Kami is awesome and a teacher account is very inexpensive! If one does the math it's $8.25 per month. Also if a teacher is sharing a document from a Teacher account, all students will have access to the additional tools such as the read aloud and the different annotation tools (voice comments, screen share, voice comments).
It helps but if they have the link to the kami document or if this is synced w/ an LMS (Canvas, Schoology, or Google Classroom), then it's not necessary.
