Plugged in you dont even need to plug it to the OBD port to read your Merc key. Windows connected to it and so long as you have the program running which is free download, put key in and there you see everything. CLASSY

This is awesome! I need a new key to my old Mercedes as my second key got destroyed by a puppy. Wondering if it's worth me buying all this equipment instead of taking it to the dealership where they will most likely charge me $$$$$$. With this equipment I could program other keys for my other old BMW too. Btw, what amazing translation you do! Both Spanish and English! Luckily I speak both fluently and also French! Ha. I believe in almost ready to start doing mercedes keys. I've been doing all others for last 3 years, but gaining valuable knowledge rapidly. Friend taught me the basics early on when i started but i had no clue on what he was talking about. His way was, removing chip from mother board and using this huge book that pointed at exact chip to undo solder and placing it on dongle and using all kinds of misc. wires. Read data, store data, label data then resoldering chip back onto mother board. Then transfer data to new key and connect IR key. HOPE I GOT IT RIGHT!. Your system seems similar but more straight forward. Please tell me if I'm on the right track.

Yeah and about the ACDP programmer. You get it and then buy modules. Land Rover/Jaguar module. Porsche Module. BMW module. The BMW though when you plug it to old on your iPhone you can program in the keys fast. Imagine your box size. Thats this unit ACDP. Plug to OBD and then wifi to iPhone. COOL. Not all cars are like this though. Jaguar/Landrover you have to work on the bench. Its all solder less though. 100% solder less. So much better. I checked coverage and Jaguar Landrover it covers everything. Porsche lots right up to 2018. BMW EWS I think. CAS 1/2/3/4 FEM BDC Very good. and it works from iPhone. yep no laptop required.

I had an all keys lost situation on my 2015 mercedes c300, so I had a key programed, that went completely dead a week later. Locksmith who programed it told me the entire programing process had to be done all over again at same cost as the first one . My questions are: what could have caused it to stop working and going completely dead so quickly? is it true that the entire programing process has to be done again, doesn't he have a file already he could just upload again to another key? Thanks.

Had a question. I tried programming a 2014 mercedes c250 with the im608. I tried using an ilco key but it would never write the file. I had no problem getting password. Are the ilco keys proprietary? Will blue rocket keys work that american key supply work? What are you using for your mb keys for FBS3? Thanks.

Disconnect the battery and make sure you have all your tools available do a little research on the vehicle on how to remove eis first

This is mercedes but what about crafter. The crafter has a key blade hu64 so have to suck out from eeprom i think. Do you know?

The xp400 pro is the newer version that covers more eeprom and vehicle coverage than the regular xp400

Had a question. I tried programming a 2014 mercedes c250 with the im608. I tried using an ilco key but it would never write the file. I had no problem getting password. Are the ilco keys proprietary? Will blue rocket keys work that american key supply work? What are you using for your mb keys for FBS3? Thanks.

Hey Mike I have an autel im508 with xp400 pro... I wanted to ask you will I still be able to to do Mercedes Benz and BMW and other German and European vehicles with this set up without the maxi flash unit?
Hello Member Greetings! Ok so you can do mercedes but in order to do programming on bmw you need the diagnostic j box (j2534)
