She has prodigious technique & memory. Her ability to execute these complicated arrangements from memory is impressive, inspiring & entertaining. On top of all that... she has great taste.
Keith was a pioneer and showed a new direction for music and the technology available at the time. Rachel is a rare gift. She embodies the music, and recreates those magical moments to perfection. I am in awe before your talent. And thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Can't find the words to explain my admiration for your work, talent and soul. Keith's spirit still lives in your fingers. I close my eyes and I hear him playing Brandenburger... again. God bless you
I still have the original vinyl album from when it was first released - one of my favourites - this was outstanding Rachel and is keeping Keith's memory alive - well done.
I was much younger and didn't know of the Nice until I developed such a love for ELP. Thank goodness for the record stores! Bought everything I could get my hands on. I still have all of my vinyl collection including everything I could get ahold of with the Nice. Wouldn't trade or take anything for them. Keith Emerson introduced me to classical music through his interpretations of what he played. I miss so him so much, but this young woman keeps his memories alive by her phenomenal playing. We are fortunate indeed to have her.
I was told as a student at Pre-Med and in Chiropractic that it is the brain that controls the body. I followed a course that said it is the body that controls the brain. Watching and especially hearing Rachel create music, and knowing that she is living a life with an advantage I never had. I was told to move my lips and never make a sound in choir practice. There were musical teachers that made me handicapped in my life. I have always loved music, and watching and listening to Rachel brings out feelings that no other musician has been able to even come close. What a talented woman. Merci.
Great Job! I saw The Nice Twice at the Grande Ballroom In Detroit Michigan from the front row! Keith rode his Hammond across the whole stage, Yes He Rode it standing on it rockin it in any direction he wanted to. Rondo 😎
I bought "Ars Longa" when it was released and know it intimately. Rachel, your interpretation is SO beautiful because it captures the spirit and feel of the original. Please please please post your entire Synthplex '22 set which I had the pleasure of attending. It was sheer magic!
Rachel, Keith ( and J.S.Bach) loves you.. i swear..you aresome, thanks you show and share us this Music.. see it a second time, and i cry. With so many love from northern germany
I have played and composed music for the past 56 years. Over this period of time there are two musicians who would literally scare the daylights out of me if I were asked to do a collaboration. Rachel takes First Place every day of the week! For the record, Second Place goes to Dean Ween of Ween.
There's no words to describe your mastery, grace and feelings playing these immortal songs. Thank you for keeping Keith's music alive at this high standard
I can barely do one thing at once and I am watching 2 hands and 2 feet working independently plus she is planning and contouring the sound. I am in awe!
I watched some of this in super-slo motion on a video studio rig and her fingers were STILL a blur. Doesn't really matter which piece she is playing, she never fails to amaze, always astounding.
Wow! Emmo has come back to us. This was the album by The Nice that for me personally, ushered in Progressive Rock. Another amazing performance by Rachel😎👍
I absolutely love the sounds your fingers produce Rachel. And I appreciate all of your hard work and the dedication it takes to be the master that you are. Thank you for sharing your work with us! 🔥🔥🔥🤘🙂👍💯💕👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Rachel, for bringing this piece back into the light. I haven't listened to ALVB in *decades* but this brought it back to me in a flash. I'm so glad you are in this world to bring so much joy and remembrance through Keith's music and your own. I know I said it back when I first heard Rachel play "Tarkus," but *get this lady a drummer!!* Carl Palmer, where are you?
Rachel's 11/28/20 Progstock Moogvember performance was, as usual amazing and unforgettable. We're always left wanting more, so thank you Rachel, Jeanie et al for this bonus holiday gift!
