Great review! I'm getting my rig setup for the 4K, filming my own work in the garage, so being able to manipulate options away from the camera, as well as a remote run/stop is a huge help. Your video was the best on YT and answered a lot of my questions. Thank you for the clear, concise explanations, examples, and logical flow. New subscriber for sure! I opted to go with the BlackMagic Camera Ctrl for my 4K, using an LG Velvet 5G phone, a few notes: -BT pairing MUST done through the app; -using the same lens as you, Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, the focus feature on the app DOES work with the 4K. -with the 4K, you can switch between BM Raw & ProRes and select all the different resolutions. Thank you again for your recommendations. This is awesome!
The "Control Blackmagic Camera" was free. I did see there was a problem going from ProRes to Blackmagic Raw. I got around it by selecting a different compression, selecting Blackmagic Raw, then switching the compression to my desired setting.
None of the apps work on either my S22 nor S23, and all of them seem to have been deserted. Luckily I am a mobile Dev. So I am developing my own...

can you shoot still photos with any of this apps?
I've lost sensitivity in the lower area of my camera screen and can't format cards from the camera. Is there any app that allows to format cards?
I downloaded the lite version, the phone and the camera are connected however when i refresh i dont see any seeting on the app

Hey Travis, did you ever find an app that is available? I just noticed the same thing and am looking for an alternative, too.
@@brandonloshe none for Android. I use Bluetooth + on my iPhone, but the range is very minimal..... just 4-5 feet from the camera.
I hate the iOS system it sucks so much
