Typically I'll just use a clean cotton bud or soft cloth, microfiber cloth also works. Paper towels can be a bit "abrasive" so I would use caution if you try that.
Easy, can scrape loose with a wood stick, scrape with your nails, or stick tape to it and pull it off. I prefer to remove the paint from the metal by sticking tape to it, then use tweezers and a wood stick to remove the metal foil
