring in quality competition at. The most important position on the team? having to use NIL on a transfer who can help your team does not make them morally, corrupt or lower than scum, because when you are recruiting them out of high school you are recruiting them for what they can do on the field not out of the kindness in your heart, don’t get me wrong because you want young men with great character but don’t act so self righteous, and think that your success isn’t tied to them and there’s isn’t tied to you. I understand the frustration, for the last couple of years we go into spring practice with the hopes of seeing that smooth running Clemson offense but we only get the syndicated reruns from the past three seasons. The defensive coordinator. has really improved over the past couple of seasons. especially his endgame adjustments, and the hires on the defensive staff will really make a difference, and the offensive line coach higher is already paying dividends but you must continue to make changes at the positions that aren’t getting the job done. I have the utmost respect for coach Sweeney and appreciate. all that he has done and will do for the program., I just don’t want the downfall of the Clemson program to be because of one person‘s stubbornness to change.

I'm with you: why was Swinney running the offense? He was a WR coach, not a play caller. Also, why hire Riley only to micromanage him?
The offensive staff versus the defensive staff is the tale of totally different scenarios. Inexperience versus experienced. Unsuccessful versus Successful.

@@ClemsonFootballLive Riley has learned his trade from one of the better offensive head coaches in college football from working under Sunny Dykes and he’s probably always picking his brothers brain for things that can better be offense, why restrict what he can do with the better players Clemson has? I know people get upset when you point things out about what’s going on with the program but what you are pointing out is the little things that have become consistently constant and seem to keep repeating year after year and not learning from them. with just competent quarterback play, Clemson could have gone to the playoffs, the last two seasons, easily, but when the person in charge feels the meat to constantly prove he is right and his way is the best way he ignores the fact that those choices are hurting the team. coach has earned the right to voice his opinion. about how he feels about the state of college football. but nobody wants to hear a sermon about it every time the media poses the question. I wish he would be more like Sabin., take advantage of it, and then complain about it later, because nobody can really tell you to shut up when you are winning.
