Oh~love it very much, thanks for recording so many sweet monuments, making me feel like we’re there now, so real, missing traveling everywhere as well🙁
The great news is dongxing is constructing high speed train system now connecting with nanning and fangchengang north , will achieved next year in 2021, so in future travling to dongxing is much convenient and easy . :))
I read from news that there will be a highspeed railway from Dongxing to Fangchenggang built soon completed in 2021. I am trying to learn some basic Chinese words for my first cross border trip to China after covid.
Fangdong Railway is planed to put into operation in the end of 2021, 200km/h, National Railway I level, Two-Line electrification, Passenger and cargo mix intercity railway, not an highspeed railway
I am from Kolkata, India. I crossed the border on 10 October, 2023 from Mon Cai to DongXingh. It was very crowded and almost an hour to cross the border.
@@curiousindian2712 No. Since I am an Indian Citizen with Indian Nationality I have to apply and got my China Visa before I start my journey from Kolkata. I went to Vietnam first, stayed there for a week and then crossed the land border to enter China. On entering China, the immigration officer stamped my China Visa. That's it.
Dong Xing has changed considerably since I was last there in 2004. The main part of the bridge, the river and the bus parking lot look much the same but the sheer volume of tourism has changed this small village. 20 years ago the bus would go through a PLA checkpoint about 45 minutes outside of town. On the other side of the Beilun river there were regular NVA motorcycle patrols. I enjoyed because back then I could set off fireworks in the street. The Australian SBS network had a program entitled "Global Village" which showed night vision of the sanpans that use to cross the river at night. A different world back then.
This was over a year ago so it’s probably completely different now. Id imagine there are also probably more recently filmed videos. Thanks for watching
Hi Jacoby! I really enjoy watching your videos! You have the needed sophisticated attitude, a gentlemanly refreshing personality that's MUCH appreciated!!! I've been to Nanning city, and Guilin mountains twice,, once in '06, and again in '07! I fell in love with a really lovely lady, Shen YanXia, and still deeply and happily in ~Love~ with Xia!!!! Thanks for your efforts to make some good entertainment and stirring up many many wonderful memories!!!! Cheers and God bless!!!! Sonny Cannon
Hi yeah I’ve been traveling in China for many years and haven’t had any serious problems. The language barrier can be a bit tricky, but people have always been friendly and helpful. Thanks for watching.
@@JacobysJourneys that was what I was asking. You reply to me made it seem like this journey is possible after covid but I believe there is no chance of a tourist walking through immigration at mongcai and if they do allow it, foreigner is sure to be quarantined on the other side of bridge.
do we need the other country visa just to be in between( the two security buildings)?, did you have a vietnamese visa when you crossed the border? Amazing video!
I’m not sure, if you leave china the only place you can go is to Vietnam 😂 So you’d have to just turn around and return to China or vise versa if you didn’t have the other passport. Yeah i had vidas for both countries. Thanks for watching!
interesting video! Thanks. Would you (or one of the readers here) know if it is possible to get a visa-on-arrival for Vietnam at this border crossing? I'm planning a bicycle tour and consider going south after touring in China. Thanks.
Fred Culver Hey, I’m not sure. I’m currently in the US so I’m not sure what the policies are now with traveling into China for each country. Thanks for watching!
@@JacobysJourneys yes. I left in February and was horrified to see nobody taking it seriously in usa and Canada. I went back to China and was the final foreigner to be admitted in Chengdu! I'm a resident now.
I always have a visa before going to Vietnam, like most countries. I don’t think they issue visas on arrival. It also probably depends what passport you have, so you would need to research that.
