I worked the barricade in front of the stage that night. Skid Row put on an awesome show to open. There were 2 girls in the front row. It was one of theirs 16th birthday. She was from Arkansas and got the tickets to the concert as an early present. She just loved Guns and Roses. She wasn't kidding as it looked like she bought every T Shirt and souvenir they were selling. She couldn't wait for the show to start. When Axel threw down the Mike and ran off the stage she asked what happened and I told her what I could see. There were several announcements that came over the PA system. With each announcement the crowd got more restless. Things started to fly towards the stage. The girls were trying to figure out what's going on and very scared. I told them it was about to get ugly and they needed to get as far away from the stage as possible. They started to pick up all their gear and started to leave. As they walked away the Birthday girl started crying and yelled "the dream is over". Just after they left more things were coming at the stage. The person next to me got hit in the head by a quarter. Then bigger things were flying towards us. When parts of chairs started to be thrown, they pulled us out of the barricade and let the cops take over. Working the barricade we are there to keep folks from going on stage and causing a ruckus. We didn't know we needed to keep performers on the stage. Live and learn.
My buddy plays in a Guns and Roses cover band. We have a gag where I go to the front row and record him and he says "take that! get that guy and take that!" During Rocket Queen.
@Zap Rowsdower My buddy who knows your buddy who has a cover band who Henry Waggoner's buddies band whos friends with your buddy who plays in my buddies cover band .......
My brother was there that night and I remember the next day my mom was wondering where in the world a stadium seat came from. I think that seat is still in my parents basement
I saw GNR during their infamous tour with Metallica in 1992 in Indianapolis. I am amazed that Axl didn’t start a riot that night. To begin with they were an hour late. Once they arrived Axl immediately started insulting people from Indiana “he is from Lafayette Indiana “ he said we were all corn fed Hicks among other things. All in all however they did put on a pretty good performance. I was 14 at the time and it was my first rock concert. I will remember it for as long as I live. I came out of the show as a much bigger Metallica fan than I was before
I was at that show in Mpls, 15 at the time.. Axl pulled a bitch move at our show as well, started running his stupid mouth...everyone sat down and stopped applauding which really pissed him off. No one would placate his ego. So they played all their garbage material....fans hated it. I LOVED that. FNM and Metallica were really good though. F Axl forever. F-ing douche
i saw it in orlando. it was on the verge of a riot because gnr was late. but some genious with a camera started filming hot chicks in the audience and putting them on the screens flashing their tits. crisis averted.😁
I was at that show, and she is right... but I already knew what kind of a "special' dickhead Axl was. We caught them in '88 at Buckeye Lake when they opened for Aerosmith, and he was bitcing at a guy standin in the front row next to me that was taking pictures of the band with a cheap 110 camera. We invited him to come out into the crowd to express his opinion, but for some reason he declined our offer. So sad.
Went to see GNR years ago in Massachusetts. (Axle was 3 hours late for the show) We were sitting side stage and halfway thru the show we could see axle fist fighting with one of the crew behind stage. What a piece of work.
I used too sleep out for tickets, in the 70' 80's 90's and scalp tickets out of the box office tickets were $8.00 those times were the best exspecially the 80's. Best time of my life, so many memories and alot of money
Arlo Roan they actually played their scheduled 90 minutes. Rocket Queen was one of the last scheduled songs to play. Technically everyone still got a full show so their was no reason to get so upset.
I want to thank the makers of this documentary for getting right to the point. I can't stand a long drawn out "intro" ,quick cuts, in your face bullshit clickbait. This was very well made... I just wish the moment was shown when he asked Axl to sign the book!
One of the security guards mentioned, Ronnie Gamble, former Houston Oiler, was my football coach, 5 years ago he died, while we were all waiting for him in the locker room. When did I hear he was involved in this?? RIGHT NOW!! Wow.
Just Googled his name and...WHAT?!I'm from White Bear Lake and have loved to hear his story from this and it sucks knowing how accessible he would have been to talk to. Maybe even interview him on the radio. Damn! That sucks, sorry for your loss BTW.
