Bioware have to release the character creator a week early like Capcom did with Dragon's Dogma 2, haha.
We get body tattoos, Vitiligo, two different types of eye color, glitter and so much more! WE ARE EATING WELL THIS FALL!
Cute glad to see these things make girls, gay/non-binary and men who are into tattoos happy all over the world (I mean this not sarcastic) for me these things are not important personally. I just want a good bodyslider, good face options, great beard options and of course good hair options and good physics which enables more armor variants cause of nearly to no clipping. that sounds great to me personally. Glad it caters different kind of taste equally (hopefully)

@@zales20 I don't think anything will ever top Origins for me. I'll say this is personal preference for me, but I just can't see engaging with these companions on the level of Sten or Morrigan. Especially with a dialogue wheel.
But yes, if the game is like what they are saying it is, I expect it to be better than 2 and Inquisition.

The CC sounds top-notch, which is excellent news. For me, their CC had me hooked when they said "long hair" and "body tattoos." It's the best kind of frosting heaped on the best kind of cake. :-)
They got me with body sliders and plenty more natural looking beard hair. Hauu it e is great too. Couldn’t care less for tattoos personally

Sounds awesome maybe we'll get a demo or something for character creator that hopefully will be able to carry over when you purchase the full game. That would be cool and save some time so you can just jump into the game. I'm not really awesome creating stuff in the character creator. I enjoy options and stuff. I try to be pretty basic but I love having long hairstyles and stuff
All RPGs should release their character creators as a demo, of which the created characters are loaded alongside Presets.
This may be a bit too ambitious to say but with all these new features, this may very well be the best overall Dragon Age experience I’ll have.

Geeze, I spent 5 hours once in a character creator, And that was WAY back on The Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion... and 3 on mass effect, 4 on Inquisition(then I hated it... stupid green glow, I wasn't trying to make my elf mage THAT pale... SHE ENDED UP CAPABLE OF GLOWING IN THE DARK.)
SO... With all the options listed here... yeah... Sounds like FUN.
@@matthewrowlett1564 oh I don’t deny that! If I only didn’t have to sleep, work, and do all those pesky responsibilities. 😄 I would put a lot more time into it, but with so much more options open I may take some more.
First 2 hours goes into downloading the game. The next 10 goes into CC.
Having 4 voices AGAIN for your rook is crazy! For those who don't know Rook isn’t a silent protagonist like BG3. Remember how cool it was to see your Dark Urge talking in that one scene? That is the whole game. They didn’t have to and they delivered.
There is that one hiccup where if you pick an Antivan Crow you won't have the right accent. But that is easy to weave into their backstory. Most Crows are purchased from a young age. So, Rook out of spite or stubbornness did everything he could to keep his accent for whatever reason. And that reason is the fun part: Is it to stay connected to his dead family? To heavily annoy his superiors? Both? There are many ways you could spin it, really.
I love the idea of them just doing it to piss off their superiors, then talking with the right accent everywhere else lol.
I’m still so sad that they’ve reduced the number of Companions that can travel with you from 3 to 2
Used to be a party of 4 - always - now it’s 3
That’s unfortunate because it means less party banter

BioWare has done this before. There was a character creator demo for Dragon Age Origins, and you could import characters from the demo into the main game.
I'm genuinely so scared of how much time I'm gonna put into this 😂 and I desperately hope they release it early like Dragons Dogma 2 so I can just play immediately when it comes out
Even if they did release cc demo I don't think we would be able to port the character into the game. How DD2 worked with it is so different because you don't need extra info at the start of the game unlike DAV with prev game choices.
@@zerada00 hmm I guess that makes sense? Though we'll be adding all the info about past decisions in the character creator itself, so it wouldn't really change too much. Or maybe they'll do something like how in mass effect all custom shepards had their own code so you can just copy the code into the full game once it's released
@@Akeyins I'm quite sure the decision picking happen only after clicking new game right at the start before doing any cc yet.
Tbh that code option would be very nice if they ended up doing that.

It would be smart if bioware released the character creator soon. Letting players create rook and get attached to that creation will up sales for sure.
it would be pretty strange to be part of necromancer faction but not know necromancy until mid-late game...i mean... wtf was your character doing in that faction as a mage if they weren't using their necromancy for all this time?

@@majordity7331 They need to get the Release Date out and if not Aug then Sept but after that there is only 3 Months left of the Year So 2024 is running very short on Time. So your Guess is as good as mine.

I'm beginning to see my Rook as either one of the Lords of Fortune or one of the Shadow Dragons. Playing a Grey Warden once was enough for me. The whole "You've got thirty years to live" in "Origins" (due to Darkspawn blood) was a bit of a turn-off.
Looks very interesting. I look forward to the excellent designs that other people make in the game and horror of my first attempt 🤣
I am still trying to figure out what I want to play as first. I have so many ideas! If I tailor my character to a romance, I have definite ideas, but I’m still torn on who to romance, dang it!
I always do the same thing 😂 I'm gonna make my first character with the idea that hopefully we can romance Varric because I will definitely pick him first if he's an option
Thank god for bulders gate and larian for showing other studios that rpg orientated single player games can still sell big if done properly
I can tell all these rpg elements like backgrounds were a last minute decision because I still see the cartoony MMO looking game they were making, glad to see they are at least taking steps in the right direction

Im very stoked at the prospect of finally being able to make my Inquisitor while making it look like she's grown out her hair a little bit - I wanted to do that for Trespasser, but none of the longer hairstyles looked right, the hair line was always off, or they just didn't look good. I tried to get a modded hair that looked right, but couldn't get it to work.

Thank you for putting all the info together into a short, cohesive video. Sometimes too many options gets intimidating. Especially if you mess with the mouth. I've had characters look weird when they talked or smiled because of this. I'm happy you can tweak it or change it at any time. I did read somewhere they said we'd get the character creator before the game was out if I recall correctly. Made me think of what was done with baldurs gate 3.

Bro the quanari grey warden mage!!!!!😭 I honestly fell in love with the lore of the quanari in inquisition. I always played an elf or human. Mostly human but I tried quanari and loved it big brute! And even stronger mage!

To me, a successful character creator is one where I can make a character and not feel like I need mods to get them to look the way I want.

I have no idea why we can’t transfer our game data from inquisition makes absolutely no sense. I want my inquisitor with the entire background of my play through be there, softened divine leliana, wifed up with Cassandra, Dorian with iron bull, sera with Harding, Morrigan the well drinker, Cole as a man, Cullen with out lyrium, and solas as our great friend and the fact that fen’harel can be saved as the inquisitor showed him a new path. Don’t think they are going to include all that in the customisation system.

I hope for the Qunari there are broken horn options for every pair of hairs. I would have liked to to change my horns in DAI to a broken version of them and act that when Haven was attacked an my inquisitor was out matched and one of his horns were broken to make it even more personal for him.
I'm so excited for this! I know I'll be spending hours in the character creator alone. I probably want at least one of each playstyle, maybe even one of each lineage.
I feel like at least 50% of us will start as a Grey Warden I look forward to bioware releasing the stats after release like they love to do :D

With 100s of options in the cc, it's going to take most people hours to create their characters so I hope we get the cc early and import the character into the main game so we can jump right in when the game is released
