  • Hassle FREE car buying is the ONLY way to buy a car. If you need help buying a car, The Homework Guy Kevin Hunter has a full time car broker waiting to help you save Time, Money, and Hassle in buying a new car or buying a used car.
    #1 starts with a Personal Consultation, a conversation with Kevin. First, you can book the phone call directly with me on our website, thehomeworkguy.com/store. You get 45 minutes to ask any questions you want about anything and everything car related. Tell me what you’re looking for in your next car, whether it’s new or used that you’re after. The zip code you live in so we can target dealers closest to you. I’ll ask about your likes, dislikes, and what your target budget looks like. This isn’t just about us finding you a car; it’s about us understanding your needs so we can serve you better.
    #2 is Test Drives. if you haven’t test driven a car yet or narrowed down your choices, you’re going to go out and get it done. We tell you exactly what to say so you can get out of there without making any foolish commitments. So, you politely drive vehicles at dealerships near you, and when you’re done checking the vehicles out, you tell the salesmen the #1 most dreaded car customer line of all time “I need to go home to think about it.” It makes car salesmen cringe, but honestly, you need to know you can just drive and leave. You don’t have to buy a car today, and you shouldn’t buy a car in one day!
    #3… and that is Getting Stuart Involved. Stuart has subscription software he uses to find cars and with options that fit your criteria and sends them right to you, along with all the details you need to make an informed decision. Stuart brings his own tips and tricks to the team, and we love it! Once you decide on a vehicle, the real magic starts.
    #4 Stuart contacts the dealers for you, negotiates a great price on your vehicle focusing on an OTD price/ He arranges all the necessary paperwork. You won’t have to lift a finger. That’s it! He does it all for you, and you don’t have to deal with any nonsense from a salesperson again! It’s no haggle car buying at its finest. Stuart negotiates everything in the deal for you, and coming up, we’ll share some great testimonials from real viewers we’ve already helped. There’s a lot of them who are burning gas down the road in their new vehicle!
    #5 Signing the paperwork - you’ll get an outline from Stuart of the paperwork that is prearranged and waiting for your signature at the dealer. All the numbers will be decided in advance, and you’ll know what they are before you agree to go in and get your car. You head in, check the car over again, sign the papers and simply double check that they match the information Stuart sent you! It’s brilliant, simple, pain-free, and it works no matter where you live in the US! New or Used Cars!
    #6 You have your new or new to you car! And we love to hear how it went for you.

    My brother's need for a new truck has become immediately clear. We've watched THG videos for months and in the end the best decision for him was to take all the emotion, worry, and self doubt when negotiating out of the picture. Kevin and Liz responded super quick and within half a day we had Kevin on the phone for the consult and Liz ready to assist with anything he needed. Everything stated in this video was disclosed and accurate. The willingness to listen and help has my brother stoked to see the final results Stuart can bring. I cannot tell you the stress this has relieved him of. The THG team is the straight shooting real deal and we will report the final results and know those will be much better than he could have ever done alone.

    Just wanted to express my thanks to both Kevin and Elizabeth. My 21 year old truck died and just couldn't spend what it would take to get it running again. I watched your videos on paying cash, made notes, followed every bit of advice, and paid only TT&L, and a small document fee, I got the vehicle I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. 😊 It made my car buying experience a snap. You rock!!!

    Your vids help. I contacted local credit unions for rates and gap coverage costs. When at a dealer last week I told them I didn't like their financing options and said ill go with my credit union instead. It was great watching them panic and freak out.

    We just bought a new car. As we were headed to the car we were asked if we were excited in a way that implied we should be. We told them, not really! They seemed puzzled although we’d told them all along we didn’t like the available choice.

    I will definitely be using you when the time comes for me to buy a new car. Unfortunately, I just bought a new vehicle so it'll be a while, but I hate I used the dealer I did. Their lawyer lied to the state.