@@zachhalverson69 Thank you. 6 years ago today now. By the way I LIVE IN WHITE BEAR LAKE. Yes he coached at Forest Lake and he coached our oline fir a local Semi-pro team. I was retired, and he asked me to play another year to help with the younger guys. 3 games into the season at a game in Duluth, he never made it he locker room. Sad, sas day
Big Ron worked as a bouncer at a bigger club here in STL in the early 90s. Whenever my band would perform there, he was always a great friend to see and always had my back as security. We love you Big Ron! A real good guy with a real big heart.
@@stevenlord3808 Well it sounds like you knew the real Ronnie. I 1st met him playing AGAINST the team he was coaching. We destroyed them 52-6. After the game one of OUR guys started some shit with one of their players. Dont care that he was my teammate it was uncalled for. So after the handshakes being the tram veteran iI went up to him to apologize for my teammates actions. He told me "don't be to hard on him, he's young, he will learn". I knew right then I wanted to play my last few years for him. He knew alot about football, but more about how to treat people right. EVERYBODY loved him. Even his opponents. Losing Ronnie was devastating. I still remember the feeling in that locker room. We still had a game to play that day. Nobody wanted to, but we all knew he would have said play. We put an unfair beating on that team that day. There wasn't a dry eye in that locker room after. I still miss him.
I’ve met many famous musicians and Out of them all sebastian bach was by far the coolest who absolutely puts his fans above himself as in he treats everyone like lifelong friends. He had a way of getting the names of what seemed like everyone he talked to at the venue and would actually remember everyone’s name after the show while the bands were loading up. He was the only one in the band that interacted with fans the entire time they were there. Just a fantastic human being
Love him. He always comes across as a really down to earth, personable guy! Saw Skid Row in Edinburgh in 1989 I think it was...sadly didn't get to meet him!

My mother was the court reporter for his trial. She left a note saying what big fans me and my two sisters were. Axl left us 2 cds, 2 t shirts and personal autographs. I think I still have it!
saw them open for maiden. they were drunk and horribly sloppy. people started throwing things at them, axl threw a fit and they walked off stage. then the flawless, almighty maiden took the stage.
They opened for Iron Maiden starting on May 13th of 1988 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. They toured Canada through the end of May, their first US show opening for Iron Maiden was May 30th in Spokane, last show was June 6th in Sacramento.
I was at the very next show in Dallas. Had front center seats, but since GnR had rebuilt the stage, it no longer had room for my front row seats. So security gave us 3rd row center and backstage passes. One of the greatest shows ever. I still have my ticket stub.
i find it funny that axl used to get pissed at people for throwing stuff on stage because he didn’t want people hurt but he can throw himself off stage which hurt stump, slap a security guard, triggered a riot, have a lot of people hospitalized, and etc..
He didn't trigger the riot, the idiots who started demolishing stuff did. Sure he might have incited them to riot, because he just ended a show that just began (I think) and it might have made the crowd angry, but it's still their fucking decision to literally start destroying everything, Axxl didn't make them do it. And I don't think Axxl behaved properly either, but punching a guy who brings a camera to your gig against the rules (especially since there were multiple instances of that happening earlier and I can only imagine how aggravating that must be to watch someone make money of your gig) is one thing, but starting a massive destruction even which was the riot there is another thing.
Dave54600 i saw that video! Dif. Here is that Axl decided to be a prick! Baz was struck and had every right to hit that f*cker! But, Axl wasn't threatened or injured anywhere except his Big Fat EGO!!!😉
I was at the Montreal version of this. Metallica was the opening act, James got hurt from pyrotechnics, and was rushed to the hospital, minutes later the other band mates came back and apologized for stopping (that's professionalism). Guns could have saved the show by jumping on right away but instead made us wait 2 hours, and after only three songs, we watched Axel insult the city and leave. The riot that followed was crazy. Flames everywhere, the place was getting destroyed. In the hallways, store were being vandalized and looted. Outside, cop cars were being flipped over. Insane!!! How did this guy not get into more trouble is a mystery.
So you guys were acting like savage beasts and somehow this is Axl's fault? lol. I get people being mad, but nothing justifies the riots. A rational human being doesn't start wreaking havoc just because they are mad. This was the rioters fault.
