Aha, welcome to the club! First two modules in my case were Maths & Pam’s New WO. I’ve had some serious fun with clocking the DFAM & SubH with independent Euclidean clocks, I heartily recommend it. I genuinely couldn’t imagine have a modular setup without a Pam’s in it, ridiculously useful bit of kit! Great video man and nearly 1.5k subs already… Nice one :)
@@fancylad22 the improved display was the deal breaker, but we agree that Pam’s new still has a ton of amazing features. We’ve actually decided to keep both :)
Super excited about this. You've already been a great help with the dfam, but I also recently got this! Have not gotten too deep. I'm really interested in the pitch quantizers... that's still a little confusing. I need a top down lesson for this. So thank you!
Got any tips on how to quantize plaits for melody? I can't seem to get it nice like how just a simple quantizer does on vcv rack lol (I have the actual hardware for both)
I think I cover it in this video. Let me know if this gives you what you need. If not let me know! If it can be done, I'll make a video about it! :) ruclips.net/video/TEnWt1ihoEY/видео.html
Thanks for the great video! Made the decision to start my own Modular set up and just trying to sort out a case and first few modules. I have the Matriach and Make Noise 0-Coast and Strega. Thinking Maths for sure then either Plaits or pams Workout.
I got my first case last September and I also was augmenting a setup built around my Matriarch and a few other semi-modulars. Maths & Pam’s we’re the first ones I bought and took it from there. Just with those two, I spent weeks exploring and having ridiculous amounts of fun. As Braintree56 pointed out, you can’t go wrong with them…
@@chitlun Thanks a ot for that info. It's such a minefield, it's been hard just to get it down to these 2. I have always wanted Maths so that is a definate. i'm looking at the Nano Modules CAIXA 104 case but not sure if I should get one without any modules and build it totally from scratch. Also been looking at getting new OXI Coral, I have OXI sequencer and the both go pretty well togather by the looks of it.
@@Indianabones007 That case would be a smart move! The utilities it comes with are invaluable, I’m looking at one of those myself for a portable rig. I have the Nano Modules Font filter and am very impressed with the quality, I expect the case would be no different.
I spent all my money on my first Eurorack order and forgot to include Pam's. Oh well, you know now how stupid I was hahaha. Will get one later, thanks for this talk!
The contrast between amount of what it can actually do against user interface that limit you to tweak only one parameter at a time is kinda deal breaker for me. i hope they would make expander to access several feature at once. at least within one channel. via i2c or midi for example.
I can see that. It's kind of a 'set it and forget it' type module given the menu diving aspect. However, it's just so easy to use that I can get over it... I'll bet those things will be integrated in newer iterations of the module...
This is literally one of the modules I wanted to ask you about! I think I already asked you this, but have you ever used the Sonoclast MAFD for the DFAM? Not that they are at all similar whatsoever. Just stream of thought.
I haven't. It seems cool, but there's a part of me thinks it's trying to fit a round peg in a square hole... Part of what makes the DFAM cool is that you have certain restraints... But with that said, I'll probably end up breaking down and buying one... Ha! There are so many good modules out there that I'd probably prioritize a different one.
Not sure if it is just me, but this patch screams early 90s rap to me! I want to hear how you got sent to live with your rich aunt and uncle after your mom got scared. Great job, but quit making me want modules I don’t own!
Great video, but watch your autofocus in future. Slightly jarring to watch the screen on the module drift in and out of intelligibility as you move your hands in front of the lens.
@@braintree56 really helpful video though, my ppw is in the post right now. Looks like Thursday was the perfect time to order it - its the long bank holiday weekend in the UK at the moment and the post wont be running until tuesday (little bit of british sarcasm for you there). Thanks! Yeah, it's pretty amazing. I have to get in there and play around with the euclidean rhythms!
I'm picking up one tomorrow. Your intro mirrors my thoughts as so far.
I'm really enjoying this module. I can't see myself letting this one go anytime soon! Very useful module!
Finally ! A video on this beast !!! Thanks a lot for that ! Super vidéo like always 🎉
Glad you liked it!!
Nice video!! I can’t wait for next video Pam and dfam!!! Please!
Oh man! I've been playing around with this. I can't wait to make this video! Super fun!
Great overview, it’s convinced us to upgrade to PRO… arriving tomorrow! Thanks for the great vid :)
You won't be disappointed...
I’ve owned both and IMO the upgrade isn’t really worth it. The PNW already has a crazy amount of features

Full tutoriel is a very good idea dude 😊
Yeah! I definitely need to do that. I need to get more familiar with all the functions first!
Fantastic! More More More! This is already a great help! 😊
Thanks so much! I will! :)
I’ve been thinking about getting Pam as a companion to my DFAM/M32/SubH setup.
It should definitely be on your short list!
