After a bit of a rough start, (my fault) this thing rocks! Glad I bought it. Accuracy is nearly spot on. No issues in reliability either. Get the whole kit, weights, buffer, springs.
Got my kit from DTT a couple months ago. It works like a charm and not a jamomatic. You don't get nearly as many dud rounds with this either. Clean your bore when going back to 5.56 however, it'll be full of the usual .22lr grit and grime. 👍
Great for training your optic holds at closer engagement distances. One example of using the 22lr conversion to get more reps is using the Trex Arms dot flinch target they offer on their website. Use a marker to doodle a point of aim/reference on the target. Shoot the dots at varying distances and see the effects of point of impact. Track the data.
Bulk .22LR @ roughly 5¢ per round vs bulk 5.56/.223 @ 40+¢ per round. I can see the cost savings value! Introducing New/beginner shooters to AR 15 platform & Short range training will be where it's worth it. 25/50/100 yard/meter or less you could work it but that 22LR is gonna drop very quickly past those ranges. I can see the distance/range argument already coming, so its really up to what people feel comfortable with and the distances available to them.
Just gotta ensure it's been well cleaned before using it from the factory. Mine didn't hardly function, failures to eject, stovepipes, failed to load etc. Once cleaned though it's fine.

This would pay for itself at the range, a great tool for beginners and a lot of fun.
Makes sense from a training perspective for reducing costs.
These are awesome conversion kits and definitely helps save money!
It would definetly pay for itself on the range training
Exactly what I was thinking 👍
Time to convert a few of my AR’s!
I can train in my basement with this thing.
Great kits and even better for teaching the grandkids to shoot American Rifle (AR!)
Stoked to have found this site

That's awesome!
Love your bullet point conversations, you can learn a lot.
I have one of these kits and it's awesome. Saves me money at the range and is really sweet! Thanks DTT!!
This is a cool tool. I picked one up a while ago. We are looking forward to trying it out at the range with our kids.

Exactly. It’s a great training tool in general. But if you have an optic that’s 1.93 or 2.26 it’s super helpful to get down your holds.
I have one of these and they are a fun inexpensive way to do some serious plinking.
Thanks for the info. This is planned as my next purchase, but that makes me sure I want one.
Very cool concept. Great way to save on range day!
Thanks for the info
Great for getting some enjoyable training without emptying your pocket 👏👍😊
I have been thinking about getting this, now I think I will.
This would honestly be absolutely awesome especially for training
Wow, this thing fires anything through a suppressor !!!!! 22Lr ,22 suppressor ammo, quiet .22, . mine even cycles CB and .22Short !
I put my conversion kit in an original 1964 A4, 1 in 12 twist barrel and love it.
Have not tried. Sounds interesting. Thank you.

Wanted one forever. Maybe I will one day get it.
These are awesome building a dedicated one atm
Always looking to save money.
Yeah with the ammo prices this definitely looks good!!
Never tried one of these. Might be worth a go. I'm thinking that it will especially help tame the rifle for training the grandkids.
Honestly worth it for training on the range although I will say needs to have more options to buy more mags
Awesome kit, I love mine.
I think that for ergonomics this conversion kit would end up being worth it.
Handy conversion.