@@John-sk8pr Axl was a dick and stealing peoples money. I'm not a big Metalica fan (since the black album anyway) but they went back to Montreal and did a makeup concert after almost dying from having his skin and muscle melted off and Axl was just a dick. Even the band knew it was wrong but there wasn't shit they could do without a lead singer.
Seth Braun wasted talent? Call him a cry baby and an asshole, but there was no wasted talent. He's still a fucking legend and he fucking rocked in the 80s and 90s. How was his talent wasted? GnR were at the top.
@@ElGaby323 makes no sense. He wasted nothing, made some GREAT music in his youth and even though his voice is shot, is still performing hard every year.

😅 Sebastian keeps making me laugh with his commentary! Lol He knew how Axl could be. Couldn't imagine being there to witness the craziness! Love Sebastian's laugh too 😆
I laughed so hard at that amp story. I am pretty sure those guys just sat there waiting for the nus and realizing they don't want to carry that amp another 10 feet. So they took the bus and left the amp there, I guess.
Sebastian Bach is so hilarious! When he was talking about Izzy's amp and laughing, I thought I'd die. It was really the only part that made the who incident seem ridiculous besides Axl and his stupid contact lens stories.
I took my first two tabs of acid at a Steve Winwood concert. Before it kicked in I got into a drunken fight with some other Bozo and we both got taken to jail. That’s when the acid started to kick in. Long story short, I love Steve Winwood
I was there that night. My favorite band of all time and I was beyond excited to see Axl Rose. I had bleacher seats to the right when facing the stage and mid riot a girl my age was standing two rows down from me and that’s when a plant the size of a large mum smacked her on the side of her head and face, knocking her over the next bleacher. While I stood watching this and the helicopters, my boyfriend, at the time, grabbed my arm and pulled me the hell out of there. We ran through water hoses, flying chairs, air debris, you name it. It was crazy!
my mom was there. she said people were getting a hold of the fire hoses and were trying to spray people, stealing/scrapping whatever they could, etc. Pretty awesome story
Tracey Hogan I'm glad I'm not a roses fan. Haven't forgiven them since axl decided his courtside seats were more important than coming to Philly to entertain those whom purchased the ticket to see them. Nothing against the rest of the band; at least they fucking showed up lol. That being said, guns n roses won't make another dime off me.
15:27 I saw GnR on the reunion tour in 2016 in Chicago and I ended up sitting next to this guy and his wife in the VIP lounge before the show. A super kind guy with awesome stories. This dude had the coolest story about the riot show, and he told my sister and me detail by detail, second by second of the show. *If you are reading this, I am the tall skinny dude who was with his sister, and we shared a table in the lounge for about 2 hours. Thanks for the great stories!*
The real story is just how good Skid Row was live. They were probably the best live rock band around at that time. Bach was instantly talented and out rocked everyone on earth.
He wasn't the most PC person at the time. Wearing that infamous AIDS tee, and dissing America's favorite boy band at the time with "New Kids On My Cock". One thing he did I thought was funny: He ripped the head off a Vanilla Ice doll!😂😂😂😂
Bach was and still is an attention seeking child pretending to be a man. Loud, animated, and annoying. A great performer but as far as musical talent goes, just another face in the crowd. Nothing to write home about then or now. Although I must admit the Slave to the Grind record was an awesome against the grain offering.
They made Axel paint curbs on the highway. The FM rock station announced that if "You stopped for an autograph that the one you will get will be from the Deputy & for obstruction of justice." It was hilarious!
Fuzzy's Studio I was 3 years old when that show happened but I would have fucking loved to live that generation. “Rock ‘n roll” just doesn’t feel like rock ‘n roll any more these days....
3Vimages catching a pick, that a guitar player would throw out into the crowd, was an exciting possibility to have occur when going to a show back in those days. Equivalent to catching a baseball at a game.
