- Installing relays in your electrical system to power your headlamps is smart. Especially for our older British cars. As the switches get older and corroded, resistance turns to heat, and can damage the switch. Today's brighter halogen headlamps also draw more current taxing the system even more. A headlamp relay kit is the answer.
Without exception ALL of the Moss Motors videos are excellent.
Great video. Clear explanations. Thank you. I now know what that other black box is doing in the engine bay of my recently acquired ‘37 Buick. The schematic doesn’t show it. Someone must have made the improvement along the way, and now I know why. 👍🏻
most utility vehicules rely on relays to energize their electrical equipments, the switches triggers those relays.
It have many advantages , the first one is that when properly installed and located, it simplifies the diagnostic and replacement and it limits the wear on the switches so they last the life of the vehicule.
As the switches are the weakness of the Lucas systems, installing relays on all the functions that draw current is more than welcome.
It is a very good idea to redo all the wiring when the car takes age as the corrosion installs in the wire strands as the insulation becomes brittle and porous.
very good video
The hands thing is like your doing a puppet show
Good stuff for learning though.
thanks.
Professional mechanics hate this video for simply give out the secrets to automotive BLACK MAGIC!!!
Hey. Thank you for these videos. You're doing a great job. One video i cant seem to find is how to do a fuel level check on a carburetor. Is there any way you can do that? Thanks
There's no way to get a visual on the fuel level. The way to do this properly is to make sure the float is properly adjusted. We have a video outlining how to adjust a float.

My classic car is Positive Ground,
Does the instructions stay the same?
Ok ok ,nice commentary, but, just simply want to know how to plug in the wires. Where do you connect wires “specifically? “ At which junctions? Thank you, or anyone have a video to “actually connect wires?”
Ur missing the point of owning an old clasic car
This has to be one of the most irritating videos I've ever viewed. I don't need talking hands. I need information without distraction.
Doesn’t actually tell you which wires to plug into which mgb connectors . All I need to know. Thank you
