Petition to add Jake's stack counter in the game
I’d sign
Hell yeah man I would sign it all the way
That's a stack!
+1
Absolutely ❤
This is easily the most important video of this month. I really struggle with stacking, hopefully I can see some improvement now! ✨
Love this
Sometimes it's really hard. I had a game where the enemies in my lane were Zacian and Trevenant, and the other lane had Slowbro. Was effectively impossible to stack.
@@DelphinusVyse That's tough, hopefully you get better matchups sometime soon. I just won a match against a lane Trevenant, Zacian, and Clefable. I was running Jungle Talonflame with Attack Weight, Scope Lens, and Muscle Band and had Goal - Getter as my Battle Item. I personally suggest scoring only after you had confirmed there are no enemy Pokemon nearby or all Pokemon who was or is nearby have all been slain. That aside, divebombing enemies with Brave Bird Aerial Ace goes hard asf, it's actually just free real estate. You could easily get free kills on squishies or -25% bars with a good ol' 2 - 1 attack - 1 combo.
Stacking, stacking my beloved, as much as we may love stacking it isn’t fun when your lane cinder ints for stacks on their sp attack specs.
I just wonder how many cinders and grens had sp atk specs or leftovers before this new menu 🙃
i recently played a match with attack weight garde
Of course it’s a tragedy. That’s why I hope this helps.
I think it’s also very important to know how to play with a stacking lane partner. Too many times my lane partner will play forward and get themselves KOed while I’m stacking and all you need to do as the lane partner is play back, secure your farm as best you can, and look to help your partner if they’re trying to get out.
As someone who never plays the stacking pokemon, thanks for the guide
@@reuniclus9 I want to add to this, your jungle really needs to be aware of who is stacking and NOT take those opportunities away. A good jungler will come in, get the gank, secure the goal and let the stackers score all the points 1 at a time. Too often I see the jungler scoop up, get a second score for their own exp and then bounce. Their 1/4th of a level does not do the team any good compared to the 3-5 stacks your laner can grab.
Unite should add items that stack defensive stats or movement speed. I would love to see how those affect the game
I want a stacking item for attack range. each stack gives you a 4% boost to your range.
@@brentdyer395 to op maybe in decimals
@@brentdyer395 that would be crazy too. It would be so hard to escape from cinder or pika
like .1 would be almost too much
I think stacking tons of other stats would be fun
So glad you made this video. I have become Anti-Stacking over time because so many of my teammates have done it incorrectly (abandoning the fight to stack, dying on enemy base, trying to get their first stacks midway through the game) and I'm glad more info is being shared to the community! Good luck stackers!
yeah people lose too much to stack for sure
these kinds of guides may not be useful for me but i think they are important for the community so i make sure to watch the full video, like, and comment so hopefully anyone looking for information can find it. gotta make sure that youtube algorithm pushes these videos into feeds. thanks for the vids jake.
Thanks so much!
I wish unite had a better explanation for these very fundamental parts of the game
That’s what I’m for penguino 😉
This was super helpful. I usually hover between high vet and low ultra and people down here guard their tier 1 goal with their lives most of the time to start the match and push way to far when it’s broken so it was nice to see some delayed stacking strategies and tips to avoid pushing too hard.
Also my birthday is in October we are going to the arcade. Everyone is welcome.
I feel like stacking is sometimes game-defining and other times it’s like Dumbo’s feather, it gives you the illusion of making you stronger when it barely does. Thanks for the guide, I better change a bit my Gardevoir and Espeon builds and invest more in cooldown and Slick Spoon. Love your content man ❤
Don’t listen to him you can stack AND slick spoon on Espeon it works fine you get more damage and defense bypass
I'm definitely guilty of getting too greedy with stacking and get myself ko'd at a bad time. 😅 This was very helpful, thanks!
You are so welcome!
Since the new pre battle interface it's got better since now I know it my teammate is gonna stack or not, and help them if playing Slowbro.
much better I agree
Double stacking squirrel is my favorite. Consistent 100k damage taken and the damage dealt numbers are pretty good as well.
Jake you’ve been coming out with some helpful BANGERS lately man thank you!! Yeehaw!!
Love to hear it
Love how your opponents just let you walk by in early game and when I try to get early stacks I get jumped.
Lucario feels like he is born to stack : mobility to escape or score, decent bursts damage for secure, cc to knock enemies back, and it's passive (a shield and movement speed when under 50% HP) to escape.
This is one of your best videos. Love it 🙂. Fully detailed my gosh. Good content
Glad you liked it!