@@deathbat87 I turned 18 in 1981. Saw em all in their prime. VH, AC/DC(Next to any Pink Floyd/Roger Waters show the Back In Black tour was the greatest thing I have ever seen), Dio, Maiden, Triumph, Aerosmith, Sabbath, BOC, Stones, Floyd, Metallica, Megadeath, Priest.. you name it. Was in 2 riots, one in New Hampshire in 76' at a ZZ Top show and one in 82' at Rush in Hollywood Fla. Both were caused by the venue not opening doors on time. At the Rush show they had let people in and then closed the doors again when they found out the band was gonna be late. So about 7000 people were seeing other people already inside and they couldn't get in, so they started smashing in the doors, we got tear gassed at that one. I considered myself lucky as there were shows where people died, AC/DC and The Who come to mind, not from riots but from uncontrollable crowds rushing to their seats. These days I'm a roadie, and quite a bit has been learned since then, by the bands, the venues and the fans, and you don't see much more than a few fights at shows these days. One thing though, we never had to worry about some crazy fuck showing up and opening fire on the crowd. You younger folks have a whole other set of shit to deal with and I don't admire that. But hang in there, Rock and Roll will come around again. Bands like Ghost and Greta Van Fleet are bringing in huge crowds, and the resurgence is starting..
Their earlier days were their Golden Age. I remember when Appetite For Destruction was first released. Luckily we had an early copy, and we played it everywhere we went. Every performer in the band had recognised individual presence on the stage, and still maintain that presence. So its no wonder that G&R has had so many problems in its history. Anyways, they earned their fame, and deserve the recognition, and yeah the criticism too. Awesome job guys! :D
What a great Video I have so much Respect for the crew of people who work behind the scenes to bring the Concerts to the Fans in a Safe Environment.. You guys are the True Rockstars 👍😎
Stopped being a fan of G’n’R when they walked off stage during the Metallica show where James Hatfield was burned by pyro. The stories afterward about how snobby Axl acted and was drinking champagne and basically saying screw the fans and they lost me. They had some great music but I turn the channel everytime they are played on the radio. Fans made them and so many other bands truly love their fans. Axl is the exception and it’s a shame. Great documentary for sure! Wish they would have played some retro Skid Row! Thanks for sharing this!
Alter Egos you “heard” these stories but how can you know they’re true? I know Jason said he was drinking/smoking but I doubt he was saying screw the fans etc. Btw it was the whole bands decision to leave, they were having trouble with their equipment and couldn’t hear themselves
@psychotic memories, Me too! A cop broke the news in the parking lot. The thing is, I could've seen em Thursday night(my friends dad had connections for any night Thur-Sat.. But I wanted to see them on a weekend night so chose Friday. Then he wouldn't show up that night because of some misdemeanors in IL or MO, I don't remember exactly. He was trying to avoid being arrested.
Well if success is not an option, you should fail spectacularly and enjoy it? I dunno, I get disappointed with myself sometimes too, but at least we're not seeking permanent solutions to temporary problems, amirite?
I had the biggest crush on him as a kid...then I grew up n' realised what a whiny little bitch he could be. He DEFINITELY ain't no Layne Staley. Pity the legend passed while this fucker still struts around (NOT wishing death on Axl though..just for Layne to be alive👌🏻). Being a guitar player, I preferred Slash than Axl anyway
5150mario funny how this doesn’t matter a bit now with everyone carrying a cell phone with a camera in it. Ok, he broke the rules smuggling in his camera. But jumping into the crowd, ending a show, starting a riot is not how you handle it. Lots of people could of been killed. I hope AR got a huge bill from his management for damages, lawsuits, shows cancelled.
Wow. What a band. They said that on any given night Guns could be the tightest, best rock band on the planet or a complete train wreck. Axl was completely predictablely unpredictable. The most generous sweet guy you ever want to meet one night and the biggest petulant egomaniac the next. I missed seeing them once in LA and after they cancelled in Vancouver due to Hetfield burning himself. What a drag.
Amazing job on this documentary ! All this time I 've only know of the footage of Axl jumping off stage , nothing more about the riot and other footage around this incident. Awesome
They call the outshoot of the stage into the crowd an "ego thruster"!!!! I've played music forever and i've never heard it called that. Absolutely hilarious.
Axl wasn't a drug user. Only alcohol. That's why gn'r broke up. Look at Steven today, poor guy can't talk normally, Slash was even reported dead bc of the drugs. They were drowning in drugs and Axl was against that.
