I'll admit, I learned quite a bit from this. I'm a SoloQ demon, oftentimes taking pokemon that don't normally carry and using my skill and knowledge to bring out the true potential of them. Draft is something I'm actually looking forward to, while its totally different from what I'm used to, I want to actually be part of a team. I'm kinda tired of SoloQ, just because I can only trust myself. I love the defender/supporter playstyle, but I literally can't play it in SoloQ, due to people always wanting to auto-attack to victory. I'm a strategist at heart, so the strategical side of team composition has always interested me. Thanks for the video dude! Bout time someone went over team comps, hopefully people listen.
I just love slowbro, my adorable little fist magnet. This boi is actual weaponized stupidity. He's such a complete doorknob that one of his moves is to simply forget that he's been hurt. I’d love to know this, too! Like, I know that the top path is more narrow than bot, and that the wild pokemon have less HP and give less experience than bot (so some pokemon can find it easier for stacking) but I guess as someone who has spent almost a year near exclusively in center & bot path (and on mons that do better there, apparently), I don’t see why that’s worth being near the less important objective :o Maybe draft games tend to stick with their lanes more often so both objectives are always being contested, and those roles are more advantageous for their respective objectives, or something?? Just spitballing.
I also feel like Gardevoir is really important to learn how to use. Mostly cause of its range and how much damage psyshock/psychic will do and ofc it’s unite cooldown.
Exp share is arguably the best item in the game, but we have to talk about it, and playing a defender or a supporter in a way that is realistic, not just idealistic. Yes, playing a supporter or a defender with an exp share SHOULD be a massive a help to your team, but often times it isn't, because the majority of unite players are stupid. Playing either of those roles basically just enhances and compliments what your team already has, and if what they have is idiots, then yeah, it's not gonna end well for you. If you have a good team comp and the enemy doesn't, you have a massive advantage, no doubt. And being knowledgeable about how to compliment your team's comp, and how to exploit a weakness in the enemies comp is a useful skill. But we all have to realise how unserious this game is with regards to the ranking and matchmaking system. You can play the best Blastoise or Slowbro game of your life, but if none of your allies are ever showing up for the bottom objective, then it was likely all for nothing, and chances are you have forgone a win condition you would've otherwise had if you played a carry instead. Until we get a ranked mode that is serious, we need to stop taking the competitive aspect of the game so seriously. And recognise that literally the only player on the team we can ever rely on is ourself. When did we start putting carries and support top path and defenders and early spike attackers bot? I thought it was opposite since there's more experience bot?
This is generally the strategy that pros have developed over time: All-Rounder/Support top is because all rounder benefit way more from the grass (which prevents auto attacks), and supporters are best next to your all rounder. The grass also protects supporters as well, so it really helps in ganks. Defenders, ADCs, and early spike attackers love the bot, not just because of the xp, but because there’s less grass and more open space. Defenders WANT to be hit, and most adcs/mages love having the space where they won’t get ganked as easily and assassinated . This has always been the case for awhile now, it’s just that timing promotes bad strats :/
@@elijahpark5344 Thank you for explaining! That's so interesting. It all makes sense, yet somehow I've never heard this specifically commented on. Well thanks to you and Spragels for teaching me something

Literally had a mimikyu hide in a bush at Ray and pinged "Let's hide".... And then I lost like 4 other games because people keep farming when ray is up
Bro got the things somewhere there but i think different regions play differently. Here where I play, its quite opposite and most team of 5 now have 2 players doing carries while 1~2 utility (be it attack or healer) and last is a free-roler or trainee.
Do you think Unite should specify which items work for certain pokemon? Or does it not matter much? I get Charizard uses Flamethrower which is a special attack in the main game, but putting glasses on Chard is not a good item pairing.

This is generally the strategy that pros have developed over time:
All-Rounder/Support top is because all rounder benefit way more from the grass (which prevents auto attacks), and supporters are best next to your all rounder.
Pokemon unite doesn't deserve spragels, this game is in the worst state possible(matchmaking, balance, trash devs with the worst penalty system) and this guy still making the best content.
Very kind thank you
Thanks for the video! Im getting bsck into Pokemon Unite and there is sooooooo many new Pokemon
Great quality video, really enjoyed watching it :)
What site is he using at the beginning to set up?
Literally had a mimikyu hide in a bush at Ray and pinged "Let's hide".... And then I lost like 4 other games because people keep farming when ray is up
Awesome vid jake!!
So you’re telling me all this time the recommendation for a lane for the specific lane is wrong! I always thought it was support bottom and tank top😂
This is perfect timing.. I was just thinking this last night.
Take a shot every time Jake says "Inside of Pokémon Unite".
My randdumbs Pokemon for every type
For all rounder : dragonite
Attacker : devidueye and greninja
Speedster: talonflame
Supporters : they never use any supporter even after begging them
Defender : slowbro.
Like they dont have anything eose except these and in my enemy team they got the best Pokemon with supporters and defenders
Felt compelled to click because you put Mew in the thumbnail, little did I know this was a misleading sign... Well played ser
Great video, thank you very much!
Lucario is toughest to handle... And its broken
I’m a Trevenant main. I make Horn Leech + Wood Hammer play like an all-rounder, lol.
Sorry I've played 3 games with Crustle and promised to never play it again so it can keep its 100% wr lol
If buzzwole is just click moves and it does crazy damage it's easy
You do need to keep in mind that you can't jump into every single fight and expect to win you do have to be smart when and where to jump into a fight and also keep in mind that buzzwole is very close ranged
Yes. So does every other Pokemon🤦♀️
@@jpraise6771 exactly my point
Buzzwole needs skills kid
@@aperson4543i see no lies told🗿
Please how do i get a crustle i have been playing the game for months and i still dont have one 😢
If my Blastoise went center I'd be pissed
21:24 not gonna lie i suck at blissey so badly I sold a tornament (with my friends) 😭
I hope draft becomes a permanent mode in masters. I feel like my teammates take it more serious
30:28 Nah that is one role that is not needed in an balanced team comp. one mage atackers or 2 none adc pokemon is pretty fine.
This is your new best video! ❤
Video is a piece of art for the basics that everyone forgets, thank you hope it influences people to have more diversity when is the time
I’m 4 mons away from owning the whole roster
@@ohcomeon1111 I enjoy the game, even when I’m losing with a handful of bums on my team, so I’d say a fair amount. Especially on holowear
