I certainly wasn’t a transformer kid growing up as I only had two of my collection. So my knowledge of transformers is very limited and I hardly know anything outside the western audience. Thanks guy or such insightful information and no disrespect the only transformers what sparked my interest is these newer lines what came out in last 8 to 10 years when robots and vehicles resembled more what they look like in cartoon. However I did enjoy watching the cartoon growing up. Anyway great video buddy and thanks for the educational lesson

Was fun to make! Yeah for some they only got into Transformers recently, but thats the great thing about the franchise. Can get into itn any time coz it's so evergreen.

Excellent video. I still have many from the 1989 line. I believe that this year would've been much more successful with a North American cartoon series to market the toys. The gimmicks had a massive amount of potential considering that the micromasters were of compatible size with Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. The Micromaster bases are very similar to Galoob's Micromachines line. The Classic Pretenders were a great addition for those of us who were too young for the 1984 and 1985 releases.

Yeah i remember not being able to get many of the 84 characters and the 89 Classic Pretenders were great.
I do wish for 89 we'd seen Victory Saber on this side of the pond.

1:26, if only Machine Robo had an anime akin to Victory. T_T
2:25, this was a HUUUUGE surprise for me tbh. Didn't know they released these in Japan.
5:10, but for odd reasons, the movie wasn't released in Japan until Victory came along. That was the funny thing.
    7:04, thanks a BUNCH, Wheeljack!!
On a scale of ferocity, Dinobots are fierce, Monsterbots are worst and then Victory Leo who may as well be Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as an Autobot.
9:55, and to make further retro active continuity, Greatshot is INDEED Sixshot thanks to TF Legends manga years later.
12:33, he's well known for telling Grimlock to pipe down when talking to Primus in the Marvel Comics so he's got that going for him. Oh wait....I remember now, he's the one who beat the crap out of Bludgeon when Bumblebee lead him in that sewer. XD Now this kid literally has 2 things going for him.
    14:50, ROFL
7:29, there was a Japanese magazine that have him compare sizes to the super combo of the Sentai mecha - Super Turbo Robo from Kosoku Sentai Turboranger.
16:01, looks more like a He-man character to me and thank you for giving his name. I really wanted to know since everyone in the M Comics didn't call his name from what I recalled. That or I wasn't paying attention.
    Looks like Zarak has competition.
17:09, no doubt that gave the Marvel comics a reason to why none of them use their Outer shells after a few issues in.
18:15, the GIANT cockatrice of dooooom!
    18:20, ROFL
19:20, uugggghh. I'm still looking for his head and Drillhorn! X_X
    20:29, Grimlock vs these guys.
22:24, I think this was the one that was repurposed for the J-Decker toyline.
23:00, I love Storm Cloud and Whisper thanks to their WFC toys.
    23:46, cool sword.
24:19, he was originally going to be part of the original treatment to TF Victory and I can see why.
Not to mention, the Brave Series which kickstarted transforming robots and reinvigorating the super robot genre in the real of 90's Japan animation.

@@ToyKennections Just a pet peeve of mine about how our calendar works. There is no year 0 in our calendar. So the first decade is years 1-10 AD and the 199th decade ran 1981-1990. But 99% of the world doesn’t view it that way, so you’re all good.
