Updating earlier comment ... inspection revelated that o/s rear actuator had seized on (n/s was tight) ... rather than remove wheels I jacked rear and reached in from below as there's plenty of room. Soaked the actuator arms in degreaser then blasted them clean to removed hardened grease/mud, then loosened the 13mm retaining bolt/shaft a few turns and soaked them in WD40 several times ... a few taps with a rubber mallet relaxed the seized actuator then more WD40 with handbrake cycling smoothed the action until the actuator released fully on its own. Finished off with a squirt of medium oil and tightened the bolts ... job done. Thank you for the video guide, was going to bite the bullet and book it into the garage, much appreciated!
Larc your videos continue to help me again and again and again! First was the sliders of the side door, now its this... Thank god there is nothing on the engine... For now 😅
Great practical guide for identical problem on my Vivaro LWB camper ... looks like rear actuators on each handbrake cable have seized ... going to try and free them off ... thank you for the advice!
Thanks for your video. Good job but did you check if the two sliders on each caliper were free sliding? Because this is what usually break pads wear un evenly. - just something for your viewers 👍😎
Helpful video, thanks. What also struck me was the neat caster trolleys you used to swing the back round. Any information on where I can get a pair would be very welcome.
Thanks, glad it was of some use. I bought the drive on dolly's from CJ autos a few years ago. I had a look on their website ( cjautosheywood.co.uk ) but couldn't see them. Might be worth calling them if you're interested. Word of warning though - don't drive off them with the driven wheels, push it off, other wise they might shoot off backwards and smash a brand new windscreen you just picked up. Don't ask me how I know🙄. Cheers Larcs👍
@@lj5034 . I'm not really sure what you mean, but the threaded adjusting rod goes through the cross member, the anti rotation bush then goes on the other end, then I put on a plain washer and a pair of nuts. I hope that's what you needed? Cheers Larcs 👍
I just bought one off eBay years ago. Maybe something like this? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354379891994?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TeEhvJwDQ06&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=ZdXvL3CGQRW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I have no affiliation with or have used this seller, it's just one I found on eBay. Cheers Larcs 👍
Loving the videos, helping me with my van... or now just pointing out the problems I have tried to ignore. Just wanted to know what hubcaps you got and where from as they suit the van?
Glad they're helping 👍 I got the wheel trims off eBay, got the stickers separately, can't find them now, the listing has gone. The wheel trims are here:- www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FULL-SET-OF-4-x-16-INCH-Wheel-trims-Hub-caps-for-Vauxhall-Vivaro-16-NOT-BLACK-/233024544671?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Cheers Larcs 😃
The rear breaks need a lot of attention on vivaros. Calipers stuck, If you drive it unloaded. The cable is a bad construction and poor quality. I have greased the cables and the mechnical parts.

Thanks for your great videos. One suggestion. Take the van through a car wash with a bottom spray system. Makes life a lot easier for you.
Good idea, thanks 👌.
Cheers Larcs 👍

Another great video! How on earth did that bolt get twisted like that? Wow!
