I've watched many interviews with "Axl" and he's the same man in that courtroom chair. Calm, reserved, charming, thinks before he speaks and when he speaks, intelligent and graceful. This is why I love Axl. Even though it was painful for him to say it, he didn't hide his disgust with the drug use that continued long after he himself had quit (as he stated in COUNTLESS interviews). Even Slash referred to Axl as the most honest person he'd ever met. Add that anxiety to the freak-outs he used to have regarding his horrific childhood and it's no wonder he showed up late for shows and reacted the way he did to situations like the ones in St Louis and Montreal.
Fair, but when James Hetfield caught on fire he didn’t need to stop the show and sit on the riser like a baby and barely sing. He could’ve been the hero for the show, I get his horrific childhood and I love him and the band but, still he’s a singer and his voice starting to hurt was not an excuse

He was very smart to keep cool, calm and collected even when subjected to NOSY questions from a lawyer who was DELIBERATELY trying to piss him off in front of the judge!
It was pretty ridiculous. But Adler felt he had the right to get his royalties..and actually I agree. I personally find Stephen Adler to be sad and obnoxious, but fair is fair. I know Axl is really the genius behind the band, did the best songwriting and of course was the front man and vocalist, who is therefore irreplaceable. I don't know all the details because I wasn't there. I'm sure A LOT happened between the band members because they had such a crazy and wild life, touring, writing and recording music, filming videos, and then having their own drug/alcohol/sex issues with their groupies and girlfriends, etc.
Axle was so damn handsome. I wish I could have met him in the late 80’s….well shit I still want to meet him, shake his hand and thank him for getting me thru this life with his music
+Lydia Reymer he didnt aged gracefully, some people have hat on their pockets, like John Bon jovi , for example and probably he has been on some kind of legal drugs his entire life and that adds on the weight department, I think his looks degradating is a reflection on his strugle inside , he was sooo beautifull unique looking and very intimidating in a seductive way.
It's called getting older. It happens to all the pretty young flowers. Axl was GORGEOUS when he was young. Yeah, he has bipolar disorder and I think he was taking medications which caused weight gain and bloating. Young girl, someday you will be OLD! (That's a quote from another great musician from a song by Morrissey)
He shoulda just said, look man this is how it all went down! " we used to do a lil but a lil wouldn't do it so the little got more and more, we just kept trying to get a little better saying a lil better than before"!
To be fair, he wasn't trying to be Axl here, he was being the more serious and reserved William. 😏😉Sure Axl might have sung some of Mr. Brownstone, but.... William was trying to be serious in Court. 😉😏
Honestly, I think he behaved really well for the way the man badgered him about drug use. He kept his eyes on his lawyer and patiently awaited someone to excuse him from his answers. Additionally, I didn't really realize that Mr. Brownstone went that deep. I can't believe he had the creative liberties in his song stripped down so deep. At least he cracked a smile when the judge make the hum joke but I just feel so offended that they put him on trial and treated him like he was a spokesperson for the entire band and their drug usages on tour. I just wished it would've been a more relevant interrogation because it sounds like the public offender didn't have much to go on at all.
Public "offender"? what does that mean? The 2nd part of this video suggests that this testimony was in regard to Adler's lawsuit against GnR. Most likely the one examining the witness (i.e., Axl) was Adler's lawyer. Although there's nothing wrong with asking a witness about his peers' drug abuse, I agree that this attorney's questions are pointless and a waste of "judicial resources".
I absolutely love Axl's reaction to when the crown attorney starts reading the lyrics to Mr. Brownstone. He thinks its hilarious to hear a person of the law to read his lyrics.
If only axel started singing it really loudly…. But he’d get contempt of court or some crap. This is hilarious… this idiot is asking the stupidest questions.
Axl is doing a perfect job on the stand by means of taking his time to think about what he will say and how he will say it.... very smart and also allows his lawyer the maximum opportunity to object or Interject something.
I really feel for Axl here. I did my share in the 80s-90s and i would hate to have to tell those stories in court. It was a time of excess and alot of us pushed the limits of what our bodies could handle, it was more common to party openly and some of us were destroyed by it. I do think Steven is a great drummer and its sad what drugs did to him, but they should have found a better way to work this out then putting your "Friends" on the spot in front of the world.
A non perfect but beautiful, intelligent man that knew when the drugs and booze were tearing them apart. Sure he was a control freak, it’s a tough gig being a perfectionist. All in all though, he must be some kind force for the band to be willing to come back together again and rip it apart on stage in “not in this lifetime “ tour! Which I missed because my son was very ill. 😢 One more please, come back to Aus guys, I adore Axl and named my girl Baylee Rose as a loving nod to Him! 💖
His Gun Brothers, Slash and Duff love their Rose Brother and he loves them too. 😀😏😉 If all three of them didn't love each other, they wouldn't have done the reunion. 😉😏😀
It's interesting how he looks straight forward while making an answer. No clue about he is remembering, or creating a lie. But maybe he was remembering what he and his lawyers had practiced to say in court.

