I am always surprised how people do stuff so fast. I yesterday did this to my Injora Aluminium Axles with Brass Knuckles and it took me at least 3 or 4 hours. Of course disassemble everything (you dont want to have metal chips in your gears and then file and grind, assemble and take apart several times to see if it fits/works. When finished i realized that my steering linkage was limiting, touching a brass diff cover, so take that apart and off again and file on that brass - actually took me half of the day.
Good info on this one Thank You! I still like your DATCAT better though! (Datsun Redcat!) I started my mini crawler collection with the Ascent18 and love that truck! I will be building my first SCX24 from the ground up in 2 weeks!
Hello, i have done your tips, I have really more steering angle on the left but I am not happy with the steering angle to the right. I don't understand because I have really cut the same and there is no touching when I turn with my hand. Have you got any solution? Thank you very much for the tips
@vincentl1353 what servo are you running? Make sure you have the servo centered before putting the horn on and make sure you set your end points so they are even.
@@Moneypit__RCOK I have solved my problem with a bigger horn servo. No it turne perfectly on the right and the left. Do you think it's normal that the motor run harder when I have a big steering angle? Thank you for your advice. That's really cool
Nice little trick 🤘✌️
Thanks!
Nice! Super simple and great results!
Thank you!! 🙏

Don't worry, takes me half a day to do any small task
Great video! I'm a huge fan of the OGRC u-joint shafts - I have them in a few of my rigs. They seem to hold up pretty well
@@JeepinMaxx I run them in pretty much 85% of my builds. They are great and you don’t have to worry about snapping those pins.
Great tips! I'm thinking the axle shafts will be great for the spare parts build I'm doing. Thanks!
@@MysticRiverRC thank you!!

The Redcat is so underrated! It’s a fantastic crawler. Sweet! Can’t wait to see it when it’s done. Keep on crawling!
@@Moneypit__RC Did you cut the front of the frame off of your Redcat as well to give the servo room?
@@percivale6511 yes I cut it off to clear the body from hitting the servo.
Also i think you forgot to mention that you have to remove the outer bearing in the axle body for the OGRC cvd axles.
Yes sorry. I already had those axles installed so I didn’t mention that.
What are you using to mach width on rear axle?
Hot racing +4 mm axle shafts. It comes in a kit, just use the rear ones only.
Can you please do a build video of the rig
Yes I can.
The problem i have on my rig is that i got some portal axels and the only thing that is limiting is the shafts.
Ahh yes portals are nice but only on certain rigs
Most aluminum housings don’t have the bowls so ready to go!
That’s very true!
Where did you get the body at?
I printed it.

I use an emax but the horn is maybe a little bit short ... Have to try with a bigger one .

I did this mod with my (very sharp) pocket knife.
Yup. That’s an easy way to do it also!
@@Moneypit__RC Absolute butter.
Get Mofos X15 axles and thank me later! Mofo for the win!
I want to try them!
@@Moneypit__RC You will like then a lot! I have all 3 flavors. The aluminum, nylon and all brass! Super smooth and excellent stearing angle.
