- I shot this video to test out my old Samyang 35mm f/1.4 lens with my Bmpcc 6k pro. I'm surprised with the results this lens gave me. It's not the sharpest lens you can get but in some cases I really love the "vintage" softness it produces. Also it gives an overall warm look to the image. At f/1.4 it's very soft for it's almost unusable especially at infinity focus, but it's there if you need it for some low light shots. For this video I used f/2.0 for all the shots.

Really great results with this lens, well done! I like the slight softness but to my eye the unexpected lack of focus breathing was a big surprise! Great work my friend.
Thank you!! I like to use soft lenses with the 6K because the resolution is more than enough to provide me with a sharp image. Helps a lot if you want to achieve that "film look" and get rid of the digital look. I'm also surprised that a 400$ glass doesn't suffer from heavy focus breathing. For sure a vfm lens.

Ευχαριστώ πολυ! Μέσα στην κάμερα χρησιμοποίησα 5:1, στο Davinci Resolve για το rendering επέλεξα την επιλογή "Best" για το bitrate και "High" για το encoding profile.

Beautiful shots ! Did you grade with a specific plugin or LUT ? The colors and tones look very natural.
Thank you 🙏 I used the Buttery natural lut rec709 for the conversion from LOG and then I applied the Filmconvert plugin for the grade.

I have a question !! Bmpcc 6k pro isn't weather sealed ? So what happen if water drops fall on this camera ? Is it survive ?
It's not weather sealed, a few drops on it it's not a big deal but if planning to shoot in the rain you have to protect the ventilation system, you can use some kind of protection ( I use a transparent nylon bag 😅).

Its the Samyang f/1.4 with out the gears.
Does it it fit the bmpcc 4k?
Yes it does but you have to use a speedbooster adapter from mft to ef mount.

Was some of this handheld?
Half of the shots were handheld and stabilized in post and the other half on tripod.
Σε ποια περίπτωση προτείνεις αυτό το φακό έναντι του sigma 18-35;
Τον προτείνω στην περίπτωση που θέλεις ένα πιο οικονομικό 35αρι φακο με πολύ μεγάλο διάφραγμα για λήψεις σε χαμηλό φωτισμό και με πιο soft "κινηματογραφικη" εικονα. Ο Sigma ειναι πιο καθαρός φακός με τρομερή οξύτητα και διπλάσια τιμή.

No it's native ef mount.

@@SeventhArtFilms yes i saw a review on it im goin to get it cuz i was trying to buy the pro tiffen 1/4 & 1/8 but i reqlly like the NISI ONES BETTER. Now when its more sunny u recomend to use the NISI 1.8? And for like golden hr or cloudy the 0.9?
It depends on what f-stop you want to use there was one time I wanted to use f/1.2 with 800 ISO and I paired the two filters to get proper exposure at full sunny day. But yes most of the times in full sunny days use the 1.8 and in cloudy days or golden hour the 0.9 is more than enough.