This is definitely one the best videos on your channel! In terms of educational content, these are the kinds of videos people must watch if they wanna get better at unite. Well done!
17:55 Sableye's job in early game is to prevent stacks, might as well get your own!
Great overall coverage, I would hoped to have seen more discussion on the actual decision point of when to go for it and when to back off. covering the situations of no defenders 1 defender weak vs strong, 2 defenders, and what your lane partner is doing.
Yeah there are so many variables that you can look at.
Incoming lane gren deci and cinder with their sp attack specs
I tried my best
so many people who are stacking run straight towards goal, get one stack and get ko'd. that happens, no big deal. however, they will come back and do it again. like they intentionally trade ko's for stacks. lane partner is 1v2 or 1v3 for bees and behind in level. that is not a good play. thank you for this guide ❤
Always played lane tsareena without stacking, I'm gonna try it with stacks now
Lmk how it goes
Double stack on tsareena
I want to reiterate the important fact you brought up to not die early for your stacks. Being down a player in lane can give your opponents such a huge lead on you, stealing all your farm, scoring on your goals potentially overstacking that first goal etc can put your team in a very difficult situation for a comeback. I'm guilty of this at times, because those stacks are so juicy it's tempting, I know. Stack smart 💪
Great vid! I do stacking on my tyranitar with attack weight and am full aware that I am not able to stack early on but be able to flip the game to my team's favor near the end. I am able to fully stack around 5:00-4:00 and win a team fight at Ray or able to defend in case the opponent team gets it (thanks to its true damage). I have won battles with it and I am happy with my build.
I love these guide videos, I wanna see one about rescue hood soon, I feel like that item is pretty niche
Yeah I’m working on it
Ive been playing a lot with double stack goodra, running Spoon, Cookie and Specs with a green/white emblem page. Been loving it, the sustain is insane. Used to have a focus band over cookie but i end up finding ways to heal often enough, id rather max out the HP pool and handle it on my own. Also helps Goomy to get to Goodra easier with such a stat boost.
Yeah stacking Goodra has been fun for sure.
When you KO an opponent near their goal and they drop all the aeos energy 😈
THE BEST
Thanks Jake, it was a great video.
Playing pokemon unite is not complete without you❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
One thing to note is that 8 points seems to be the sweet spot for scoring in between a single opponents attacks. You can just mash x and you're basically guaranteed to score unless it's a decidueye or something
You might be right. I feel like it’s for sure under 10. I like to try and stack with as little as possible
I’m pretty sure that a fully boosted basic from rowlet can stop anything over 6. Also 6 is the breakpoint where a Sableye can’t take all your points off of you in early game cuz you’ll be left with 1
But if your reciving DOT from fire or whatnot it can still interupt
I feel like the sweet spot is actually at 7.
Any higher than that and the score speed decreases.
Sometimes it feels like my opponent can stack with 11, and I don't even get my 4 through.
2 tier lists in a week, spragels is having an extra case of the Mondays
Thanks for the great guide! I really only stack with lucario and decidueye, and it only ever really goes well with lucario for me.
Stacking flail-lax was fun during its prime, it was because of your guide I used Snorlax as my first try to stack (defender main)
Flail still a beast with full cookie. If they toned down the HP scaling on the ability I'd be worried. But they've never touched it and just keep adding ways to get more HP. Thinking boost emblems here. Can easily 3 tap any attacker in the game. X Speed is all you need on this mon to be an absolute terror. The ultimate can you bail you out of any situation or stall long enough for teammates to rotate. That and body blocking incoming ultimates with it, Talon or blocking machamp ultimate, feels so damn good. The addition of rescue hood has been a breath of fresh air as well. I hate focus band, I think it's bait. Swapping it out with rescue hood has actually been pretty nice. Increased healing from the upgraded flail passive, berry passive, and the ultimate. All Arounder Snorlax is bae
@@alexanderthegreat7474 yup, definitely agree to the x-speed, it always how i've been playing, I like guerilla tactics, in and out fast with good damage & sustain. May experiment on health emblems soon based on yr suggestions, thanks.
Too bad is kinda not viable at all right now with everything slowing and stunning you every second 😅 Lax in general is struggling a bit now because of the lack of damage Slam/Block outputs, still a beast until around the first objective at 7 minutes. But right now defenders are more like tanks, the two main offenders being Slowbro and Trev which are extremely sturdy bruisers, Goodra, Blastoise and Mamo are good too, but they take a bit more time to be 100% online.
@@kindredzpirit6046 yup agree with yr point as well... No longer can you hard push with any defender like before, and yes trevenant & slowbro still amazing, they're perfect where they are at
Everything is viable in soloq ranked. If it was a tournament or a scrim against a team yeah then we're talking viability.
