I use my autel im608pro2 to add keys to cars, I bought two keys from my usual key provider and I just normally code them to the car that I by them for but I am trying to code a key to a 2024 range rover sports, the keys are the same frequency and style but when it ask me to hold the key in had then to press any button it never read the kesy, I bought 2 more keys and it is the same results, i then decided to read the keys in the programer and I notice the keys say lock on them even tho they are brand new, how do I unlock the keys, I know how to do it with bmw keys and benz key but I don't see any option for range rover so I am wondering if I need to plug on to the car before I can do so? As for bmw and benz, you don't have to be plugged on to a car to unlock the key, so that's the reason I am asking to see if I can get some answers?
Question brother, if you get to where you want to add keys or even after erasing then pushing the engine button on it says “programmer cannot connect with ECU.” Why can’t we get to the next step?

hello, you have great videos, i have a customer with a 2015 LandRover Range Rover Envoque, just an add key, i have the IM508, in the vehicle coverage list it shows 2014-2015 by OBD but then it shows 2015-2018 on bench, how do i tell if it is a 2015 that i can do through OBD or not? Thank you
Nice job. Last few range rovers I did needed to pull the KVM and eeprom work for AKL situation. But its been about a year since the last one I did. I wonder if Autel recently updated the software on the tool? Anyway it will make it so much easier for the next one!
It’s very common on Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. The modules fail so often and most module are longer available so salvage units get installed. You will often get a VIN mis-match code as well but if the VINs don’t match the key learning may not be successful.
Hi, i really appreciate your videos. I just bought a IM 608 pro I tried to programme my 2013 suburu forester keys the scanner is saying it successfully programmed but it doesn't start the car, I tried it on a 2008 Toyota Avalon same issue any advice. Thanks
Subaru is a very sensitive car if u lost all keys its a pain I wouldn't touch it unless you know what you are doing. The toyota if you lost all keys you need to reset immobilizer box .. also go add the key wait unti the security light is off sometimes takes a couple minutes. Even if you don't wait it'll say successful but its not really successful untill the red light turns off

I just got the im608 two days ago the first two cars I tried it didn't work, I am wondering if its because i was doing it via bluetooth maybe I have to connect the scanner directly to the car.

Ask you for two keys. This is not like the Ford is it? When you need to keys can you program one on the Ford the same? You same way you did the Land Rover

Beware of smart key RRs. Some have a fireware update to the KVM. Which means if an unauthorized programmer is used, the KVM will lock you out. For this reason i dodn't touch Range rovers with smart keys

You always come through on the questionable cars. I ended up using an xhorse universal remote with the Auto pro pad I did all Keys lost it said I needed two Keys to start the vehicle. But the car Started and the remote worked with only one key in the system Hope it doesn’t turn out to be a call Back

Look up year and model also the autel gives you in site on car information

Most of the time you have to pull the KVM and read the eeprom when the alarm system is active.
