For those complaining about the colour of the water, it’s really common in theme parks to dye the water to hide any tracks, mechanisms etc. from the guests. Also, been as it does get all over you, it would have to have some sort of cleaning agent in it (like chlorine or bromine).
Your right. This, splash mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world and many more all use bromine for water treatment instead of chlorine. :)

I went to Universal Orlando for the first time with my friends and we thought it was just a regular log ride and boy were we wrong. They purposely soak you. This ride belongs in a water park . There's a sock gift store right next by the exit of this ride.
I was 8 and this was the best ride there imo and I was smart I wore a self dry dress which dries easily and I was front row cuz I really wanted to go and ye everyone was soaked but me after like Two hiurs
It’s a great ride and there are tons of little touches in the theme that make it really hilarious, my favourite was the Sign 1: “Scenic overlook ahead” Sign 2: “not-so Scenic overlook ahead”
When I went on this ride over a decade ago, they didn't have that train light at 3:55, so you drop in complete darkness and never see it coming. Scared the crap out of me, lol.

Splash Mountain may have it beat for theme and overall ride experience, but Dudley has the best drop on any flume by far. Very fun, and probably the wettest log ride (as opposed to the bigger boat shoot-the-chutes rides).
Both splash mountains and timber mountain (Go look up that ride's POV. You're just a log being sent downriver and following a logging community in the late 19th early 20th century. It's one of those 'Why the hell haven't other parks used this idea?' kind of themes) have it beat in theming.
Man, I remember riding this on opening day when I was 7, the ride didn't have those lap restraints for many years, just a classic flume style with steel bars running down the sides. It really freaked me out, you feel like you're going to fly out on the last drop from the air time. It also used to be notorious for the slow block section at the top of the waterfall, you'd sit there for up to a full minute at times.
I rode this 3 months ago and it was COMPLETELY empty (even though it was saturday and the park was FULL). We sprinted through the queue and it felt like a fever dream/ liminal space. The train drop made me drink boat water. Good times.
While the animatronics and scenery isnt the most impressive it kinda of reflects the original animation in an odd way and still manages to make the ride look so detailed and oddly timeless. I notice new things every time I ride it. Such a great logflume, one of the best!
The drop does not look bad but it is very intense. Probably because of the suspense, all of the lift hills, the previous drops, the log cart, and how loose the belt is, makes it very exciting and scary.

That last drop looks so innocent on camera and from the outside did the ride. My soul left my body rally quick on that last drop. Lol. I have anxiety and a bit of an anxiety attack after that drop. LOL. Its a fun ride but not for me. I hate drops. But of you enjoy them, this would be a cool and fun ride for you. I give it 5 stars. 👍🏾❤️

I rode this ride in July after they reopened and the water was actually pretty clean. Guess that's the inadvertent result of draining the ride for 2.5 months lol. Wouldn't surprise me actually if the shutdown results in more frequent cleanings, A, because everything will be sanitized more often in the future, and B, most parks probably didn't realize they needed new water, lol.
It’s so fun to ride first thing when its a hot day, so you’re nice and wet, making the heat a little more bearable. It also is way longer in person than you’d think. The drop is terrifying. Love it

I remember my 2 cousins, my sister and I loved this ride so much we went on it back to back 5 times. It ended up getting super dark when we went back on it for the 4th and 5th time but it was so much fun we couldn't contain our excitement

I use to watch Dudley Do right when I was a kid, (I’m so old lol but life was so different then), that’s when cartoons were plenty after school and early morning weekends. One day I hope to visit Florida, see as much of Florida as possible. It’s just me and my hubby and we live in So. Cal, we’ve already traveled through most of the Western states by car. I still love roller coasters and going on as many rides as I can, you’re never too old to still have fun! Thank you for sharing, but that ride looks like it’ll get you soaked from top to bottom, but it probably feels good being that you’re in Florida this time of year! 😁

Sometimes you get soaked from head to toe and sometimes only halfway. I think it depends on how loaded down your boat is.