Kyle Mc he was the best rocker of all time even with the ego and attitude which I think was more drinking and doing drugs that caused his out bursts also alot of pressure to be that famous wouldn't be easy

Axl's a puss which is why he threw a hissy and left. He already took the camera. I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd (band and crew) jump in the crowd and throw punches at fans in the second row near Chicago. Lynyrd Skynyrd was back on stage within 10 minutes and finished what turned out to be a great concert. Since Axl's a pussy, he decided to pick up his toys and left like he did in Montreal and Rio. .
It's so stupid that some people defend this as being ""rock and roll". Rock and roll is playing your show and having people enjoy themselves and go home safely.
David to be fair he did have a lot of things going on in his life from his childhood not to mention the stress of having the whole world watching you and having to constantly live up to high expectations of music I would get pretty stressed and lash out a lot if I where in his shoes

That would have been the best concert ever tho! When Axl wanted to tour with Nirvana!!! Good luck with that! But man woulda been phenominal. Kurt hated Axls guts
Devin's right...Axl wanted Nirvana to open for them. Kurt turned him down. In true Axl form, he had a tantrum over it. Axl wore his Nirvana hat all the time until their fued. It's even by his side in the Don't Cry filmclip

Axl was a prick towards many people and made a shit ton of enemies so, even if Kurt's the instigator, I still tend to lean in his favour. Plus the fact that Courtney was the driver in that relationship and everyone knows what a manipulative, instigating POS she is. Either way, Axl was guilty asf when Kurt died and felt bad over their dramas..he didn't know what was going to happen though so had nothing to blame himself for. To me, his remorse shows empathy.. something I thought Axl lacked before the event of Kurt's death. He's gotten humble as he's aged and wisened up as far as I can tell which is obv great
It’s too bad that Kelsey Grammer had to get his dad to pick him up after the show and that his Dad didn’t believe him when he told him there was a riot.
I was at the show in Dallas Starplex Ampetheater just after this. 7th row. Skid row kicked ass, then there was a 2 hour wait. Axel was mad there was a curfew, so he said FU we aren't even going on until the curfew starts! for 2hrs the crowd was mostly calm, but they they started throwing beer cups. not those flimsy solo cups, the hard plastic ones. from 7th row if you looked up at the hill behind us it looked like snow. then it got bad and it looked like a Blizzard! our dates were getting scared and we started to leave, just as we got out of our row. the lights went off and i got NAILED in the side of the head with a stack of beer cups, almost knocked me out. then lights come up and GNR comes out. but they sounded bad. I mean real bad. we stayed 3 songs and left.
how could a whimpy 130 pound guy like axl knock anyone over, even if he jumped at them? Dude needed his butt thumped hard...his attitude killed that band.
C K , The show was amazing. It really was. He made vague references to the riot in the 90's through witty remarks such as "It seems like just yesterday we were here.." and when introducing Slash he called him his "partner in crime, returning to the scene of the crime" lol. He was very gracious tho and mentioned several times how glad he was to be back in St.Louis and thanked everyone for coming a few times. His tribute performance of Black Hole Sun was cool too.
I'm curious @Jennifer Durso , how was it? I went to the show in Vancouver last week and Axl was in a great mood, despite this city being not happy with them. He cancelled back in 2002 the day of the show. That caused a riot...but we're famous for those now. But did he mention anything about St Louis?
Yeah, we got Black Hole Sun as well. I've been wanting to see them since I was 10. At 3.5 hours - it was a spectacular show. Glad you had a good time & that Axl was in a good mood :)
@Tripper Harrison You have no idea what you're talking about. Alice In Chains and Soundgarden - just to mention two 'grunge' bands - shit all over Guns'N'Roses musically. They were both better live too...
