We recently hired a new editor. the previous edition went live with what some people described as a very distracting and annoying music sound bed. So, we are relaunching this show without the "noise."
Thank you for removing the noise. The viewers who want music can easily have their own on, while those of us who don’t want any don’t have to. Everyone’s happy! 😀
I went to a Toyota dealership, agreed on a price $5,000.00 below msrp.. as soon as I went into the finance office, he pulled out the plastic card with the EXTRAS!!! I looked at him and told him to put it back and said i don’t want to hear the EXTRAS! Just print the contract. He got so pissed that he couldn’t get me to spend extra $$$, he got up and had another finance come in to finish up. They don’t like customers that know the behind the scenes finance robbery that they try to put on the consumer! Don’t let them bully you!!! As they say, Do your homework!!!!!!
Yep, Gettel stadium Toyota in Tampa said $2995 in Add ons are mandatory!! Acted like never heard of the FTC cars rule and handed my car keys back and said thanks for stopping by!!
that is the law in some states, just back it out of car price. He actually told you the accurate truth that most all do not tell you.. Most say , the law says we have to charge it " leaving out that they can choose not to charge it ever to anyone..
I asked for an OTD price at Miami Lakes automall (Florida) they tried to charge me this crazy fees: Installed packages = NSD apperance protection 399 NSD ETCH 299 LoJack 699 wheels lock 499. Then some more fees in small letters: tire &battery fee 6.50 lemon law 2.00 tag fee 23 electronic reg filling fee 399 pre delivery service fee 999.99 license 510. I said NO thank you 👋🏻 Were they in compliance?
I literally just went to a Buick dealer. And they had an advertised price with incentives and rebates. And once I just told them that I wanted to lease the vehicle and not financed it. They told me that I could only leave it at MSRP which was total b******* Because I read all the fine print on all of the incentives.
Good tips, thank you. I think another good tip is to make sure you have had something to eat, take medications on time, etc. If you are distracted and hungry especially after being there for hours, this will make you impatient to get this finished. The biggest tool you have is to walk away. As long as you didn't sign that contract, you can end this at any time.
I just say no to everything. It’s actually in my customer notes that I never buy anything in the F&I office. The guy actually brought that up during my last deal😊

