    Thanks for this Jamie, absaloute game changer for my Nike invincible 3's which very much needed a runners knot!

    This knot was a game changer for me. I literally had an "Oh my God" moment first time I tried it. My feet are used to sliding forward in shoes as I walk / run. I end up feeling like most shoes are too tight/restricting at the front and not stable in the heel. Not anymore!

    Hi Jamie's, good video on your explanation of runners knot! I have tried on all my running shoe and it works well but, recently i just got a new pair of Pegasus 38 and found out that the laces are way too short to tie runners knot. Any solution for this? Is using 'no-tie' shoe laces can also tie runners knot to replace the traditional shoe laces?

    Late comment but I just got my vapor fly next %’s. I tried the runners knot because that’s what I do on all my other shoes. But the laces on the vapor Flys are weird and make it really hard to do a runners knot because of the length and material. How do I need to lace them?

    Regular shoes are 9.5, been buying 10s for my running shoes but recently was told I should really be in a 10.5 bc my toes should have more room (there's room but apparently not enough). Decided to trust the advice and go with a 10.5 on some Mach 4s but there's some heel slippage...🤞 This works and stays working as I put on the miles lol

    This is my idea of hell lol I suffer from anterior tibialis tendonitis which is basically pain on the top of the foot and can occur when laces are too tight at the knot. To stop it coming back I now use elastic laces so my foot has room to expand as it inevitably does on longer runs. To combat the shoe slipping at the ankle I opt for bigger socks in my wider running shoes.

      Thanks Phil, the good thing about the Runner’s Knot however is that it doesn’t require you to have tight laces, it instead ‘cinches’ your foot into place. You can then tie a reasonably loose knot. I also get some issues, especially across the top of my left foot, if my laces are too tight. Worth reconsidering and giving this a try, if it potentially means you don’t have to dig out thick socks in order to run.

      @@Jamies.Running That's good to know. I'll give it a go and see how I get on as I've honestly never tried it before.

      @@philt6440 let me know if you do and how it feels, it’d be great to know if it gets you a secure fit without the pain 👍🏼

      @@Jamies.Running So I tried the runners knot on a 15k run the other day and it seemed to do the job. My top foot pain didn't come back and it's been two days since. Will definitely adopt it in the future as it did vice in the ankle well. I'm starting to think my injury was never from too tight laces now and just overuse as more reading suggests it's related to tight calves. I definitely have those and could do with stretching more.

      @@philt6440 great to hear that the runner’s knot held up ok, I have it in all of my shoes (the ones with double eyelets at the top anyway!)

    Does this solve my tongue displacement to the sides when i run?!

    • @Jamies.Running
      @Jamies.Running  3 года назад

      Potentially, if you’re getting a nice secure fit it may stop the tongue from moving loosely