@Tripper Harrison - Serious question, but did you get dropped on your head as a child? Grunge bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, COMPLETELY blew bands like GnR's out of the water with talent, creativity and the level of energy that was brought to these type of concerts. Considering Nirvana, and Kurt Cobain specifically came up with Grunge rock as an entirely new music genre, that alone puts Nirvana at a much higher recognition of respect than bands like GnR's. Not to mention, even with Kurt being gone for almost 25 years, he still makes more money than that brain dead Axl Rose, lord of the flys. I mean, it take a serious moron of EPIC proportions to screw up a band that big just because of selfishness and ego! It's sad that people like you actually believe that bands such as Nirvana didn't bring something purely new and exciting to the music genre. They quite literally changed the way music is viewed in the world. You can thank Nirvana for bringing along not only all incredible Grunge bands, but also incredible post-grunge style hard rock bands such as Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, System of a Down, Mudvayne, Stone Sour and Slipknot *JUST* to name a few! Try to really give this style of music a little more credit.
and now all those grunge bands are lucky to play a 15k seat arena. Guns N Roses is selling out stadiums and is headed to put together the highest grossing tour in history.
I like that G'n R always credited The Replacements as an early influence, especially simply being themselves, keeping it real, not faking anything, no phony smiles or painted on costumes. And oddly, not caring about money or fame. If they felt the vibe, the show was gonna be awesome. If not, Rose would likely throw a fit, cuss someone out or throw a punch and the show would be over. Small wonder one of the surviving Replacements played on Axl's second generation of G'n R. I guess that's why they had grudging respect for Nirvana, too. Authenticity, man - this is a serious revolution.
I was a freshman in high school when this happened (wasn’t at the show) and we laughed about it for quite a while afterwards. I was a loyal KSHE listener at the time and remember them having an event at the Arch where anybody that wanted to could show their appreciation for G&R by flipping the bird in a group photo (I wasn’t there either). Rolling Stone Magazine took notice and basically said the people of St. Louis had nothing better to do with their time than act like idiots. LOL!
Good lord what was the point of this documentary??? it just makes everyone divisive to blame one guy for that riot is silly! Axl only wishes he could pee without help now, much less be as good as he was then. This just goes to show, Axl took for granted how amazing his voice really was, it was simply taken away from him and never given back. Look at Axl now, the best he could get now would be as a street performer.

@@Nyfancam01 I agree, he WAS a legend, now he's just a sad old dude that can barely walk. At the last minute on May 24th 1991, I had someone I knew call me up and ask if I wanted his 2 tickets, 8 rows from center stage at Alpine Valley to see GNR and I took him up on his offer. Paid most of my paycheck that friday to him and me and my buddy raced up to East Troy Wisconsin in a beat up, 4 cylinder 1979 mustang and the damn thing barely made it. I remember how huge the crowds were and major news outlets including MTV news was there interviewing people. Skid Row was on time and played their butts off, but GNR was late getting to the stage and Axl Rose had a cast on his leg. The show was good, but they played songs off Use your illusion 1@2 which weren't out yet, so we didn't know any of those songs. I thought about going to the Chicago show later on, but Axl made sure that didn't happen. Lol!

You know what? Hell yeah to all the hardworking people who prevented a single life from being lost. End of story.

My first concert was Metallica, Kid Rock, and Sevendust. 1999. Cleveland, Ohio
I was 14 when I saw GNR march 20th 1993 and lost my virginity in the bathroom of carver Hawkeye arena. I left an even bigger GNR fan
i saw it in orlando. it was on the verge of a riot because gnr was late. but some genious with a camera started filming hot chicks in the audience and putting them on the screens flashing their tits. crisis averted.😁

Wow! 🤔
i find it funny that axl used to get pissed at people for throwing stuff on stage because he didn’t want people hurt but he can throw himself off stage which hurt stump, slap a security guard, triggered a riot, have a lot of people hospitalized, and etc..

Metallica were smart to go first
So you guys were acting like savage beasts and somehow this is Axl's fault? lol. I get people being mad, but nothing justifies the riots. A rational human being doesn't start wreaking havoc just because they are mad. This was the rioters fault.

Paul Mader naw, not even close, very good, yes.... Most potential, very good possibility!
Kyle Mc I say he was he had a unique voice plus awesome band members great range of songs even with the attitude I like him, people forget these guys are drinking taking drugs all the time there's gonna be some trouble
@@paulmader1052 with out a doubt best of all time !!!! there have been many many rock stars who have displayed similar behavior as AXL ROSE with similar attitude hello thats what big stars do sometime goes with territory .