Dealers will grab all the money they can and dream up schemes to make as much as they can You have to be sharp to avoid there tactics of taking as much as they can from you
"The bank has stipulations" At that point, ask which bank "I will call the nearest branch and ask what stipulations they have for auto loans. I will put them on speaker so you can hear. Are they REALLY going to say they have the stipulations you claim?" "If they say no, the deal is gone, and I leave. I will look up the # myself, thank you!"
How come the CARS rules keeps being cited when technically it doesn't exist? Until the Judicial review and lawsuits are settled there is no CARS rule and the dealers can do pretty much what they want as they have in the past. So why bring this up when it's of no real impact to the behaviors?
I met an honest Car Salesman once upon a time at a dealership. Seen a new car I thought I wanted and he said I couldn't afford it forget about that car. I thought he was judging me by my after work dirty disheveled appearance. We went outside to look at something else and then he told me very privately that the car I had in mind was absolute junk. Nothing but problems. Problem after problem with them. I didn't buy anything that day from him, but I did keep him in mind for later. I do think that Old Car Salesman had some honesty in not selling me a lemon.
Here is something new that I am experiencing in El Paso. While looking around for vehicles. I put in area codes to search and zip code defaults back to El Paso TX. How strange
Here’s one for you! This was when I did a lease buyout in February 2024 at Boucher Hyundai. Here’s an email he wrote me after scamming me. And I quote: ”You paid a higher price to buy out the car at the dealership. You had the option to purchase directly from Hyundai. The price of purchase was $1000 more here at store level. I don’t know how else to explain this to you. We seem to be going in circles. Do you want to come in and go over the numbers again?” Finance Manager, JR Rauth, Boucher Hyundai.
There are leasing laws that sounds like they violated. They cannot charge you for anything that is not listed right on your lease contract. That's illegal.
@@KevinHunter Hi! Thank you for all your helpful videos! I wish I would have discovered you before I went to the dealership! Yes, it does absolutely violate my original lease agreement. They also added in to my loan $1105.48 sales tax that was already included in the buyout that Hyundai Motor Finance keeps telling me was already included and does not get paid again. Here’s an update: After I pitched a RELENTLESS ROYAL FIT for the last couple months, emailing them demanding answers, filing complaints (including FTC), notifying local media, writing ugly online reviews, Boucher Hyundai called their attorney to meet with me (less than two hours after I emailed the General Sales Manager that I filed FTC complaint) attorney called me Saturday, May 11, 2024 wanting to meet to discuss what happened at the dealership. He says he doesn’t know. I agreed to meet at a local hotel lobby/restaurant near my job this coming Wednesday. I want this loan voided and re-written by the credit union it currently is at, any extra interest I’ve paid on this padded loan refunded, and whatever statutory or punitive charges I can get to punish them. If I take them to small claims I’d sue for the maximum $10,000. If I’m threatened or not properly taken care of, I’m walking out. My Apple Watch will be recording. I’ll keep everyone updated.
I know that doc fees have been discussed in the past, and here in MN they just passed a new law that allows for increases in the absolute maximum of the doc fee. I think next July it's supposed to cap at $300. But, if that's the absolute cap, is there somewhere that we can find the absolute minimum per state? I know MN has one of the lowest doc fees in the country, and last I heard, it was $75. My wife went last summer and bought a car and they said that the doc fee was "increased" to $200, by state law. Which, I read what was passed in the state senate, and that's the MAXIMUM that is allowed. Is there some place where we can find the MINIMUM doc fees allowed per state? Frankly, when it comes time to buy for me again, I don't want to pay a $300 maximum doc fee, if I can avoid it, especially if the minimum is still $75.
I recently negotiated GAP and their first price was 1500. So I said nevermind, my credit union only wants 400 I'll get it there. They matched it but get this, the Finance officer lied again saying: "I have an idea, let me message GM...ooh wait... my screen is spinning... i think they rrsponded. Great news!! Since you have a disability they lowered the GAP to 400." lol
I usually trade in my car at the dealership. Something I'm co corned about now after seeing your videos. Fact is, my trade ins are leases. And also getting into another lease. Of course this practice is easier. However my question is am I doing it all wrong? I guess the plain fact is again...easier. My lease is almost up. Should I go with "we buy your car....." or Carvana etc? I feel if I did I would be out of a car in between the car buying deal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hello my name is Ron: I love your show. I have purchased vehicles before and I have had😢 some success. Recently I went to Sunland Park dodge dealership here in El Paso Texas. I went to look at the sticker price and get the vin number. Before I knew it sells men were all over me. I made it abundantly clear that I was was comparing prices all over the country for out the door prices. I gave my email address and all I get is vehicles sells going on. I have been asked for my address next time I am asked for my zip code until I make it clear for the 4th time is all I want is the out the door price or the bottom line. I finally told him that if he cannot provide me that information please lose my information.
@Kevin Hunter - Why are you trashing the hard working folks within the F&I department at the new car dealerships? As with all new car salesmen, all F&I guys are honest, reliable and there for you!
Wow, you've been taking some long sips of the car dealer koolaid, I see. All honest? Nowhere close. Most can be relied upon to be there for themselves ONLY.

Tell them to kiss your butt on the way out the door. No Toyota is worth the nonsense their slime ball dealers make you put up with.
"The $699.99 doc fee is mandatory, if I take it off for you & no one else that's descrimination" I laughed at him.
"Yes, but federal law requires us to charge the $299 air in the tires and free coffee in the waiting room fee."
They can deduct it from the car price and still show the doc fee on the paperwork so the dealer can still say they charge everybody the 699.
that is the law in some states, just back it out of car price. He actually told you the accurate truth that most all do not tell you.. Most say , the law says we have to charge it " leaving out that they can choose not to charge it ever to anyone..
Chevy dealerships still not going below MSRP here in iowa. Went from Illinois to Omaha. Even waited until the end of the month

Remember people! You hold the cash! Don’t let the bottom feeder (Dealership) hook your money! You hold the power!!!!!
They can lie all they want, I encourager them to lie if it makes them happy. I get my price or I walk.

Why do I see so many used cars that originate from New Jersey and New York at dealerships. I live in Illinois
Because all the lease returns from these states go to the auction houses that the dealers in Illinois buy from.
I wish I can find a private seller, this is ridiculous!!
Here is something new that I am experiencing in El Paso. While looking around for vehicles. I put in area codes to search and zip code defaults back to El Paso TX. How strange

What is a procurement fee? It is on a monroney sticker and I'm not sure what it is?

Check into our hassle free car buying (or leasing) process with Stuart Cooper. He does very well with leases.
Buy one, get one fee! or two or three or four or more!! This doesn't happen at Tesla, no dealers.

all this channel is about is financing a vehicle, still 30 percent of people pay cash for their new car
So they cater to the 70% of new car buyers? Can you blame them for choosing to help the majority? They have cash deal content as well.