    What happens if the dealer charges "mandatory theft protection" and you report it to the state Attorney General and their lawyer lies to the attorney general to say that you didn't have to buy the theft protection?

      Ask them to put it on writing on a sheet of dealer letterhead! If they do - that's your evidence. If they refuse, walk away because you're working with a crooked dealer.

      If you were sold theft protection (or rather forced into buying it), visit the dealer accounting office with a letter stating that you want it cancelled immediately. If you financed the car, the amount will simply come off the balance of the loan. If you paid cash, you'll receive a check back for it. For future reference, policies like this ALWAYS state right on the documentation that the purchase is optional. It's required to be optional by law, which is why the little lawyer weasel told the AG's office it was optional. Dealers don't give a damn about laws. They break them all the time!

    I am curious. There is a dealer I found online that offers under invoice pricing on F-150s. The last one I bought we placed the factory order and when it came in we just drove to the dealership, signed the papers and got it for a couple hundred under invoice. Would your service be able to help in a situation like this or are they already giving the best deal?

    Is the deal prepurchase inspection pending with dealer cooperation? Wouldnt buy without being involved with ppi before signing... or is this just for new cars?

    • @goinpostal51
      @goinpostal51 Месяц назад +1

      This is a good question.

    • @KevinHunter
      @KevinHunter  Месяц назад

      Here's the deal about PPI or Pre purchase Inspections. You want it done by an independent mechanic who has nothing to lose by being honest about the state of the vehicle's condition. A good dealer is happy to allow you to have it inspected. A moderate dealer may or may not let you do it. A bad dealer is hoping to sell you junk without your knowledge. If the dealer turns down your request, it means they aren't necessarily a good car dealership to work with.
      I've done pre purchase inspections before where I sign an overnight 'rental' contract with the dealer. I leave my car behind. I drive theirs home to my mechanic, and go back to buy it the next day when it checks out or return it if not. Now, out of state, this is harder, but you could stay at a hotel and do the overnight, arrange with a mechanic a couple days in advance, it should still work.

    Kevin, what advice can you provide when ordering a vehicle from the manufacturer instead of getting one off the lot? I've heard that ordering one is quite a straightforward operation - talk with the sales mgr, fill out paperwork, pay a deposit and wait. Can I avoid fees & charges this way? Do you have a video on this? If not, there's an idea for one.

    • @KevinHunter
      @KevinHunter  Месяц назад +1

      @antoniog9814 thanks for the comment. Ordering has its benefits. First, the dealer doesn't have to get a loan to get the vehicle, called floor planning. Second, it ensures you aren't going to shop with their competition, so that's a win for them. They also don't have to pay for advertising to get you to order. They're saving TONS of money.
      So, as far as process, you are correct. Put your deposit on a credit card only just in case something happens. Credit card companies are better and faster about getting charges reverses. You get the MSRP, perhaps without the destination fee but it'll be about $1,000 to $1,500. You negotiate AFTER the vehicle arrives. Yes, the dealer knows that this is the only vehicle you want, but you don't have to pay the fake fees. Use the leverage I shared above that you're saving them money by ordering. Good luck!
      Liz

    Long time sub, and in the market for a new vehicle. This service sounds great, but what if Stuart is unable to get us over $1050 in savings? Is there a money-back guarantee or something similar?

    • @KevinHunter

      It has happened 100% of the time.

    • @KevinHunter
      @KevinHunter  Месяц назад +1

      Stuart has never gotten less than the $1050 off in savings. The savings will be bigger if you're trading in because there are 2 vehicles to negotiate on, but suffice to say that we'll take care of you properly, like you'd expect from THG

      @KevinHunter Thanks Kevin. I'm looking to pay cash, no trade, so I'm probably not a good candidate. Also, I'm looking at new VW Taos, which look to have a very slim profit margin (invoice vs msrp). I'd be all over this buying service if I thought there was more meat on the bone though.
