I think it's because cody is kind of dramatic with his mannerisms and a little abrasive in the way he shows himself on streams. Obviously I dont know the guy, but that's why I find myself rooting against him.

P sure the reason PPU Up B'd early on that first BF stock was because he was trying to call out (and hit) fox wd back to the edge. As we all know, if marths up B hits u when your trying to Wd FF down, its bad.

Yeah it's a DI mixup on the up throw
Have not labbed it out but I believe once marth up throws at that percent and if the fox DI's the throw forward as seen at 3:43, marth has the option to double jump sweetspot reverse up-B which kills off the side. If iBDW does combo DI (DI out) he'll lose to the up-B. If he does survival DI (DI up) he'll survive the up-B but will be susceptible to the ken combo as seen, hence the 50/50 DI mixup PPMD was talking about(correct me if I'm wrong).
That being said the up-B setup is a risky move, it seems like a tough frame window to hit since fox can shine out of it if PPU is not perfect with his input. The spacing of the reverse sweetspot up-B can be tough and if he misses or gets the weak hit, fox gets a punish since marth goes to freefall. The ken combo is definitely the safer option since it leads to a kill if fox DI's in and edgeguard situation if fox DI's out since they will DI the f-air poorly.

he explained on stream that his voice sounds like that because he had talked to so many people his voice went hoarse. he actually caught a second wind of energy and felt great the rest of the event.
Anyone with a shred of critical thinking skill can pretty much say that PP IS forcing it. That being said, anyone in his position, considering all of his history with melee, would probably act similarly. I think he probably feels immense pressure trying to come back into the scene with the exact same energy he had back in 2014-2015. He's just a different person now and it may never be the same as it was back then. We'll just have to see how it goes
@@jumpman1233 I mean yeah sometimes. Idk, he also said he really didnt want to go to g7, but really enjoyed himself once he got over his hurdles. So yes, he is forcing some stuff, but I think if anyone would listen to what their body is telling them, it would be him.
