That shorts outfit, is an Australian school boy uniform...he use to come home from school, and be jammin' in that uniform, and his sister said, that if they ever got BIG, he should play in it, ...and he DID!!!...his Trade Mark =P
And the name ACDC came about from there sister who found it on her sewing machine then the boys came up with seperating ac and DC by putting lightning bolt between them
I heard it was because their management told him he was too young to be in the band?
Angus was 18 when AC/DC started....he definitely didn't come home from school and play in the band. He left school in 1970 when he was 15!!

@@bigdaddymojo2005 My point is that he didn't come home in a school uniform and play the guitar! Angus had lots of different costumes during the early days of AC/DC including a gorilla suit. The school uniform was chosen because he was comfortable and the band pretended he was a lot younger than he was. Angus was actually 20 when the 1st LP was released.
I have seen AC/DC 29 times in concert across this country, My favorite live band ever, Every song is a hit, And they have albums and albums worth of legendary music, Never seen a band give so much... Unbelievable.

I started listening in 1978 when I was eight years old. The school boy lives within us all from the seventies and eighties. ACDC is immortal and the very definition of rock music. The beatles are awesome, but these guys are music to work to, to get things done.
Seen these guys in concert. and let me tell you they are the loudest band i have ever heard in my life. I was tone deaf for a day and a half. I rocked all night long. Best band ever.
I was 14 when this came out. I'm old! It is just beyond awesome to see a younger adult grove to this for the first time! Welcome to the AC/DC fandom! Beer's in the fridge!

The story behind the shorts: The lead guitar player (Angus Young) wearing the shorts (technically a school uniform) is the younger brother of the rhythm guitar player Malcom Young. When Malcom started the band, Angus was in junior high school and wore a similar uniform to school. The band practiced in the afternoons when Angus got out of school. Angus was so anxious to get to practice that he literally ran home and started practicing without changing his clothes, so he was always playing in his school uniform. It became “a thing” and when the band made it big, Angus started having custom made school uniforms to wear on stage.
This is the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. For those about to Rock is by far one of the greatest songs they did.
Angus Young's headbanging, fleet-footed guitar playing is half the fun of watching these guys. He's a tiny bundle of energy.
Some people don't realize that though most of it is for show, he uses his feet to keep the tempo of the song.

I've wondered for years how the hell Angus Young can head bang so hard, yet still play so precise and clear. I know this is a video, but I've seen him do it live so it ain't BS.
When you are a true musician, it doesn't matter if you like the genre or song or band. You can respect any musician or band that puts their all down to their very soul into their music. It is such a subtle but obvious difference when an artist has thrown their everything into their art and it screams volumes.
Back in Black is the ultimate "stink face" song. Everyone makes that face during this song

A lot of young folks know this song because it was in the very first scene of the very first Iron Man movie. Us geezers know this song because it has been around since 1980 and cranking on the radio ever since. Oh, and this whole album is a monster! Not a bad tune on it. You will likely recognize Shoot To Thrill as well as that was also heavily featured in Iron Man 2 and the first Avengers movie.

The difference between rap and ACDC is that ACDC is still around after 20-30 years or so and rap fades away , thankfully.
That band is a force of nature...They played some tough gigs.... In fact, Australian rock bands were the hardest in the world. Tough crowds and often 8 gigs a week. The radio stations wouldn't pay royalties to overseas so all the local bands played the hits courtesy of friends like hostesses who brought the hit singles back on the plane! So Many Bands from Oz.
watching acdc live makes me itch, because brian Johnson fidgets with his hat so much that it gives me ocd chills.

Bon died Feb. 19, 1979, right after they released Back in Black, when he sang the song Highway to Hell for his mom, she begged him not to sing it, he died shortly after.
I grew up on AC/DC. There's nothing like a good guitar solo. It's therapeutic for me.

After seeing several AC/DC videos, I had to find an interview with Angus Young, the lead guitarist because I wanted to see what he looked like. In his videos he's just a fast moving blur!
It's really cool that you're going on this musical journey. It's cool that you're a new music artist (at least to me). I played in the same musical group for 35 years and we decided to part ways. Covid 19 has made everything complicated these days with the social distancing and all that, but I still enjoy playing. The guitar looks like a 1959 Gretch. They're worth a lot of money. They're hollow body. They also make solid body guitars that are a lot heaver. I remember when this came out in 1980. A friend of mine brought the record album over and I put it on my stereo and we cranked it. It still rocks to this day. Thank you for your reaction.
This band has two leads, the lead singer and lead guitar player, Angus. They are what we used to call in the day "bitchin'" (lol). One of the most riveting groups around. Still.
I've never enjoyed AC / DC so much. I'll say it again - this Lady's got game. Thanks for bringing a little joy to old, grumpy white guy. I even danced. I love this new generation. Love Y'all too. I'll check out your swag for my gal.

The Young brothers Malcom & Angus were short due to pollution in the water stunting their growth. They finished their last concets with Axl Rose singing lead after Brian had to retire due to hearing damage.

You heard right. AC/DC is blues based rock with a guitarist very influenced by the likes of Chuck Berry. And this track was one of the first hard rock songs with lyrics borderlining hip hop style. What a jam.

Although, he stopped using it on stage soon after, opting for his heavily modified Jet. Just a note for the uninitiated, the White Falcon in this video isn't THAT big, it's just that Malcolm was tiny!

Your 100% correct in Stiff upper lip being under rated, but so is that entire album.
"Sweet Candy" and "Stormy May Day" are songs from their later albums which are also good.

When Bon Scott died, it lit something in Malcolm and Angus and they wrote one of the most iconic Rock albums of all time. Probably in top 5 all time. My opinion.
This Rock ditty was written while Bon Scott was still alive.... there's a recording of him performing it. Google it.
