This video is so well done. I want to hyperventilate and type gibberish to compensate for the lack of appreciation that your work is getting. I won't, but my heartrate is raised in excitement of how damn cool this is
No wonder I had so much trouble transforming my models, I always started with the robot and worked backwards. Only really worked with a few models, the rest ended up very janky. Thanks for the tutorial, I'll definitely be using it!
you make it simple. I was bored of watching other videos like this, I stopped after a while to watch, because I found them so complicated to understand, until I saw your video. thanks, you give me some idea.
So not gonna fault anyone for not making Bayformers. I'm not entirely sure that the over-complex transformations there were a win in any way. The robots ended up looking a little too messy for their own good in my opinion. I understand Bay's reasoning for making it more complex than the original angular things, but he kind of forgot that, one of the charms of the Transformers has always been a moderate amount of clear vehicular mode kibble. As in, a lot of the shifting and shaping should happen under the car parts, out of sight. But that's just me. Anyway, great animation here! :)
That's true, and I think it's why so many people like Ironhide's design, as well as Optimus and the original Bee from the 2007 movie. They've got the details but they have the TF hallmarks with the door wings and chest lights and that kind of thing. I still love dorito scream tho
Absolutely awesome and how amazing is it that a free piece of software running on home hardware can make the kinds of characters that so inspired us as children? Thank you for sharing. I hope to be able to use this some day.
i've been 3d modeling for a while and ever since i got into transformers i've wanted to try my hand at modeling them. i have a couple of times, but just the bot mode. i'm not great at hard surface modeling so even just that has been a bit of a puzzle, but i've been scratching my head for months about how people manage to make rigs that can actually transform.... somehow it literally never occurred to me to just ! model the vehicle mode first ! so thanks for introducing me to that remarkably simple breakthrough. who knows how long i would have puzzled over that otherwise LOL. you saved me a lot of headaches
Very nice video and explanations. Nothing wrong with G1 for sure, but if you wanted to go more realistic without going movie then I'd suggest looking into the Transformers Alternators series of toys... 100% realistic vehicles with interiors and still manages to accommodate all the transforming joint bits.
"For beginners like myself" bro you have 1 year of experience, you can probably call yourself intermediate at least considering that your work is really cool
İ used to do this in 3d builder. İ used to download random vehicle models and just do whatever the hell i wanted to do. İ am so glad that i wasn't the only one doing this
I was just thinking about a Herbie Bumblebee about an hour and a half ago. I was taking a nap and dreamed about it. I don't know why, but that's irrelevant. You did a fantastic job in this project. 👍🏻 I would like to see this built as a toy, just like the real Transformer's toys. Your design looks soo much better than the originals though. You should be a toy maker. Create your own brand of these. I'd buy them, even though I ain't no kid. It's the artistry and imagination of it all that is the attraction for me. 👍🏻 Are you interested in building your own line of these?
As someone who also does 3D modeling using blender as well as other tools in a huge Transformers fan this is ,sick good shit, and you got a new subscriber
It's very smooth, although i kinda think some parts feel a bit off. I think the wheels should fold in earlier than what you showed in the final animation.
When I visited the Celebrity Hotel in South Dakota, where a plethora of film props are stored in a museum-like setting, I saw one of the Camaro's used the first Bayformers film in the same room as Herbie. I was wondering why they were hanging out together lol
So it is possible to cut parts of a 3d model and reposition them. Along with putting a skeleton. Robosen and Blender (software) are not as different as I thought. Reminds me of that South American guy who made a transforming ROTB Bumblebee
Thank you algorithm for making me find this video ❤. Next level 😂😂😂😂 Fkinggg. 3:52 "attach bones wherever you want to" 😂😂😂😂😂 i laughed out loud and i got thrown out of the house
You could had used KO(Knock Off) 3rd party NewAge G1 Transformers. Their g1 toys' transformation is considered MP(Masterpiece) quality. Thx for making&sharing this video. There's enough NewAge video reviews showing how the bots transforms.
any chance you could make a tutorial on how to make transformers robot models with interchangeable parts?? like make a megatron and optimus that you can change their parts with each other?
this is great! ive tried it and it works really well! but i dont know how to transform it back into vehicle mode, every time i try, it just grows and floats. still, thanks!
what if i want to animate hexapod, which firstly transforms from "idle" to "action" pose, then it walks like spider - do i need to animate moving leg parts without rig (just objects) and then fit rig to "action ready" pose? or should i just rig it from the beginning, and use rig to animate both transformation and walking? i mean what is the easiest way?)
hey can you halp me to make a transformers fan film i try to make the models but they are not that cool so can you make the models to it please i will tell that you make them

best comment ever seen ahahhahaha hyperventilate jezz man hahaha
Dude this was awesome, I've been trying to figure out how to model Transformers in Blender and this helps so much to visualize
Happy to help, good luck!
One *year* of experience
This is insane quality for such relatively little time spent in blender
Instant subscriber!
No wonder I had so much trouble transforming my models, I always started with the robot and worked backwards. Only really worked with a few models, the rest ended up very janky. Thanks for the tutorial, I'll definitely be using it!
So underrated! the animation and models look great!
you make it simple. I was bored of watching other videos like this, I stopped after a while to watch, because I found them so complicated to understand, until I saw your video. thanks, you give me some idea.
Absolutely amazing, the video at the end is perfect with every detail great!
I intend on 3-D printing soon, so regardless, I just like seeing the stuff I’d love to make my own transformer to 3-D print someday.
This has helped break down and visualize the process so much. I've staring at my screen for hours wondering where to even begin, great video!
I've instantly had to subscribe, this has really helped me get my head around how to approach this, thank you!

