Picked one up couple years back, Best Buy $399 open box labeled as "satisfactory". When I opened it, it looked unused, zero cosmetic issues at all. Super happy with the chromebook over these last couple years. Was looking at possibly getting a galaxy tab recently, but the 2 in 1 feature on this pretty much negates me wanting a full blown tablet. The 4k resolution is just icing on the cake.
Glad to hear your ding better . If you're ever feeling bad boil ginger ,onion , garlic , in a pot then pour it in a cup and squeeze a whole lime into the cup and add honey . For more you can add tumeric and cinnamon and drink it alot
I got mine in 2020 & didn't realize just how much is packed into it, 3 years later & there are still features I haven't used yet... Not crazy about how fast the battery drains & how hot it gets, but I knew that when I bought it. I also have the HP desktop for programs that you can't run on 'only Chrome', the laptop is mainly for when I'm out on the couch at night surfing the web & when we go on trips, this Chromebook goes with us. I also have a Bluetooth speaker that we take with us if we want a better volume. I do love that I can link my phone to it for messages & especially texting because I've always hated texting on my phone. The 'red' was also a big selling point ;) Yes, I would most certainly recommend getting this one.
I came across this review as I was considering buying a bb open box for $370. I have been aware of this device for some time, but just never could pull the trigger. I still can't apparently. it is just that for me it was a curiosity rather than a need. I know the screen will amaze me, but I would rather keep my pixelbook go with its excellent battery life and speakers then put up with the galaxy chromebook. I have a surface pro 8 with a good screen that has longer battery life.
Man the acer spin 713 was on sale for like a month at best buy for 529 I git it . And I gitta say the screen is beautiful 😍. The track pad is smooth . And the performance is top notch 11 gen i5 8 gn ram 🐏 model. I would love to see a comparison between the galaxy chromebook and the 713 that would make a good fight . The downsides of the acer is the camera is terrible I was really disappointed and no lie the speaker are very low 😢 I also use volume master so that makes it passable and if I need more I connect a Bluetooth speaker . Finally the battery is onky around 6 hours 😒 man that was annoying everyone said around 9 to 10 hours and I use RUclips for music in the background or to watch videos, Chrome browser , Google keep , canvas web app . And to make it last around 6 hrs I turned off Bluetooth and disconnected my phone .
I did see the sale but I was waiting on an even better open box offer. I remember you saying it was worth taking a look at it. I’m a stickler when it comes to speakers tho. I hate that they keep releasing Chromebooks with such weak speakers. I don’t always like connecting my Bluetooth speaker cause I like to carry the Chromebook to other rooms in the house. Too much work to carry the speaker too. 😂
@@yela57 yeah if you have time I definitely recommend when it goes on sale the open box prices go even lower so I never recommend paying for MSRP you know but yes I'm actually really just astonished that like even just laptops around hell even the MacBook Air $1,000 laptop has a 720p camera like my cell phone is just way better and I got a Pixel 4A the front facing camera is just it's just so much better I don't know why they can't fit it in or or why they don't do it but then again yeah there's a speaker so that's actually why I was going to go get a tab s 7 because it fulfilled most of my needs you know like great camera great speakers long-lasting battery speedy boot up time stuff like that but it really doesn't amaze me how they give such crappy speakers or cameras in even just $500 devices you know
@@cobaltblue5523 exactly! Even the tab s6 had phenomenal speakers and that one is even thinner than the tab s7. There is no excuse. I’m going to try to get all second hand devices at this point. Paying retail and being an early adopter just isn’t worth it anymore. I love my gadgets but goodness.
Hey Yela, How is your Chromebook holding up 10 months later? I have the original Galaxy Chromebook. It ran uncomfortably hot. Then, a few months after I bought it, the trackpad stopped working. None of the recommended fixes worked. On reddit people report the same problems even on the newer generation. I'd love to get a new one, but only if Samsung dealt with these issues. Would appreciate your input.
My niece has it now. She hasn’t mentioned anything wrong with it. I don’t usually keep devices around that long. That’s unfortunate if they don’t even last a year. I know my Pixelbook Go ended up having issues with the hinge. Chromebooks don’t seem to be built to last long term. Sorry to hear about your device. I recommend open box devices so that you are paying far less and it won’t feel like a huge loss if something goes wrong.
I bought this when it first came out. My first unit's track pad had issues that rendered it unusable and the fingerprint scanner didn't function. The store replaced it with a new unit. After about a year, the second unit's track pad started doing the same thing. It is back in the shop and they have had it a month. 😑
If just for movies get the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus (12.4 inches) as you just have the tablet with no keyboard for movies. The speakers are 100 times better than the Chromebook so better for watching movies. The kickstand is perfect and keyboard is fine in a pinch. I would use this Galaxy Chromebook for browsing and productivity. I have both 😊
I got it for 350. that's a very good deal... But the problem with this device is that the touchpad has a known issue... It stops responding when the device heats and this device heats up a lot. There's a fix which requires opening up the device and sticking copper tape on certain internal contact points. So I would say people should stay away from this one.
This is not a bad device I just have some problems with it the battery life is lacking compared to others, and the speakers. I wished Samsung would have put the s pen with s note features and you could syn with your account.
I picked one up as well for 450. Battery life isn't a problem for me. Excellent device, screen second to none. I can see having this for a few years.
I got the same for 349. Best purchase ever!
@@GokulRG how???

Can you add windows 11 to that Chromebook?

Do you have a link that could show which contact points should be covered? I dont want to give up on it yet...

Don’t buy it ! Your track pad will go out on you like mine did
I had two of them. Both of them. The trackpad went out on them
Yep my galaxy chrome book track pad went out on me too. Garbage . I’ll never buy Samsung chrome book again .
It is a steal for this one.
