OMG! there is just some magic in jazz that anybody can enjoy, there is no limit, it is the literal definition of freedom in music! loved the performance! i came here to listeen how it sounds in the right tempo as my jazz band is playing this along with many at the end of this year and i am so excited after seeing how it sounds in this vid! Bravo
Looking back at that remark I feel bad. But I would like to say that we have preformed with the MSU Jazz Band 1 twice now and have had many guest such as Jon Faddis. We have also just been invited to preform at MSU. Again I am sorry for my juvenile remark.
This is THE favorite pep band song we have lol.
Thanks for replying and listening . Sax solo is by Tom Hamilton.
Hey Doug, any way I could possibly purchase a studio version of this track? Thanks.
Sorry, Just saw this. Not sure i know what you mean......Recording Studio ?
Needs to have a wayyyy quicker tempo
Modern versions tend to rush way too much.

Played this in my 7th grade band

Playing this is sixth grade jazz band
This is a considerably better arrangement than the Murtha one, as I recall it.
Trombone gets melody? That’s rare!
I get this was six years ago is there a bass bone player I couldn't really hear him if there was
Yes, Jim Daniels on Bass Bone.....
Who's the arranger of this rendition? This is the only place I've found this version and I haven't seen it say...
and/or is it on Spotify?
I must say this a popular Pep-Band song at my school
Nice job, although I’d personally prefer it just a little bit quicker…
Good job
I miss playing in the jazz band
UG
EER
Where can I get the arrangement?
I will check .
Today I played this on tuba instead of trombone. One of the other trombone players played so loud that it may have damaged my hearing.
Lol my high school jazz band does better and faster than this
Now just because you guys can play it faster means jack
Psychedeloshippie
Thanks, we play it at this tempo for dancing......