@@mikepate9371 yeah forsure it actually sells records and gets them girls so yeah plus Axl rose wasn't that bad it's alot of pressure when everyone wants a piece of you, his music was so awesome though
lil mr.rose gets mad and goes home...how cute
You have no idea bro, and that’s too sad to be cute.
Axl...the baby years. So much for being the 'tough' rock star. Suck it up and get on with the show.
kamaboko1 he could kick your ass bud
Axl's a puss which is why he threw a hissy and left. He already took the camera. I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd (band and crew) jump in the crowd and throw punches at fans in the second row near Chicago. Lynyrd Skynyrd was back on stage within 10 minutes and finished what turned out to be a great concert. Since Axl's a pussy, he decided to pick up his toys and left like he did in Montreal and Rio. .
just like all the women axl use to beat up on. not so tough.
sicfrynut innocent until proven guilty, that being that there is no proof he did that
Hey man, getting your picture taken is painful!
It's so stupid that some people defend this as being ""rock and roll". Rock and roll is playing your show and having people enjoy themselves and go home safely.
Hey......
Izzy's amp was a bus stop, his Marshall was at a bus stop!!!🙀
Terrible!!!! Never see!!! Desgrace!!😨😨
Axl was the cry baby of rock
David to be fair he did have a lot of things going on in his life from his childhood not to mention the stress of having the whole world watching you and having to constantly live up to high expectations of music I would get pretty stressed and lash out a lot if I where in his shoes
No. The cry baby is something useful in rock😉
Still and always will be the proud crybaby doosh azzhole. Talentless thug who can't fight when dressed like a chic or a dood. Panties and a Boa to rock out on stage? Yeah, OK. If that doesn't scream 'I'm trapped in the closet?' you idiots are deaf from her sissy screams and blind from denial. HA HA!
🖕🏻
I think people tried to make him look like that cause he wouldn't take shit from anyone
I was driving past there after getting fireworks in St Charles County just after the riot started. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many red and blue lights since.
God damn.. back when rock and metal were badass
Dude, when I read your comment it just reminded me of the intro to this. It's funny as hell.
ruclips.net/video/wEwkLbHBt0o/видео.html
That would have been the best concert ever tho! When Axl wanted to tour with Nirvana!!! Good luck with that! But man woulda been phenominal. Kurt hated Axls guts
Axl hated grunge! Tf u talkin about?! Lol!
Devin's right...Axl wanted Nirvana to open for them. Kurt turned him down. In true Axl form, he had a tantrum over it. Axl wore his Nirvana hat all the time until their fued. It's even by his side in the Don't Cry filmclip
He did. Just on sight. Awful judgy for someone who marched for inclusion.
@@nelliesilvers1210 I just read all about that the other day. All this time I thot it was Axl being a dick! Turns out it was Kurt being a dick! Axl wanted to jam with him. Weird how judgmental he was....all the while supporting wat he deemed the underdog. And being the person he hated. Dude was fucked up
@@shirleyallen5178 I never take sides of a fight unless it includes someone I personally love and I know the facts. I love Kurt but not personally (dangit😏) and I don't know the facts. One minute I'm reading Axl instigated it and the next, Kurt did. I'll never know but they both had arrogance in them. He's gotten humble as he's aged and wisened up as far as I can tell which is obv great
He had an ego extension. Priceless!!
The amp at the bus stop is pretty damn funny.
Let's see Axl try that now. EVERYONE has a camera! :D
It’s too bad that Kelsey Grammer had to get his dad to pick him up after the show and that his Dad didn’t believe him when he told him there was a riot.
That’s Tony Jordan. Lol
Axl was an axlhole
You mean is an "axlhole." He' still a dick.
rlta04 I respect that you used the word “was”. People need to realise he’s changed now
So he's a little less of a dick now? He is an asshole. And he sounds like Micky Mouse joined a rock band with an amazing guitarist.
Fuck off you wish you could be as talented as him he gets more money and pussy then you will ever have
He's not the one that chose to riot.
out of nowhere he dives off the stage and now all the sudden "...due to the lame ass security..." ?
what he meant was (not saying he's right)... 'due to the lame ass security not being able to get the camera'
The dude gets his autograph LMAO
how could a whimpy 130 pound guy like axl knock anyone over, even if he jumped at them? Dude needed his butt thumped hard...his attitude killed that band.