This is quite helpful to be honest, I'm a returning player and was already wondering how the stacking items worked. Thanks for video Spragels! I hope many more people will come across this video, those small knowledgeable things can turn a whole match around
Spragels is the best teacher of unite its great you still make these videos
love to hear it
One thing that can be helpful for stacking is that if even one of your allies is at the enemy goal you are scoring on, your scoring speed Increases significantly.
So it can be a good strat to have a tanky AF partner stall at the enemy goal and keep the enemies from getting to you while you get a couple of stacks on that same goal and then both of you can escape once you get a few stacks.
Kinda risky but I think it should work with a partner who is very tanky in early game
Items to recommend when stacking are….. Score Shield, Goal Getter, X-Speed, Full Heal and Eject Button. Having the added security of SS allows you to safely stack without much worry, while mobility items like X-Speed allow you to escape certain situations you otherwise would not have been able to.
Hello, Jake, I watched this video last year and it helped me a lot, I even have a written version of this guide, and I was wondering what are your thoughts on the new pokemon that came since you uploaded this vid? for instance, I don't see lapras, umbreon, and the ones that came later, are you planing on doing like an updated stacking pokemon tier list or something? I think it would be great, I loved this guide btw, I happen to watch it every now and then bc sometimes it's hard for me to do it during a match. Thank you in advance and for your great videos, love you!
Thanks for spreading awesomeness on the community and telling them to not double stack
Been trying to find ways to up my game and guides like these are huge. I had a fantastic game with Azumarill today but my Gengar matches have been struggling. Many factors contribute to a game of Unite of course, but putting more focus into stacking with Azumarill and thinking about something else with Gengar will be a big help I think, thanks for the vids!
22:35 i do have to disagree with stacking with Zeraora. zera with spark wild is excellent with attack weight, it makes up for its super weak late game levels. Untarget on wild + the ability to transfer to another pokemon makes damage huge for it and pretty much secures kills with two spark one wild, leaving a spark for escaping. I run Attack weight, Energy amp, Focus band, and have dominated matches.
As a follower of yours since I started playing back when the game launched, this is my favorite video of yours! I’ve been tryna stack with defenders cuz I knew it had value and it’s super validating/illuminating to learn that I was right and still had so much more to learn. You’re the best Jake!
Blastoise and Trevenant can become offensive Juggernauts pretty quickly like that 🙏
I remember thinking these items were bad at first but then I started seeing Lucarios one shotting people.
Oooh! I remember talking about this with you! Glad to see it come to fruition
Love the way you presented this info and definitely will make a difference for how I build in the future.
Glad it was helpful!
@@spragels Bruv, you brought me back into the game. Thought I couldn’t enjoy it but you showed the way. Also like the new changes even if they start out over powered. Wondering what you think about “Filling” for ranked and what the best Mon for solo carrying is? Found I get into defense a lot and just default to Snorlax cuz he is almost always viable!
thank you for the help i didn't know what stacking was in pokemon 🤩
Triple Stack Urshifu is what we need to beat leftovers specs charizard
I recently started trying to figure out stacking so this is really helpful!
Thanks a bunch for the easy to understand explanations!
No problem!
@@spragels oh, out of curiosity, recently someone recommended to stack on Zeraora to me, but now I see it on D Tier here, why is it so bad with it?
Getting fullstack with Deci and the right build can provide some insane 4k hits.
It’s great for damage but I don’t think you need to play that way. It’s so high risk given that you have no mobility.
For a second, I thought you meant "stacking" as in stacking neutral creep camps in dota, and got me excited thinking this was somehow possible and I completely missed it. Would be cool if they added that to Unite.
Thanks for explaining
🤠
Thanks Jake,I really need the stacking guide.
great!
Hey Spragels, love the video! I play Decidueye a lot but I don't use the objectively better build of Spirit Shackle and Shadow Sneak. I tend to run Attack Weight, Scope Lens and Muscle Band and the reason I like the Attack Weight is because it directly affects how much damage you deal with crits from the scope lens! Since Razor Leaf shoots out an insane number of basics to multiple enemies in range, it gets so fun :D
Dev should add this into the game. Info about pokemon more. It would be useful for players.
For some reason I never clear center that fast on dodrio 😂
It can be slow for sure
This was super nice! I stack all the time, feel like I’m aight at it but a reminder that it’s not always worth the risk is great to hear.
However, I think a large portion of the player base doesn’t fully understand how it works, why it works well, etc. So this video seems suuuper helpful in that regard.