Umm, newsflash Kev. Women are often attracted to famous rock stars who can sing. And could Axl ever sing. And quite frankly, he actually was handsome when he was younger.
Axl is staring at that mic after the prosecutor asked about Duff's drug use and he was screaming inside... Axl was and is a very intelligent guy. He didn't want to sell out his bandmates. Steven Adler was a junkie 15 years after GnR... It's not their fault. It was the road and the life. He couldn't handle it.

Wow did he do that? He had a lot of bandmates.
adler sued gnr not the other way around
i say yes but never any names
i love gnr but im loyal as ....
He could plead the 5th
@@rileylovesbatman That's fair but you don't have control over your brain when you have multiple mental illnesses and are not taking your meds, they control you and sabotage everything that is good in your life.
he may be many things; but one thing he is always honest, whatever his point of view etc.
@@rileylovesbatman Uh.. yes it is? Continuing on when you've strained yourself enough to cause pain will cause permanent damage. Vocalists have to do a lot to care for our voices. That includes allowing them to rest.
Do you think he raped the 15yr old ...or just threw her out of his place while she was naked & high

I just fell in love with Axl for not wanting to say anything about the rest of the band.. there’s true friendship here..
What a beautiful man. The look he has today doesn't do it for him . He's a handsome man... Why did he change his look for the worse?
BRENDI I still find him gorgeous
Lydia, he didn't change his looks on purpose, it's called growing old. We all will get to that stage in life, If we live long enough.....
I still think Axl is good looking

" we used to do a lil but a lil wouldn't do it so the little got more and more, we just kept trying to get a little better saying a lil better than before"!
To be fair, he wasn't trying to be Axl here, he was being the more serious and reserved William. 😏😉Sure Axl might have sung some of Mr. Brownstone, but.... William was trying to be serious in Court. 😉😏
@@MarySmith-lv3mo lol. Yeah hindsight is 2020 and singing Mr. Brownstone may have worked more in his favor.
I feel that he felt singing Mr. Brownstone would have made it look like he was making a mockery of the Court of something like that.
I love how graceful he is. It's hard to put the performer Axl and this guy in the court room together. Love both:-)
Honestly, I think he behaved really well for the way the man badgered him about drug use.
That is the US legal system.
"I didn't really realize that Mr. Brownstone went that deep"... neither did I.
Public "offender"? what does that mean? The 2nd part of this video suggests that this testimony was in regard to Adler's lawsuit against GnR. Most likely the one examining the witness (i.e., Axl) was Adler's lawyer.
Although there's nothing wrong with asking a witness about his peers' drug abuse, I agree that this attorney's questions are pointless and a waste of "judicial resources".
how good looking..

WTF? He is the idiot who instigated the court case.
Adler was the plaintiff, and I'm sure he filed suit after he reached the conclusion that they no longer were friends.
@@SINC0MENTARI0S I wouldn't be friends with Axl either, with all his creepiness and domestic violence. He's a total jerk in real life.
It's interesting how he looks straight forward while making an answer. No clue about he is remembering, or creating a lie. But maybe he was remembering what he and his lawyers had practiced to say in court.
+SerpensSolida Studies states a person will more often look or glance to their right when they contemplate telling a lie.