130 pounds + acceleration + stage height = considerable moving mass
There was no Guns n Roses without Axl. He was the TNT that made the band skyrocket. Not to mention he wrote all the lyrics. All his melody.
In Australia we call it Ranga-Rage. A Ranga is a red-head.
Overkill Maximus it’s 2019. So much more information has come out about what went down in the breakup that to solely blame Axl for it is just idiotic
130 pounds yea....but Axle is also a martial arts expert....not something everybody knows
I'm going to see them tomorrow night in St.Louis for the first time since this happened.
Jennifer Durso i thought gins n roses wete permanently banned from st. Louis ever since this incident
Nicholas Reando Money talks :)
Pretty cool of Axl to sign that autograph on that pic for Stump tho 👍
I wonder what happened to the photos or video of that encounter!
This was there moment.
A couple of years later Nirvana turned up and made the band look like dragqueens 😭😭
Gert Madsen biggest joke of the century
son!
theres guns n roses
and theres other rock bands!
and now all those grunge bands are lucky to play a 15k seat arena. Guns N Roses is selling out stadiums and is headed to put together the highest grossing tour in history.
Just put a big chicken wire fence in front of axle , like that band that played in the film Roadhouse ! Ha
Blues brothers.
There was also a scene in "Great Balls of Fire" where Jerry Lee Lewis was playing behind chicken wire
Roadhouse!
@Dave E "His name is Dalton"
Ghost !
Rocked sent me here. Great documentary!!
Sounds like sebastian bach been inhaling some helium back stage
I was a freshman in high school when this happened (wasn’t at the show) and we laughed about it for quite a while afterwards. I was a loyal KSHE listener at the time and remember them having an event at the Arch where anybody that wanted to could show their appreciation for G&R by flipping the bird in a group photo (I wasn’t there either). Rolling Stone Magazine took notice and basically said the people of St. Louis had nothing better to do with their time than act like idiots. LOL!
if I had to sit thru Skid Row and then get a shortened GnR set I would riot too.
"Take that, take that... get that guy and take that..........................I'll take it goddammit!"
I Like the GNR SoundTrack Cut Ya Made.
"I Said it's Perfect!"
LoL.
This is so awesome always wanted to hear what really happened. So legendary. Video is super well done.
Moral of the story: Always bring a hand truck to a GnR riot.
Or a pissjug
Good lord what was the point of this documentary??? it just makes everyone divisive to blame one guy for that riot is silly! Axl isn't very professional people payed there money to see him and his band and he has a baby fit.... Axl isn't innocent in it he lit the match..... it's a miracle nobody was killed!
Coma Toes Axl
He didn't light the match... the guy who didn't follow the rules did. Axl simply dumped a tanker truck full of gas on it.
7:05 all you need to know about Miss Rose.
Saw Skid Row in the 80’s in a small club in NJ… they were a great live band. Saw GNR at MetLife Stadium early 90’s with Aerosmith… one of the best shows ever.
I was friends with Axl just before he made it. I knew that fame would turn his ego into a .monster. I wasn't wrong.
Great name
What was he like? What types of activities did you do together?
Sebastian Bach, sounds like a wino drunk! His wheezing laugh
35 years of debauchery will leave its mark.
Big toker as well
Axl only wishes he could pee without help now, much less be as good as he was then. This just goes to show, Axl took for granted how amazing his voice really was, it was simply taken away from him and never given back. Look at Axl now, the best he could get now would be as a street performer.
He is more talented and has more money than you'll ever even imagine LOL I think he's doing just fine and wouldn't give a fuck about what you'd have to say. He's a legend!!!!
@@Nyfancam01
I agree, he WAS a legend, now he's just a sad old dude that can barely walk. He even said it himself:
"The day I threw in the towel thinking I knew it all, was the day I unknowingly lost it all, from my health to my voice to my plastic surgeries, to all my money, everything was a mistake, if only I would have listened to Ripped Hole, I would still have it all today"
- Quote - Axl Rose
Lol!