This is master piece, and way more fun to watch and play with than the ones in movies
Dude, the transformers in the intros are 👌
I will keep this in mind... I've had a G1 style OC in my mind for a while now and have always wanted to animate how they'd transform,,,
I had something in mind too but idk how to do this unfortunately
This is the best blender tutorial I have ever seen, basic knowledge of the program is required but I felt like I understood everything you did! 10/10
came at the perfect time, I'm wanting to try and animate G1 style transformers and was about to ask a buddy of mine to help me learn blender lol
Absolutely awesome and how amazing is it that a free piece of software running on home hardware can make the kinds of characters that so inspired us as children? Thank you for sharing. I hope to be able to use this some day.

I want to try how to do this for the Apple Vision Pro. I got chills during the final tender with the sound effects and music. Wonderful work!!! 🎉
Very well done! Might even tempt me to make my own transformers.

This tutorial is amazing! Getting back to learning blender this year after upgrade my computer and one of my goals is to make an animation like this!
Man, I really want a herbie transformer, love what you did here.
Woah, this looks so cool! I’ve been thinking of trying to model transformers myself, this will definitely be helpful for reference.
Masterpiece and masterpiece style can explain how parts go inside without mass shifting
I wonder why that hasn’t been done in the Transformers Collaborative line. It’d be so ingenious.
Amazing transformers tutorial 👍👍👍.Thanx for sharing your impressive skills
I just learned how to model a Donut in Blender, can’t wait to up my game and do transformers!

Ah man this tutorial on blender is great for beginners and advanced who are into 3d software. Thank you for the food.
This is how I make my gmod tf models from now on, start with the alt mode then fit it with the body
As someone who also does 3D modeling using blender as well as other tools in a huge Transformers fan this is ,sick good shit, and you got a new subscriber
Herbie as a transformer would cause so much chaos 🤣
u make it look so easy, and i have ab 2 years in blender
5min video = weeks of work
Wow, the quality is impressive, now make a Michael Bay transformer😈
It's very smooth, although i kinda think some parts feel a bit off.
I think the wheels should fold in earlier than what you showed in the final animation.
2:30 every third party company: are you sure about that?
One of the best video RUclips Recommended me 👍✨
Your animations is so cool I like it I like your animations
When I visited the Celebrity Hotel in South Dakota, where a plethora of film props are stored in a museum-like setting, I saw one of the Camaro's used the first Bayformers film in the same room as Herbie.
I was wondering why they were hanging out together lol
> Just one year of Blender
Me, Blender for more years.

Can you make a funko pop into an ordinary transformer where the head is the body and the body becomes the head
heyy amazing video! how did you learn blender? what sources did you use?
Transformers present: Transformers crossover
It would be incredibly hilarious if you used that goofy transformer sound at the end
More than meets the eye.
I dont really know how to use blender, lowkey lost me at the headlights and all that. but ill for sure be back once i learn the basics!
that looks awesome WD
Transformers are cool

Thank you! 😊
I’m just now starting blender but when i have enough experience I will be making the pea mobile 0:24
That was amazing!
Thank you bro I always wanted to make a 3d transformers
Now THIS is animation
Amazing man, you are amazing!
I feel like someone will look at this and use it as reference to make their own 3D printed Bumblebee toy.
That's really cool!
Herbie G1 is Canon And is a transformer noice!!!
I tried to do G1 before and I could t get right thankyou for this video
Noice!!
You should do a more detailed course on this, I would pay whatever it takes
Not me getting stuck on the knife part unable to separate these parts lmfao
Can you be more detail about how to make the gun appear ?
Should make it resize or something ?
any chance you could make a tutorial on how to make transformers robot models with interchangeable parts?? like make a megatron and optimus that you can change their parts with each other?
this is great! ive tried it and it works really well! but i dont know how to transform it back into vehicle mode, every time i try, it just grows and floats. still, thanks!
do i just reverse the animation to transform them back. would you recomend keyframe sequences by chance??? just asking thats all
what if i want to animate hexapod, which firstly transforms from "idle" to "action" pose, then it walks like spider - do i need to animate moving leg parts without rig (just objects) and then fit rig to "action ready" pose? or should i just rig it from the beginning, and use rig to animate both transformation and walking? i mean what is the easiest way?)
How do you find the vehicle mode references? Having issues with that right now. Amazing video though, thanks so much!
I plan to get back on blender but my computer can't handle complex projects, which is why I plan to build my own PC.
3:28 ah you just had to add him
Great job !
I Love this characters
The love bug Herbie
I can't wait to get a powerful enough computer for blender! My Channel Is Gonna Be LEGIT!
from futuristic gun to morita mk1 from starship troopers, kill all dem bugss
i added a skeletal rig and some inverse kinematics and now even tho i keyframed the vehicle mode its an absolute mess???
That weapon redo is the Halo BR 😭
(Context: I know, the og gun he shown in the pictures inspired his design and the og BR from halo, )
I… I liked the blaster. RIP og blaster
How how do i use the rig to transform it back into a robot
Imagine power-glide as Amelia Earhart plane
this is cool, this is damn cool!
He casually made Opthomas Prime 💀
So beautiful
u strink the limbs when in car mode?
when i try to do it i can't separate how you do.
hey can you halp me to make a transformers fan film i try to make the models but they are not that cool so can you make the models to it please i will tell that you make them
