I'm nowhere near as good as you but i've been an Aegislash main since it came out and this is how i played it: - I run shedinja doll because it helps you get to the next wide-guard and survive in different scenarios - I run attack weight over muscle band. Slowing down your boosted autos increases the time between dashes which gives you more survivability and lets you get to your cooldowns more often
I've had a few ideas on how they can help aegis. For one, I think boosted basics in attack form should reduce the cooldown for wide guard. That way whichever form he's in, he's allowing himself to more easily flow into the other. I mused around with the idea of s on attack form boosted basics but I'm not entirely sure how busted that would be. Regardless, with psycho cut on ceruledge making you feel like paper and allowing him to essentially do what aegis does but better, I think sacred sword could use a spike in it's effect. Right now it allows him to ignore 25% defense for 3 seconds. I think they should spike that to 40 or 50%. Sacred sword+ can stay the same with its extra +50 attack. Shadow claw is a interesting one. In actual pokemon it does have a increased crit ratio but that's not available in unite until shadow claw+. So I think we take a page out of the garchomp rework from over a year ago and make shadow claw provide the increased crit on the base version and extend its duration to 3 seconds. Then allow shadow claw+ to either further increase that crit chance or alternatively, increase his crit damage. Wide guard needs to be renamed to kings shield. But other then that I think it's legitimately his most potent ability. You can straight up eat unites with it. Umbreon unite and true damage bypass it but that's fine, everything should have some counter play. I guess all I'd say is make the knock back radius on it a bit bigger. Iron head is a tough one. The idea is to be more reactive with it and try and stop attacks more frequently with aggression. But here's the issue. There's way too many multi-hit attacks in unite. As it currently functions, it will never be better then wide guard because wide guard is more universally applicable. I can't even justify using it in certain matchups cause even against say a snipe shot or spirite shackle, you'd still be better off with wide guard. My idea is this. I think letting it function more like zen headbutt/shadow sneak is the better route. Right now it's on a 6 second cooldown with a 3 second reduction if you block something. To lean into that, I think if he blocks a attack, you should be able to appear to who attacked you and stun them. This helps with the multi hit issue, adds some mobility to him and offers a genuine reason to justify a more single target iteration of wide guard. If you time it and block a snipe shot, Pyro back, icicle spear etc, you can pop up next to them, break los and ho right into your offensive option. A general stat increase would be nice too
I agree with the shadow claw buff to allow it to be an increase in crit rate on hit, but you prolly have to get rid of some damage to compensate. I also think aegislash's big issue is earlygame and upon these buffs i don't see a way to have an answer for it, so I'd just tack on like a rework to honedge and doublades ability and give it an additional attribute to allow it to be useful. One thing I'm thinking of is the ability making their auto attacks all happen in quick succession to give them better last hits or smth like that
Really wish it had a King's Shield form unite move. Big shield wall that reflects or absorbs damage and spells for a second or two and then faceplants itself to the ground to knock up enemies in the air. The damage of that unite move would also increase the more moves that were reflected/absorbed as a bonus

I definitely believe that it should receive a buff to its defensive stats in Sword Form, it has the same defense stat as the starter trio(Cinderace, Decidueye and Greninja) without their range and escape tools on top of being a close-range character. It's also got 174 Sp.Def at lv 15 AS AN ALL-ROUNDER, so you just get melted the moment you go on the offensive. Personally I find Aegislash really fun to play, constantly swapping between sword and shield form but other All-Rounders can do its job just as well without being paper-thin.
That's kinda the point of Sword form, even in the RPG games. Your means of scape are stunning with shield before dashing away with Shadow Claw. Or at least that's what I do but yeah, it doesn't do well in group fights.
That's valid. It's unite could swap between sword and shield stance. Sword stance would have shadow claw and sacred sword while Shield stance would have Wide Guard and Iron head. Either this or add a different unite move for the shield stance. Or just change the current you unite.
He has great 1 vs 1 but in teamfights hes way too stationary with wide guard, also getting hit by anything while you are dealin dmg in sword form means death, also his unite as you said just means death if used in the middle of a teamfight and its really only usefull for secure. For buffs, i would remove the self slow at the end of iron head, give his unite a diferent effect on shield form, maybe a direct impact way followed by a buff that makes you retain shield form defenses while on sword form for a set duration and thats it. i think both shadow claw and scared sword are fine.
I find a good way to use the unite is to stun your opponents right before using it. It requires skill and you have a small window but it's so satifying once you pull it off.