Love u bb, thanks for the great vidz 🔥
Love that!
That's a lot of birthday partys Jake's got to stack.
I love this very much, it's very informative and useful, that fun moba term moment was great too
This is such a quality video! I’ve been playing day one and even I learned something. Great video Cowboy
One of the most useful videos of this channel... and this channel has a lot of useful videos
Very kind thank you
Teaching videos are my favorite ones, thanks so much for your work Jake
THANK YOU
Seeing your allies' builds is actually stress-inducing. Has anyone else been playing with Charizards equipped with 1 item (leftovers) only? Or Tsareenas with 1 item (Choice specs) only? Seriously, it's every single game. How on Earth?!
Shell bell , attack weight ,leftovers , potion gengar is the new meta 😢
Thanks for this, I had no idea what stacking was.
This is an informative video, thank you for the quality content Spragels.
I'm a returning player (last played a year ago), so it's interesting to see how stacking items are kinda meta now. Great video : 3
My girlfriend used to say stacking was absolutely necessary with Espeon. Then the spoon came out. Now she can happily farm the safe mons.
Take a shot every time he says "stack" haha
Slowbro scales amazing with special att and HP I do love double stacking with bro and he has the defense and heal to stack safely
I found assault vest with amp and buddy really helps you poke and run. When you do get pick out by a sp ark you have the initial barrier from assault to help on top of 51 spdef
I have also done the 2 headbands and weakness policy is balanced. Weakness policy and the red headband synergies and the heal you get from bullet punch is great
I use Attack Weight, Cookie and razor claw and believe me it's so good
Thanks for the info. This is the one that got me to subscribe.
That rocky helmet eldegoss must know something we don’t …
So helpful!!! Thank you!!!
Great video!! Love it!
Thanks Tyler!
I never stacked before. Perhaps I should give it a try
I double stack flail snorlax. I know it's crazy, but it's fun.
a general tip if the enemy on your lane have sableye DO NOT TRY TO STACK he will use theft or knock off
This was great! Could you also make a bit of a guide on how to play around stacking if you aren’t stacking? What should you do if your lane partner is stacking? Do you have any tips for defending against stacking?
I stack with espeon ONLY if I do stored power, cause it really needs more damage. Otherwise I don't stack with Espeon. I agree that psy shock doesn't need stacks, it already does a tone of damage, and it's also used for it's stun. But since store power doesn't stune, doesn't do much on it's own, it really needs more power.
I used to specspecs, buddy barrier for the biggest wiggly unite shields. Now I just don't play her
Haha
Am i the only one that wants to see a defensive stack item? Something that could raise both Def and S. Def, especially with this current meta that’s littered with special attackers not to mention Zacian decimating everything. Maybe even a rework of rocky helmet that can increase the effect with each stack.
As much as I know jungling with dodrio is really good I prefer to lane to get all my stacks in early.
I usually like that also
@@spragels Yeah there are times when I'm stuck jungling and I hate it because it just takes to long to clear the first go around. Just something ya have to deal with sometimes.
I never really stacked anyway, as I main support. I find my gameplay is more intentional, and role-focused. I main Wiggly, with 7 pink, 2 white, 2 blue, 2 purple, 2 green, and Buddy, Focus, and Exp Share. My usual average is 3-5 kos, and 10 plus assists.
Wuuuu stack video!! Niceeeee Jake👌🏻
Perfect timing, I just got trevenant and I am having immense skill issue double stacking
amazing video! thanks for sharing
Honestly like defenders are good with stacking and like I use and Pokémon that do like something special are good with stacking like trev or greedent aoes cookie is really good with them cause more Hp and more healing they get and making them more tanky so they can be a good defender and most dps use stacking yo be stronger too and like sp attackers you’ll use glasses cause attackers don’t really have a lot
In the gym working out and see the guide appreciate your hard work Jake #YEEEEEEEHAW
I personally LOVE stacking with espeon. But she’s also extremely powerful rn..
Well now understand the game more than before
“Can buy not need to” tier is funny
I suck at stacking g so I'll keep this in mind
I wish they'd give an option to have detailed mathematical explanation of pokemon in the game.
You're my go to guide for Pokemon Unite
Playing sableye with Aeros cookie and weight, using thief on the enemies goal spot, i can it 6 stacks in 7ish minutes
I love float stone double stack on sableye
Thank you for your guide. I learned so much from your videos.
darling come here jake just posted
Haha
@@spragels always love your content jake. You're my favourite youtuber😁
Shoulsve gone morenin depth with the why nots. Considering how much time was spent on the shoulds
