If you were either coming of age , a teenager or early 20’s at this time - it was an amazing time to be young!! The 80’s , period, was just an absolute blast to experience. At this time , Rock was the main genre of music- NOT RAP (crap)!!! And yea, the Rock landscape was beginning to get a bit stale , and the GnR came on the scene and it was huge. Within a yr and a half they were just as popular as LED Zeppelin, The Stones, Beatles , The WHO etc… - all off of ONE debut album. They were absolutely huge! The odd thing is the album was out for nearly 7 months or so before it really started to pick up traction, but once Sweet Child Of Mine was released as a single : they exploded (spring/summer 1988). Appetite has to be in the top 5 greatest debut albums of ALL TIME
Seth Abdou Steven Adler was fired. This is not the same thing. Izzy was the first to leave of his own accordance. Next ones to leave would be Slash and then Duff.
No steven no guns. No izzy no guns. No duff no guns. No axl no guns. No slash no guns. You can't replace them, that's the whole point of a band. Guns original members chemistry was out of this world.
saw the gunners in 1993 at calder park, outside of melbourne, australia. Memorable day with really hot weather, followed by a rainstorm later on, expensive water, watching the show from a spot where the band looked like ants, and a public transport fuck up afterwards. Glad my brother had driven.
Maybe someone can clear this up, Slash said in 2010 at The Max Sessions that he never played an acoustic set before, yet here at 5:30 the guys seem to be playing an acoustic set, or am I wrong? :\

@@e-zward9019 well he is sort of white now, but in he was black in the 80s, look for his photos on his first bands, like in 1983
If you were either coming of age , a teenager or early 20’s at this time - it was an amazing time to be young!!
Appetite has to be in the top 5 greatest debut albums of ALL TIME
everybody is excited to got a car hahahah love these guys :D
The retro commercials really take me back!
Where can I get a hat like the one Axl is wearing?
I'm sorry but where is izzy....
Izzy never dug the whole publicity thing, as well as the bigness of GNR, hence his departure from the band.
+cMaXeJIJIo he went out of gnr because he got clean, and he didn't want to take shit from axl
Max van der horst
Yes! Of course! Stupid me xD
Izzy is the coolest. He left the band first. Good for him. Smart dude.
***** He took a bus, they took a plane, and he got there first.
***** Izzy didnt leave the band first Steven adler did XD
Seth Abdou Steven Adler was fired. This is not the same thing. Izzy was the first to leave of his own accordance. Next ones to leave would be Slash and then Duff.
***** ohhhhh thats what you ment
Seth Abdou Adler was kicked out. He never wanted to leave. He even begged to come back several times but was ignored.

That part, that damn part, l love him 🥺💖
STEVEN
I'm so jealous of this time period. I was too young to be part of it. I really need to make a GnR series on my channel.
Great dudes, thanks for sharing!
no slash no guns..
No steven no guns.
No izzy no guns.
No duff no guns.
No axl no guns.
No slash no guns.
You can't replace them, that's the whole point of a band.
Guns original members chemistry was out of this world.
Ahhhh Aeon Flux.
No one knows wth I'm talking about when I refer to it.
Thanks for making me feel older than dirt.
You and me both.
SLASH FAVORITES
The commercials are fun to watch for the first time haha
saw the gunners in 1993 at calder park, outside of melbourne, australia. Memorable day with really hot weather, followed by a rainstorm later on, expensive water, watching the show from a spot where the band looked like ants, and a public transport fuck up afterwards. Glad my brother had driven.
whos smile would you pick?
me duffs or slashs
Slash! So addictive
Ummm...Appetite was released on July 21st 1987.
Maybe someone can clear this up, Slash said in 2010 at The Max Sessions that he never played an acoustic set before, yet here at 5:30 the guys seem to be playing an acoustic set, or am I wrong? :\
Maybe he meant an actual acoustic show, this was just an in store appearance at Tower Records. But I hear you.
MTV Rockumentary’s were always cool. MTV was cool for 14 years
Loved this.
Happy B-Day Slash:)
And for important songs, i am NOT talking about hits. But about the beauty of the songs.
1989 - the year i turned one year old...wish i was born in their time..😕
Behind all the bad boy facade, they have a mother who loves them so dear and treat them like babies all the time...
Well it says on the interview around minute 4:00 that this is taped @ Chelsea Hotel May 1988😉. But ,yes MTV aired it in 1989😊
Axl was always a perfectionist, it’s just that he had different goals with those two releases
AXL TA LINDO NESSA EPOCA MARAVILHOSO
Izzy, where are you? :(
I was born that year.. I dont know how it feels if I was live during that best moment for rock music.