Honestly, Aegislash itself is alright. It's honege and double that's making it harder, you really can't afford getting behind in levels playing Aegislash and getting behind is super easy with honege and doublade in the early game. At least give them a functioning passive before fully evolving.
Not trying to sound facetious (just want to learn), but is there a reason why he passes up multiple free attempts to score? Like at 3:00. Then he goes four minutes just holding 50pts only to lose them all, which would have covered the winning difference. Are you just supposed to be focusing kills?
As bad as Aegislash is, I see a bunch of them show up in queue with me being one of them. Aegislash *cannot* carry, unfortunately. It’s very team dependent and if the team is bad Aegislash cannot do it on it’s own as it’s an enabler with it’s CC. I feel like the boosted auto’s need some more healing. Both defense and special defense stats should be the same high stat rather than defense being the highest as aegislash. The early game passive being reworked would be nice. The unite move, if not reworked, needs to have it’s cooldown reduced. One tip on the unite move, you have frame advantage after Sacred Sword (and also shadow claw, I believe). You can use this frame advantage to mitigate some of the unite move start up as the hitbox can be difficult to hit. Do not use the unite move exclusively or necessarily as an execute move even though it has benefits and the ability to do so. This tip is especially useful with Sacred Sword as it grants an attack increase while being a budget version of Ceruledge Psycho Cut where the opponent that was hit gets defense reduction allowing the Unite move to hit a little harder. So the combo is Sacred Sword/Shadow Claw through them in one direction and then Unite move into them in the other direction. The unite move gives you cooldown reduction which helps if you had used wide guard beforehand allowing you to cycle through your moves sooner.
2:16 he positionned himself juuust behind you to avoid getting bumped by your shield , the dash was after so it didnt really matter in this interaction . predicted :o
Part skill ussue and part aegislash issue. He just feels to squishy. Unite rework could be 360 horizontal slash in sword form. And a giant shield bash to the ground stunning enemies and restoring hp and giving boosted attacks with respect to the no. Of enemies hit. And a slight defense boost in swod form.
To be honest, if you say Aegislash is trash, then that is just skill issue. Aegislash is mainly center path, and for me i get like a 99% Winrate every time. Go to any other path and you are cooked. Aegislash is only trash if you use the wrong Moveset like Iron Head + Shadow Claw. All you need is Sacred Sword + Wide Guard then you've got yourself a ticket to win.
Aegislash worst all rounder nah as a Aegislash main Aegislash unite is hard to hit but if you know how to use it you can be the person with most kills like i got 23 kills
Too low hp and defences for an all rounder, that's pretty much it. Being shield form is still mediocre, and being in attack feels like you're as squishy as Decidueye for over half the game.
you might have the highest flat defense in the game, but not like shield form can do anything at all, no mobility besides boosted, basic shields are horrible, movement spd isnt that good, its just kinda mid- maybe give him 3s of a 25% movement increase after shield boosted
Yes, buff aegislash Increase it's unite activation speed (like they did with Lucario ult) Give it it's early game stats back Give it a wide guard cool down reduction (even one second is enough) Give it one more charged basic attack
To reply to your thumbnail, yes skill issue, %100. You really didnt know which path to go at 6:00, left the bottom base unguarded so many times for free enemy scores, you didn't really pick good battles and then proceeded to blame it on your teammates. You just lack experience with Aegislash, it isnt your main and thats fine, but at least try to get better at it before making a second video on how bad the mon is when you cant even play it properly. Just my opinion on the matter. I really liked the suggestion of giving it a different unite on shield form tho
Aegislash got powercreeped and feature creeped. Game is just super volatile and the level up system of mons like aegislash just don't work with how the game is nowadays. Its too fast paced and snowballey and unbalanced for a mon like aegislash to possibly thrive.
Skill issue. You're supposed to be sword and shield. Not sword and sword. You have to master your shield stance rather than counterattack. He can ignore all defense with sacred swords, but his boosted attacks should be stored in bursts.
Short answer no aegi is just horrible and has been for a stupidly long time- shield form sucks and even the factor it's the highest flat defense in the game doesn't change much when your just a sitting duck ready to be nuked the moment you come out, all I would do for aegi is buff his defenses in sword (it shouldn't be practically the same as cinderace), reduce the crit damage a bit to give him a higher attack stat (it's lower then sylv (yes the special attacker has a higher attack stat then aegi check db)), and give shield form just general dmg reduction

I think I’ve only played it once or twice. Maybe I’ll pick it up one day.
i know the armarouge had a comfey and was on t2 but they werent even fire spin how could aegislash not just kill it
Agegislash is my fav Pokémon
I dont have a problem with Aegislash, i love everything about swords and probably that's why haha, 84% win rate out of 43 games
I have played it and got 100k, definitely still strong if you play it well
It's definitely a skill issue coz....i'm smashing the rank with aegi lately 🔥
Then your opponents got skill issues
@@mimi_kyuwu here comes the real skill less aegi player.....cought you in 4k
6:19 that was so satisfactory for some reason
You are actually playing Aegislash correctly, except Aegislash needs to be with teammates more often. Like going for the objectives
yes
2:16 he positionned himself juuust behind you to avoid getting bumped by your shield , the dash was after so it didnt really matter in this interaction . predicted :o
Aegislash n machamp crying in corner in the midst of all rounders buffs
Machamp is actually pretty bad
I definitely see aegislash more than falinks (rip lil guys)
I've come to fix the win rate and master Aegislash, wish me luck
I loved Aegislash and still do but you are right it is unplayable in the current meta.
Build?
You know a Pokemon is bad when a streamer posts a video of himself losing with it…
Part skill ussue and part aegislash issue. He just feels to squishy. Unite rework could be 360 horizontal slash in sword form. And a giant shield bash to the ground stunning enemies and restoring hp and giving boosted attacks with respect to the no. Of enemies hit. And a slight defense boost in swod form.
slash starts falling off the moment i stopped playing slash rip
I have a 78% winrate ( I bought aegislash after i was a master)
In 60games
aegislash is only down because i stopped playing him fr
To be honest, if you say Aegislash is trash, then that is just skill issue. Aegislash is mainly center path, and for me i get like a 99% Winrate every time. Go to any other path and you are cooked. Aegislash is only trash if you use the wrong Moveset like Iron Head + Shadow Claw. All you need is Sacred Sword + Wide Guard then you've got yourself a ticket to win.
Needs a rework
The skill roof for Aegislash is so low for the effort and time you have to put in. Simply not worth it
But if you like to live on the edge, go on.
There will be not a single game you feel it is won
Aegislash worst all rounder nah as a Aegislash main Aegislash unite is hard to hit but if you know how to use it you can be the person with most kills like i got 23 kills
Hi Cris i love You ❤️
Too low hp and defences for an all rounder, that's pretty much it.
Yes, buff aegislash
Increase it's unite activation speed (like they did with Lucario ult)
Give it it's early game stats back
Give it a wide guard cool down reduction (even one second is enough)
Give it one more charged basic attack
Still lost😢
100% skill issue
Fr
To reply to your thumbnail, yes skill issue, %100. You really didnt know which path to go at 6:00, left the bottom base unguarded so many times for free enemy scores, you didn't really pick good battles and then proceeded to blame it on your teammates.
You just lack experience with Aegislash, it isnt your main and thats fine, but at least try to get better at it before making a second video on how bad the mon is when you cant even play it properly.
Just my opinion on the matter. I really liked the suggestion of giving it a different unite on shield form tho
Skill Issue
Aegislash got powercreeped and feature creeped. Game is just super volatile and the level up system of mons like aegislash just don't work with how the game is nowadays. Its too fast paced and snowballey and unbalanced for a mon like aegislash to possibly thrive.
Skill issue. You're supposed to be sword and shield. Not sword and sword. You have to master your shield stance rather than counterattack. He can ignore all defense with sacred swords, but his boosted attacks should be stored in bursts.
A shield when using the unite in shield form would be a great change. Also maybe a 1s cdr on sacred sword
Short answer no aegi is just horrible and has been for a stupidly long time- shield form sucks and even the factor it's the highest flat defense in the game doesn't change much when your just a sitting duck ready to be nuked the moment you come out, all I would do for aegi is buff his defenses in sword (it shouldn't be practically the same as cinderace), reduce the crit damage a bit to give him a higher attack stat (it's lower then sylv (yes the special attacker has a higher attack stat then aegi check db)), and give shield form just general dmg reduction
hey
Scizor best 🗿😤
Nah Scyther win
Ahh a button spammer
@@Nizomiddin-Jalolov7.Both are decent now I loved playing scyther tho
5th comment, record time 2 minutes!!!
I am proest in aegislash

Really hope the first comment is an actual comment instead of someone saying first
Hope is lost
3:41 what is lil bro thinking Cris is level 10 and he is only 7
